- Today we're doing a Dooney & Bourke Unboxing! This Dooney Wayfarer Flap Crossbody has been on my wishlist for a couple of months, and I'm so happy to finally have it in my collection. The Dooney & Bourke Wayfarer collection features luxe details like 24k gold plated hardware, Italian Nylon body and Italian cotton interior, vegetable tanned trim with aniline finish. These bags are truly well-crafted, and the best part? They retail for under $200- $100 if you find the right coupon code. And don't worry, I've linked the products below. Product Care:
The nylon fabric will initially repel water. However, if nylon is exposed to water for any length of time, it will darken momentarily due to some water absorption. Should this occur, blot with a dry white or light colored cloth and allow to dry completely.
For simple spot cleaning, use a soft cotton cloth slightly dampened with distilled water (sodium-free seltzer water may be substituted) and a mild bar soap, applied in a circular motion. Repeat with distilled water only to ensure no residual soap remains. The fabric should then be allowed to dry completely.
Oily spots should first be wiped free of excess liquid. Talcum powder is then sprinkled on the area and allowed to sit briefly. Using a dry toothbrush, gently brush the powder away to alleviate the soil.
The Vacchetta leather trim and handles will naturally darken over time with use and with exposure to light. No creams, polishes, cleansers, or leather conditioning products should be used on the trim and handles.
This year I'd love to add more pieces from Hermès like the Birkin size 40, Constance, 24/24 and Bolide. Maybe I'll be bad and get an Hermès Kelly 40! I also recently fell in love with the Chanel Jumbo- so that's kind of a must-have for my collection, along with a Chanel Mini Rectangle and a Chanel Reissue. Aside from those, I'd love to add a few more Fendi Peekaboo bags to my collection along with a Fendi Baguette. Make sure you subscribe to see what I buy this year!

I absolutely LOVE the quality and craftsmanship of Dooney & Bourke. I have 4 in my personal collection, along with Louis Vuitton- I haven’t found another brand yet that truly compares with all of the thoughtful details and quality.
I completely agree, Inanna! The quality is far and above what the pricepoint would lead you to believe it to be. And I absolutely adore my vintage AWL Dooneys- those are almost as good as my Hermes bags, I love them!

I love my Dooneys and think they have unbeatable quality! The feel of the leather is quite sturdy yet timeless beauty! I have been collecting them since 1997 and recently gave my bestie one for Christmas. And gave myself the same one, lol. Dooney you need to reach out to Caleb and send him a nice example to unbox. Oh my gosh!!! I love your new bag. The Wayferer definitely has a classic design and looks so stunning. Been eyeing some of the bags from that collection, myself. Guess what? My Dooney bag arrived today! It’s the Small Pebble Grain Drawstring in the color taupe. I absolutely love it, and it’s the perfect size. I didn’t realize that one of the straps can be removed, so I began going a little crazy with my leather hole punch and then realized, “silly me I can remove the second strap”. Lol. So now I have a few extra adjustment holes on the strap of my bag that are just kind of “there”. I figure it gives the strap some character now, and if I did want to, I could adjust the bag even shorter, so not that big of a deal in the end. I hope you enjoy your new bag! I certainly am enjoying mine. I also wanted to mention, that I have my eye on the Pebble Grain Margo crossbody (which of course, I would use as a shoulder bag - as I am not a fan of wearing my bags crossbody). The design/silhouette of that bag is so cute and I love the “slingy bag” kind of look to it. Perfect for late spring/and throughout summer. Not gonna get ahead of myself for now since my new Dooney has to get acquainted with the rest of his brothers. I think I am gonna name him Pete (using the “P” in pebble grain). He is relaxing and making himself at home in my lovely chair where I put my bag when I am using it, but not wearing it.

@@CalebSnell I’m still playing Oblivion, lol … I started revisiting the game a little over a week ago. That game is massive so I’ll be playing it for awhile! There’s some things I remember in that game and some things I don’t. This is my first time playing it since about 2007 or so. It’s my favorite from the Elder Scrolls series (yes, I even like it more than Skyrim). 🙂

I live in the Caribbean and I'm obsessed with D&B. But ordering straight from the site to my home address comes with customs duties based on the item price. Can someone tell me whether the box comes with a detailed receipt or is the price included in the box in anyway?
