Take care and stay safe everyone!
To be honest, this was needed - Prague needed to breathe for a few weeks without the crowd and drunk tourists.
EXACLY ! And not just few weeks....
@Duke of Istria NOT just FEW weeks....
So true, guys! :)
@Little Reptilian Your profile photo is more deadly :D
@@Davud_Akh he or she is right tho
Prague looks so much better without hoards of people everywhere!
I disagree! People makes the city, without people there's no city, only a bunch of brick and stone
@@luismarques9280 Locals yes, tourists no
@@luismarques9280 As someone who lives in Prague, I absolutely despise visiting our sights because of the people there.
@@Azdrawee Prague needs tourists otherwise the all city economy is going to the drain. Sad times...
@@luismarques9280 Prague doesn't need half as many tourists as it has per year though.
Prague feels like a city that would have vampires.
You can see one at 0:22
Like Jack The Ripper about to kill you type of city 😭
Souk Khanhsila As a Romanian I agree with this
Haunting beauty also in this way. Keep calm, be strong, be patient, be safe (I'm stressing this point guys, even I know it's your work). We'll pass even this moment :)
Love from Italy.
Love to Italy from czech! You guys are heroes. Keep fighting. You got this. Ive never been to italy but GOD, I need to come after this all is over.
You people should not have let all.those.chinese in to your country. Now all.of you are paying the price
@@infobulb wtf? The only Chinese people who were infected were isolated before they could harm anyone else. We were the first ones to block any travels from and to China, but it happened anyways. The only thing we could have done was blocking everything sooner, but it was inevitable
much love to everyone out there in the world, hold on, hang in there, things will get better soon and we will all be ok!
please, do not come back.... its really annoying for local people, seriously, Its too much.... nothing personal, but the overtourism is a real issue here
@@letecmig The economic blow will be huge if that happens mate!
Trust me. I live in a Greek island and I shared the same thought with you for so many years....until the tourists finally "left". You can not imagine the disaster that followed.
@@nickolasgaspar9660 Prague is NOT a greek island:) Tourism is just a negligible proportion of Prague GDP. Prague's economy is very diverse- obviously you do not see this when typical tourist just goes back and forth on about 30-40 streets in one small district of PRG (historic center of PRG makes about 3% or territory of the city). Think about Athens- but Prague is more diverse economically.... tourism around Acropolis- Imagine tourist who just spends his three days around the hill thinking 'economy of Athens depends on tourism'- kind of uninformed thinking, isn't it?
Yes, overall situation will be big hit to economy of PRG, but because of general slowdown of economic activity due to lock down of locals and businesses in general. Yes, the tourist-related businesses in the historic district will be hit, but that is not the key problem for PRG economy. Also locals typically do not work in these tourist-related jobs as they are low qualification/low pay(its mostly ukrainians, russians, slovaks, you rarely find anybody from Prague working there)
Its kind of funny how so many tourists think that 'key economic sector of Prague is tourism' just because they do not really explore the city and they typically do not even speak to a single Czech person during their stay:):)
I am not saying we should prevent tourists to come here, but its just too much and especially about half is just a 'tourist trash' . Prague should limit the numbers to about half what it has been and stop the 'thrash' that come for 'cheap beer'. No point having masses of foreigners creating low paid restaurant and reception-type jobs for other foreigners making walk in the historic center 'not pleasant' for locals.
@@letecmig not to those who live from the industry....
@@letecmig Yes I will agree with some of your points...but again....just a quick search.
"The tourism industry which includes hotels, restaurants, tours and travel agencies is playing an exceptional role in the economy, contributing nearly 60% to Prague’s overall income. "
www.prague.com/v/economy/
60%! Can you imagine a blow at the economy and unemployment, well unfortunately we don't need to imagine, we have a real life scenario at our doors???
Sending all love to Czech Republic, especially Prague, one of my favorite places in the world❤️
Spooky as hell in so many ways. Hope you are safe and well.
Big hug to the people in Prague. Stay safe and healthy and enjoy some time with your families.
Big hugs only help the spread. Big wave :)
@@MegaBlueT very true.. virtual internet hug only. :)
I just realized that Prague would be an amazing setting for a “La La Land” musical....just call it “Praha Land”
Watching these pictures reminds me of my childhood. Growing up in Prague some 20+ years ago, it looked much more like this. It stuns me how the never-ending mobs of tourists transform it completely, the experience of the city has become so different that I forgot how it used to feel. Thanks for reminding me.
This seems like one of those time when you could accidentally bump into a pale stranger biting on some guy's neck in alley way.
Stay safe, be well and soon all will be right in the world! We love you Prague! We love you Czech Republic!
I went to Czech in 2018 for sightseeing and love the country. Not only its culture but diplomatically respect. Thank for the video, please stay safe and healthy.
Omg it’s eerie to see. Stay safe everyone and Happy St Patrick’s Day from Ireland🇮🇪. Heres 1 Shamrock filled with love and peace ☘️ Rub it and make your wish.
Potcheen on the road ☘ Thanks man! Stay safe from the United States.
Is it still called Ireland? I thought your country was called little nigeria now.
infobulb Actually we call it Éire as I think myself it sounds and looks better. Look it up and educate yourself ,, here’s a clover for you 🍀
Happy St Patrick’s Day from Northern Ireland. Stay safe.

Stay strong beautiful (people) of Praque. I will be back and will once again love every second of it. Amazing city. Love from Dordrecht, Netherlands.
I miss prague! I wish everyone would be safe there ♥️ #lovefromIndia
I'd thought the residents of Praha would enjoy their city without the massive tourist influx. But with the present situation even they are not in a position to enjoy. Be safe and stay calm.
All Things Must Pass, as George Harrison sang many years ago.
With best wishes to all from Kolkata, India. AB
Ashish Basu - it must be true, because George himself passed. Ringo is immortal though, and he’s sticking around.
Watching this almost 4 years after the start of the pandemic and the unprecedented lockdowns all over the world gives me chills. The pandemic really altered all of us in many ways. I am just glad that traveling is now in full swing and we all get to move for leisure...and see Prague once again.
Magical. Keep the good stuff coming in these difficult times. And stay healthy.
good luck chaps stay healthy
Prague. my soul is always with you. from Japan.
This is the Prague I love.
Siate forti. Andrà tutto bene. Amo Praga. ❤️ Be strong. Everything will be fine. Love Prague. 🇮🇹👍🇨🇿
Thanks to Your channel Ive visited Prague in mid january, great city, amazing food, lovely locations. Thank You again for your guide tips. Take care and stay safe. Love from Silesia Poland!
So our planet is on cleansing diet right now... side effects are: dolphins are back in Venice, Prague looks more beautiful and people do care about each other more than ever.. hopefully we (humans) will learn something from all this
The planet has nothing to do with this, it is only a momentary halt on human debauchery, nothing will change.
@@StopMediaFakery wow.. what a douche :) the best part is that you got NOTHING.. just text full of complaining but NO solution, right? The Trump way :) Go back to watch FOX news
@@StopMediaFakery You seem like an interesting oddity. Prey tell, who owns a majority of the media, the masons or a certain chose peoples...
Who pushes all of this modern media and who in most cases educates those young artists, creates their schooling plans, etc.. The masons or those people.
I had no idea the night lighting of the buildings was so beautiful.
Děkuji za neskutečně krásné záběry Karlova mostu a okolí. Nádherně tajemná atmosféra. Pokud to půjde, prosím více takových nočních naladovych videí krásně nasvicenych památek. Když už nemůžeme cestovat, můžeme se kochat. Bez těch davů to vypadá moc hezky. Zdravím ze Zlína :) chraňte se a držte se.
This reminds me of my time there in the late 1980s before the arrival of capitalism when there were very few tourists. Barring this pandemic we will never see this city so quiet again. They were good times for visitors but but I’d imagine that most residents were glad to see the end of communism.
Silver lining no lovelocks on Charles bridge. Be safe !!!!!
1:47 And the best thing about it? Closed trdelník store on the right.
Janek and Honza, thank you for this moment of beauty. I am looking forward to my next trip to Prague, whenever that might be.
I wish u all luck honest guide. Prague is one of my favourite cities
Our trip to Prague is cancelled. My heart is sad. But stay safe everyone. I hope to see you soon.
Your goverment took an drastic but smart step to keep you save. Today would have been my last day in Prague before heading home. There will be a time in the future when I am actually going to see your beautiful city.
Sad but... What can we do. Stay safe ppl. Greetings from Serbia
I’ve never seen Prague look so beautiful oh my Lord
Damn, a week ago I was still there roaming these streets. But honestly I felt Prague's centre is hard to enjoy because of the masses of tourists. Now the locals have it back at least for some weeks.
sadly this is a hard time for locals, not a nice break... we're under quarantine, it's not like we can just go strolling about old town. hundreds of locals who work in tourism are going to be devastated by this financially
@@EVBell-gz8iv Yeah I know, it's the same here in Berlin. Working in the tourism sector myself (only part time though) I know that the upcoming months will be a challenging time for many people.
To je prostě velmi smutné! I když mě potěšilo vidět Prahu, když ji turisté neudělali ...
Beautiful place. Visited it last year and loved the people, the food and the sceneries. All thanks to you.
Wow it's incredible to see it so empty!! Look after yourselves
Finally you can see Prague :)
Wow...that looks Beautiful and Scary at the same time!!
Perfect time to get photos at the popular tourist destinations
Was recently in Prague. Had a wonderful time!
Maybe I did not pick the best time to be in Prague but I'm still glad to be here.
This was confusing, one the one hand it looks so eerie and sad without human life, but on the other it looks amazing being able to see the city without the crowds.
Hang in there Prague! We all got this! Love from Serbia
Muj domov ♥️
I already miss you so much!!
I am from Ukraine. I was in Prague on 14 March, there was a lot of people in the streets.
So sad that this beautiful historical city is empty 😢
I was there 3 years ago. It is a wonderful city. I’m sad now. 😭😞
me too, I was there 2 years ago, it is a beautiful city and if only this virus didn't exist, this wouldn't have happened.
I was only in your beautiful city 3 weeks ago. My 5th or 6th time. Its chilling to see that. I look forward to returning later this year when we are on the other side of this.
Stay safe...Janek and Honza..... Love from India🇮🇳
Wow so peaceful and serene
Seeing empty cities is like seeing someone naked, it shows their full beauty but also all of their scars. Those scars remind us all the hard times cities had to witness in the past, but also shows us that wounds can heal, no matter how deep they are.
Stay safe! Best wishes from Austria!
Same wishes for you, close southern neighbours!
That's really beautiful to be honest
I’ve never been there but it looks just beautiful. Thank you for sharing and many good wishes to the world
It looks so beautiful 😍😍😍😍
So glad I got to see this city right before the borders closed, very beautiful city! 🏰
This is a very sad situation Janek, but it might be somehow appreciated by some locals. Then again the economic downturn will likely be severe for all as well as businesses. Are restaurants and bars closing down?. In early February I abandoned all hope of visiting Prague and Poland in July for my 5th trip from Australia. Italy has just overtaken China in number of deaths - this was unthinkable just 2 weeks ago!. Hunker down because it's likely to be a totally tragic worldwide event.
We need to hold on ....everything will be ok soon !
Don't be so optimistic, the corona epidemic is in the exponential phase, the worst is to come....
@@luismarques9280Worst to come???
@@edschildphotostudio5127 Yup, more people will die, economy crash, lack of goods...and after all that a new boom and then another crash ;) History repeats itself

God bless Prague! Hope everyone there keeps safe and healthy! Although my trip to Prague this Oct has to be cancelled probably, I will meet the amazing city someday! Best wishes from China!
Nice, you may keep us busy with these posts !
Looks amazing actually. Most cities look great with no hoards of people in the streets.
thank you for posting this beautiful and monumental video. nice work

Beautiful city.
Cool , I wanna visit Prague during such period , when there is no many tourists and of course when there is no Covid
Can anyone please tell me the name of the song?
Take care
A very bizarre sight. God, it looks bloody beautiful though, as always. Czechs should be commended for the way they have handled this crisis so far. No scenes of panic in the supermarkets like we've seen in some countries. What does that say about the Czechs? What does that say about some of these other countries?
Thanks, china
