Hi Dan, aside to this, could you do a video that summarises/discusses what feed , liquid or granular should be used and when throughout the year, From a new seeded lawn , getting it germinating and established, throughout the summer when it’s full and lush and then into the winter and throughout. I have most of your products but need better guidance which, when and how much to use a different stages 🙏

Those stripes are looking really good. It's great that you find the Harrier 48 Pro is up to the job, even when it's raining and the grass is wet. Also great tip about getting rid of the green staining on your hands afterwards 😁
We have great lawns in Bolton because it is always wet, grey and miderable. Oh and we have Dan to look after our lawns

Machines are designed to cut in wet and you’re so right, as I was a Head Greenkeeper, as we cut greens, fairways, semi rough and full rough. Just frost would stop, and it annoys me to see people walk across any grass with frost as it’s the worst way to BURN any grass with your feet.
Most machines are not designed for cutting wet. Unless very expensive top of the range.
You are wrong with all due respect. I’m thinking you have a rotary?? In that case it’s simply flattening down. I have Allets cylinders and always cut with cylinders and I’ve cut in the rain at my own home many times. How? Because I keep it short and regular cutting. But if you don’t have a rotary I will apologise, but I am happy to show you how to cut in the wet.

Nice tip on keeping the collector box/bag free of debris to let the air flow out and maintain the suction. I will give my manky collector box a good clean before the next mow.

One way ive found with my Hayter to stop wet grass sticking in the shoot or on the bottom is before i cut, i spray it with WD40.

Great vlog Dan and looking really good as always. Shamed me into going out at 8:15 to cut, rotary ran out of petrol so had to use cylinder, still getting loads off and cutting every 2 days! Today’s rain and liquids on last night make it daily cutting soon.

What is the reasoning between choosing the hayter or the allett mower?
Hi mate your channel has raised my lawn care game so much thanks mate .❤ can I ask What’s the mixing ratios for depetox 500 a little birdy told me 30ml per 5L = 100m2 knapsack but I feel this was too weak as it’s been 2 weeks and sill a lot of broad leafed weeds 😅
33ml for amenity lawn per 100m2 is the maximum individual dose, 3 apps per year.

Hi Dan, sorry I've not commented on a few videos now, trying to catch up 😂. I've managed to buy a Balmoral today so I'm looking forward to putting that to use. I'm really enjoying how your lawns are looking. I do have a quick question, I've been using granules for my lawn feed jobs, I'm just wondering if liquid feeds give better results than granules, I'm considering switching if they do. A lot of my grass has gone like a white stalky look. From this video, i'm hoping it's the regrowth thing.
My mower was blunt (and cheap) and would leave the grass blades ends split.
I kept it on a high cut but my have been too high.
I recently upgraded to a Hayter and I think it's starting to look better now 😂
Should I rake out the old bits as they appear? Or just do it fortnightly/monthly etc?

No it was made Monday or I’m a psychic as Didn’t i mention Englands rubbish performance? its too big for the Stirling too much wear and tear and the battery i dont think would last the duration with the grass it has to cut through

I’m going to be building out a watering solution with a 1250L Enduramaxx tank and then connecting it to a DAB JetInox 40/80 water pump with DAB control unit distributed out via 19mm Gardena Hose. The question I have for you, is would you be able to recommend how much of your products (stellar / orbit / grace / dans magic) would need to be added into the tank and can you buy these in larger quantities instead of 1L bottles so as to have appropriate levels in the water tank storage?
@@peters8858 only whats available is the size, you cant add to the tank unless your turn the water off so it doesnt refill weakening the solution as it refills and you couldnt use dans magic at all as it would show up where some got more some got less
@@DanielHibbertLawnExpert understood Dan. I will continue to use my knapsack sprayer to control the application of the liquid feeds and use the watering solution to move the water around the garden. It’s all about getting enough pressure to run 3 sprinklers at the same time.

What do you mean by "you'll never get it back to where it was if you let it grow out a bit?" You mean it gets too thick and your cylinder will always float and have stragglers? Can't you just reset it by cutting it a lot shorter?

Dan, we re seeded a few areas a few weeks back and have held of nitrogen, then we had the hot weather. Now it’s cooled off a bit would you recommend equilibrium or dans magic? We’ve also got quite a bit of weed grass (not sure if that impacts the choice)

Lawn care. My customers want nice lawns but don’t want to pay for the frequent visits as I suggest. So just curious. You clearly have customers that understand it comes at a cost having a nice lawn
@@Mhlandscapes well i prob dont charge that much i know other gardeners who charge more than me, with the vids and the products i dont need charge alot , i do alot of time for free as its a hobby too.
The idea of a nice lawn is great but reality is its expensive if someone doing it for you. Just like if you want a porsche your monthly repayment gunna be more than a kia picanto
Is there any time you shouldn't cut a wet lawn then? I was always told you do more damage than good by cutting wet lawns by compacting the ground. Is this advice just for people who cut every week?
@@wardy940 compacting the ground? Thats ridiculous. If you dont give a flying do dar about your grass then you can do whatever you want but if your keen to have it nice you gotta cut
@DanielHibbertLawnExpert hey, it's just what I've heard and read, hence why I ask for your expert opinion. Even the RHS would say the same and I'm RHS trained so you can't blame me for thinking so. But the proof is in the videos, I guess.

the Cologne Stadium, football turf seems to be cutting up quite badly , what in your opinion may have caused this

Gotta water loads coz of the sand content but because they are watering loads the roots dont need to go out and get water so they stay at the surface

Do you use Depitox on its own or as a mixer?
@@simonpattison9991 i did put it in the tank with galactic and orbit once id added my entire water content leaving 3 ltrs in a jug to mix the depitox in before adding to tank , never add near food and neat chemical together
Got my monthly fees to do but not sure whether to put it all on again. I think I put the equilibrium on then all the liquids minus the H2GO. Is it worth putting that on with the others too?

Honda is far superior for collecting grass in the wet than Hayter.

@@DanielHibbertLawnExpertIve started using the Honda HRH 536 three years ago after using Hayter Harriers for 12 years. I would never go back to a Hayter now. Dan you can’t base your theory on a mower that you used a long time ago. Designs of mowers change overtime.
