Why don't you put that in the description this time? It still needs all the links and other information anyway?
Balu cus no one checks it
Turned out great! Stoked to finally meet you all
Thanks for doing it Trent! Can't wait to meet up again. -Austin
First I see your "Pro Drone Pilot VLOG" this morning and absolutely loved it, then later in the day randomly notice this title that appears to make it sound like there is a Flitetest video showcasing you?!?!?!?! BEST DAY EVER :D hehehe
Thats sick man! NOW the logo makes sense.
Damn ur good at buttering that machine
@@FliteTest you and Trent have the most underrated channels
I love Trent Palmer! His videos are awesome.
I don't think any other video made me want to fly as much as this one... that type of "throwing a paper airplane" kind of flying is just amazing, it looks like going out for a bike ride... in air
BOOM! That is exactly how I felt! ha
Igor Kolar get to watch "One Six Right" then.
That is what flying was like before the FAA.
Free.....
Trent is so "down to earth" and easy-going... ready to explain the critical details. He may be a wild man at times.... but beneath it all he is a professional, not a fool-hearty clown. I love it! Thanks for posting this video with Trent.
This was one of the best videos that Flite Test has released in the last two year or so. More like this. Thanks.
I already watch both channels and Trent manages to turn even mundane tasks in to a video that completely absorbs me. Probably the best channel I've ever seen, including Flite Test (although they are pretty great too)
Absolutely extraordinary! What a transition you have made to a "Bush Pilot" after drones. So well done. The places you do land is mind blowing and that comes done to knowing the capabilities of your aeroplane. Thank you so much.
This is the type of airframe and flight that really gets me excited! The utility is amazing!
I subscribed to this channel for the RC related stuff, but I'm really loving the general aviation videos. Keep this up.
Back in the early to mid nineties I worked diligently to get a video camera aboard an RC plane - the lack of lightweight cameras available at the time discouraged me because I didn't want to fly a giant aircraft. Im amazed at how the micro technology has made aerial video so common place.
Love the versatility of taking off and landing wherever you want.
That was one of my favorite episodes! My "drone to aviation story" is very similar.
STOL flying has always been my favorite kind of flying!
This was a great episode. I've been following Copter Kids for ~4 years so it's cool to Flite Test and them connect like this.
Awesome michael! They are legit! ha Trent is neat dude! ;)
Top marks to the editor/shooters. Great job.
Really cool, the intro looked like a model plane landing and I was hooked. Glad this kind of fun is still possible!
Trent seems to be a very interesting young man! Thanks for showing him off!
Awesome episode! On of my favorites!
Josh, just in case you read the comments, how about making a "FT KitFox"? It's superb and it would translate perfectly in foamboard being a "boxy" shape. Please do it!
A modified FT Cub would probably do it.
BlackHawk2029, or a modified ft bushwacker
i just built an ft bush cub
I think a paintscheme for it would be cool but I don't think the airframe is different enough from what there is now to warrant a new FT plane
It will be out in a few months, sadly not foamboard.
Great interview with Trent about his Kitfox. I follow both of your channels.
Great video. Keep up the good work!! I love how you spread the love of aviation. In my school I know no one that likes aviation. Great vid again.
Fantastic little airplane. Really beautiful too!
wow, this is an awsome vid, would love to learn more from these two!
Great video! Trent is the best.
Trent is a legend in aerial video! When I started my Aerial imaging company he was my inspiration. Copterkids and the crew from kopterworx
He is the man! ;) ha Great Pilot and even better individual!
Thanks for watching fr3style!
Great story and I love both channels. Interesting history Trent. Love it!
Way way back in the day, I used to hang out at KitFox, at their first factory (in Boise - just off Emerald, IIRC). So wanted a KF back then! Still do!
Reminds me of CAP colors. I got glider training in the L-23 Super Blanik; There is something unique and amazing about flight. You can explore the X and Y dimensions with your feet, but add a plane, and you've got freedom in the X, Y, and Z.
Really inspiring! Thanks for the video and awesome shots
Thanks for watching! Glad to have you a part of this awesome journey!
some great pilot talk here. I enjoy listening even though I dont have a rating of any kind. I still love to "talk shop" and learn.
i watched this video 6 times in one week .... i love it
Awesome! Josh, challenge for you. A flight test plane with clean cockpit like this plane that you can stuff an fpv camera in so you can fpv from the cockpit. Always thought it was a cool idea and you guys havnt done one yet. Biggie size the simple cub maybe. Just a thought.
keep up the great work guys
Sure would love to go for a ride with you! Love the videos, keep it up. Gives me inspiration of someday being able to fly. My brother lives in Truckee! Thanks for sharing you experience.
Great stuff, Josh
Trent Palmer - That's a gorgeous aircraft. Makes me wish I could afford to do what you're doing. :)
This was a really fun video, thanks for sharing
Thanks for WATCHING! ;)
Nice as always. :) You are not only promoters of RC hobby but aviation in general.
Nice job. Thanks
Great video and little airplane. I used to fly one mostly on floats and they are amazing when it comes to getting in and out of the smallest places........ seeing is believing! Play safe Trent it's a very short and sharp edge...cheers and happy new year 2018
That was uber-cool!
Trent knows his stuff!
Great stuff. Gotta get me one of those........ You guys are inspiring.
Great video guys.
That was a great episode, such a cool plane! Now I am tempted to buy one:)
RIGHT?! sick plane... makes me want to fly full scale! ha
It would be pretty easy to mount a small camera on the undercarriage and a LCD in the cockpit for some decent forward visibility.
Trent just did this mod actually!
inspiring from drone flyer into a bush plane pilot!
Nice interview
Videos are awesome
Great video awesome View
Doing a good job trent ..Art chase sackville nb Canada 5 miles from the novia Scotia border I.Watch every day.
Great interview- very informative 👏👏👍👍
Nice plane, I kind of want one now.
Cool Thanks flite test for inspiring me in flight! :)
Love it! I haven't done much bush flying, but my little experience with it is that it's awesome. By the way, another really good aircraft to look at is the Piper PA-20. About the same starting price point as the Kitfox if not lower, but it's a 4 seater. With the correct modifications (extended wings, balloon tires, etc) it'll do literally everything a Fox can do.
I fly with a couple pacers, they are great, affordable planes, and perform really well. However, they are much heavier and don't seem to take off or land as short as me. The 180hp one I fly with regularly does out cruise me pretty good though. That guy has capped off on modifications he can do for the most part so is building another one under the experimental category and that one may give me a run for my money! They are one of the best bang for your buck bush planes out there though!
Agree with Trent. For best off airport fun stay light and simple.
Good story you have, Trent, How is Nikk doing? I am also subscribed to Cory Robin's channel along with Mike's.
This is a different side of Josh than I have seen before. I'm an RC'er as well and appreciate multi aspect approaches to aviation.
My story is radio control. I'm not great but I have fun. The action cams you have are the same as what is on my airplanes. I love the slim profile of the Sony camera. Just about purchased a Rans S-6 set up for bush flying. A friend of Cory's discussed this with me. I have had type 1 diabetes for 52 years and occasionally have low blood sugar problems. Had I been flying earlier I would be dead now. Had to pass on being a pilot. Diabetes is an evil twin sometimes but it has not stopped me with this exception.
I got my bush plane yesterday. It is an E-Flite Timber STOL with floats or bush tires. Also a set of skis for Utah winters.
Thanks for sharing your sport and love your videos.
Prayers for Nikk.
Excellent video Guys!
I follow his Channel
Great podcast/episode combo
Thanks French Brown! I hope you enjoyed both and keep on listening and watching bc we will have more of that content in the future! ;)
I SO want to fly in one of these once!
I always wanted to build a kitfox! One day.
Love of flight. ❤️
Im a big fan of Trent Palmer. I would one day love to build my own plane, a kitfox or a Zenith CH750 superduty
Great guy
Indeed!! Quality!
Love the look of that cowl. Looks like a Beaver. It would be cool if it had an actual radial instead of a snowmobile engine.
insane!
Hi Flitetest. When are you guys gonna make a video about the build or testing of a plane using the 3D printed motor you got from Christoph Laimer?
Bump!
I'd love to fly a Kitfox. The only full scale aeroplane I flew was an tecnam sierra. A nice experience, but somewhat mundane compared to what a kitfox or similar STOL aircraft can do.
Beautiful plane, love how diverse its function is , shez a little beast :-)! :-) :-)
04:13 Donuts in a plane. Im so close to my license, cant wait to start on my tail drager training.
Great video you guys should check out the UMX Timber!
We shall see! ;)
Just seen this video after watching each of your channels and I’m surprised I can’t see flitetest making trents bush plane 🤦🏼♂️ 😂
Guys, I love it! I live within site of Kit Fox, and my buddy is a welder there! So we are flying our RC planes out in the desert near the "factory"! Come out and visit and fly some wild and wooly places! Josh! What do you say?!
Nice plane. I bet it would be a good plane for Alaska flying. You could get into all the good fishing holes.
MMM good point! ha
When you fly low, do you have a strategy for engine failure? the low altitude doesn't give you much leeway.
Someone needs to do a kitfox rc ARF!
น่าสนุก
please make a video on the e flite Valiant
At 12:00 that landing distance is the length of the roof of a bus!
Isn't this the music from the Wix ad we all get?
Except for those who don't, they don't get the ad.
Anyone else notice how much this plane looks like the FT Bushwhacker?
In many of your videos, a drone follows the airplanes and videos them. What drones do you use for that?
got an idea for a Gremlin Challenge: what about drone golf? Like Mini Golf..with Gremlins..or TinyWhoops, depending on perfomance. I imagine this could be very fun trying to hit the golf ball (or whatever you see fit) with a drone. Or you could attach a batter to a drone (3D printed batter maybe?) and do shenanigans with this.
And keep up the good work, really liking the stuff you do.
Greetings from Germany!
PS: Can't wait to order a Gremlin myself, as soon as I have safed up enough to get one ;-)
i need thi so much
Trent what person got you into RC ?
Trent was basically just on the "Oprah" of aviation enthusiasts. lol! Congratulations Trent!
Can we backorder the KitFox at backorder Hobbyking?
26 or 31" tires on the Kitfox out of sheer curiosity? Also, nice to see a Series 5, most are usually 4 or SS these days it seems.
White Wulfe 29" Airstreaks
Does that make peter sriprols plan an experimental aircraft
For visibility, could you install a cheap backup camera and screen for cars, but mount the camera under the cowl pointing forwards?
Yes, I have thought of doing that but never have gone through with it. It really is only a concern with the tail down while taxiing and I stop so quick I normally just pop the door open and stick my head out to see whats right in front of me while taxiing.
I want one I am already taking lessons
Wow
Wow this guy is awesome, I ended up searching for wikipedia articles on experimental aircraft, BLM land, and kit planes just because of this, guess the whole "I just learned from other people" is an opportunity for flite test to fill in :P
I love that most of this is acceptable to the FAA, but my home-built 1 meter R/C plane was restricted.
Your life is on the line when you step into an airplane. With an R/C airplane, no so much, but you can still screw up someone else's day in the sky.
THE MUSIC IS FROM MALAYSIA AIRLINES
5:50 wOw 😱 if you could land that quickly, you could literaly come and land in my backyard!
When are you guys going to fly that big 3D printed motor anyway?
Most aircraft are aerodynamically designed to stall from the wingtip in...Aileron, Elevator then rudder for loss of control effectiveness.
youbecha64 Actually they are designed to stall from the wing root then out to the wingtip so that aileron effectiveness is retained as the enters the stall so roll effectiveness is not lost. This is done by using washout, spanwise variation, or stall strips on the leading edge near the wing root.
Where is the Kit Fox speed build kit?? I'd buy that.
RIGHT?1 same here! ;)
In particular the aileron/flaps being detached from the tailing edge. I find that very interesting. Taking off and landing is a hugely fascinating aspect of aviation. This plane brings it.
So you'll we'll see it on the site next week??

the only plane for me is the bush plane ♥
