One of the other reasons why Bonnie and Clyde were so lethal was instead of just using a Tommy gun like most gangsters at the time did, was that Clyde used a Browing Automatic Rifle that used a 60 round magazine. He three 20 round magazines welded together. An automatic rifle chamered in 30-06 is through the car and out the other side prohibiting police from being able to take cover safely behind their squad cars. You could buy guns like this, in bulk, right over the counter, and we STILL didn't have murder rates or mass shootings like we do today. Tell me how it's the firearm's fault again?
@linkl_6641 bullshit. It's because the government started implementing mind control programs and propaganda that started reprogramming the soft-heads within the public to be professional victims with anger issues and a ton of excuses to lash out.
Firepower has increased. An AR 15 is just much better at killing people then a BAR/a Colt/Winchester or a Thompson. This is why the Army uses what is bascially an AR 15 and not a BAR these days.
@linkl_6641 This held true even in cities. People weren't afraid to walk tje streets of New York City or even to sleep out on the fire escapes during summer nights. Like it or not, we've experienced a culture shift that accepts random violence as a fact of life, and then tries to excuse or justify it so that we don't look too closely at the society we've created. The Prohibition-like War on Drugs certainly hasn't helped much either by creating powerful, and pervasive, organized crime, but that's more of the symptom than the actual disease.

And the gameplay is equally generic and boring; scripted event upon scripted event with the usual take cover/shoot, advance to trigger the next set of enemies spawning. "Press triangle to perform action". Same goes for hand to hand combat, and there weren't any melee weapons eh?

now only innercity thugs and cops have automatics. if the goverment cared about us, suppressors would be standard, to protect people's hearing. but no, of course not theyre a thousand dollars and six weeks for permission to buy one.

All this firepower for 2 criminals, overkill at his finest.

Mafia 2 Harry: Hey I thought my mom was the only one who said that!
They also did ambush attacks and at that time there was no police radio giving other officers a warning about what to look out for.

BAR - Browning Automatic Rifle
Here's a story -
Three Nazis walk into a BAR.
End of story.
You could buy guns like this, in bulk, right over the counter, and we STILL didn't have murder rates or mass shootings like we do today. Tell me how it's the firearm's fault again?
One of the primary reasons why was, and I’m not joking look this up, everybody was too far apart and there wasn’t enough people.
A gun is only a tool. Tools don't kill or hurt on their own. My guns have never shot anyone m
