8:43 yes, Janek is Honza, it is the same name. Janek is from the name Jan which is equivalent of english John and german Hans from which the czech diminutive Honza comes. All of them are each others equivalents in their respective languages.
"Where do you see yourself in 20 years? - at the same place." In 1994 I went the first time in Czech Republic and in Prague. We also visited Karlstejn Castle. I were there again in Prague and Karlstejn 2014 for 20th anniversary. At the same place.

GoldPaulike he doesn’t want it to become Prague which is overrun with tourists. Romania is one of my favorites, as well. I visited with a Christian mission team in 96 and 97 for 2 weeks each in the south (Bucharest to Motru and Timisoara). I visited a pastor friend in 99 for a month. I lived in Targu Mures for 3 months in 2017, and have been back to visit friends since. I love Bucharest, Sinaia, Brasov, Sibiu...so amazing.
OMG! Do you like Romania?! 😮You actually made my day brighter. I like so much when people talk nice things about my country. I am a student here and I've wanted to visit Prague for such a long time but I couldn't afford it. Maybe after all this crisis is over I make the effort and apply all the tips you shared so kindly on this channel while visiting your beautiful country. Thank you very much for the work you do to provide us with worthy information! Lots of love from Romania!😘😍😘😍
You will travel in Roumania. Wonderful :) My new favourite city is Prague (until 2019 was Amsterdam). I hope you will enjoy Roumania. Ana from Bucharest:)
This is maybe my personal take but I feel Janek so tense/uncomfortable after this whole video that he clearly left down his guard and went for a big hug after it.
@@alexg.8212 WOW. I didn't know this and I am from Romania. But you know in Moravia there are too a group of vlahs (latins from the Eastern Europe but in a lot of cases they're just Romanians) Who still have traditions that resembles with romanian ones but they lost their language and now they speak a weird and more archaic Czech.
Looking forward to seeing Prague then Brno! Almost made it, but as nations closed borders, I had to cancel flight. I will be looking for your book when I arrive, hopefully in fall. You guys stay healthy and keep up the great work! Wishing you best from America
When I was kid, English was first time in 4th class on Elementary, later it was since 3rd class I think. So it's somewhere around 9 years as they said. But school will not teach you English, you have to learn it alone if you want speak that. I couldn't say anything in English even on highschool, everything changed since I am on internet mostly on non Czech pages and videos and since I started traveling.
This video is also another cultural showcase of your country. Humour is rather sarcastic and seems used as a shield for people who are shy or reserved. And the gay couple question and how it is ambiguously resolved is also a sign of the current state of LGBT perception in the Czech Republic, so thanks for all this subtext which is also very interesting. By the way I am 42, French living in Spain and have still not been to the Czech Republic but I love your videos, you really love the place where you live and want to ensure it remains a quality place.
Don't overanalyze and generalize. Treat them as individuals with their own personalities. After all, everyone is different. I just don't see how one can determine the perception of LGBT in the Czech Republic from the behavior of two people. A poll shows that approval rate of same-sex marriages in the Czech Republic is about the same as in the US, not that much behind France. One should be careful with assumptions, as that's how stereotyping and discrimination starts.
Regarding this emptiness in cities - I live in Krakow (PL) and last week went to the Market Square - I realised that it's empty, because there is no "tourists" (people from outside of Poland) and locals know that except for overpriced restaurants there is nothing (well, some of old monuments, but how many times can you watch it)
