U can also farm lots of pp from suppressing kurds and later in the game you can core them.

Someone did a nice stat run on silent workhorse and it actually takes until like 1943 to end up paying for itself, kind of making it real bad for minor powers. Took it every game, haven’t since.
That is not even remotely true. 150 divided by .15 (the daily gain granted by silent work horse) equals 1,000. Therefore it takes 1000 days for silent work horse too pay itself of ,or in other words a little less than 3 years. This means that if silent work horse is bought in mid 1936 it will pay itself of in 1939 and afterwards all pp gained is profit. What you are saying however is true for 1939 start date but extremely false for 1936 start date.

Back when battle for the Bosphorus first came out, when you turned off historical A.I the US had a very good chance of going their unhistorical path. I conquered pretty much everything in Europe including Japan for the achievement as the US literally didn’t interfere with anything (making the game so much enjoyable).
The reason you just saw the Cairo fell is because that is when the Italiens hole the city, Iraq was the one that held it and they gave it to Italy
Edit: This is why when you play like Belgium or Netherlands and you are in the axis and take Paris that France doesn’t capitulate, you have to give it to the germans
