I had a ‘06 C50 that I bought from a colleague in ‘08. Paid 3500 and it had 5K on it. It had an aftermarket touring package. I drilled out the pipes and removed the baffles also added a better seat. It was a great bike for me after an absence of riding for a number of years. Traded it in ‘14 for a ‘12 Yamaha VStar 1300 Tourer with 7 miles on it. Now I ride a ‘20 Road King. That Suzuki was a nice bike.

    Jerry,
    Great video and right on.
I bought one of those in 06. It was a C50T. Came with bags and windshield.
I needed a Mustang seat for mine and fork windshield defectors. I also did some 400 mile days...not bad .
I rode it 18000 miles in one year.
Then I tried to adjust the valves but you needed the hands of a 2 year old. Finally just bought an 08 electraglide new and that fixed all the problems.

Great video, I like it when you review other bikes that aren't Harley's. I still have my Goldwing and Valkyrie which are great bikes. However, a Road King purchase may be in my future. I did a test ride on a used 2018 RK Classic a couple of months ago and really liked it. The dealer has my info and if they come down a little bit on the price and agree to store it for me until spring, I'll probably pull the trigger and buy it. Keep making those great videos!

Now! Probably $3000. Right before Christmas. I live in South Florida and everybody I know is dumping off all of their extra bikes. Vintage club guys, collectors, car guys, boat guys etc. People are selling jet skis, dirtbikes, motor homes. Everything except guns. They are buying guns and Ammo. And some vintage cars. But bikes are going. Most of my friends say they have too many. I have 5 in my garage. 3 are mine. One vintage AMF bagger and one 1990s bagger is my friends. He has 2 FXRs in storage. He pays $6000 a year to keep them there. I let him keep them in my garage for free. I think that is one reason why people are dumping their bikes. The cost. Some of these vintage guys own 25-50 bikes in all state of repair. Some perfect and some for parts.

I have to keep my 1982 Zuk GS1100 to start when it's sunny and cold. The Sporty 1200 says no go below 45-ish degrees. Oh ya, the Zuk has 45K and is carbureted compared to my fuel injected Sportster. The Zuk also does NOT sit on a tender and the HD does, yet it does NOT start (vtwin shocker battery that is only a year old bought right from my HD dealer). Wet-sumped 20-50 is hard to churn to get back to the oil tank.

Jerry, I could tell right away it was a Japanese vtwin as it turned over so-easily. HD seems to under power their starters, not enough CCA's or too little awg battery cables, as that first half crank sometimes stops on an Evo before it continues to crank. That's a real northern climate buster. Indian Scout forums complain of the same. Many on the Sportster pages have said HD's just don't care for starting below 40; that's a real shame and I can personally vouch that even on a tender, fuel injected, this is the case. This Zuk maybe a good alternative to those enthusiasts who ride year-round. Your video was a fair assessment of the capabilities of the Zuk cruiser. Jerry, keep reviewing other brands.

Since Polaris shut down Victory some time ago, parts will be harder and harder to come by. The Vision is a big long heavy bike and will require lots and lots of practice to master. Check the Indian forums to find the problem areas on the Indian bikes. I know that the Chief Vintage had problems with rust. The Vintage's best year was the last year they made that model (2021 or 2022) In it's last year they shortened the wheelbase and rake making it a much better handling bike.

We had many fantastic deals on Honda Shadows, Yamaha Road Stars (👍👍👍) at two HD dealers I worked at, packed in storage sheds.
They do not want Japanese trade in's. They go to auction and fetch peanuts. After all the diddling with interest rates and refusing to disclose such, adding points at both ends, concentrating of monthly payments and not price, then just plain redirection, it's easy when dealing with an eager customer! Wrong....but easy.
Some fantastic bargains are to be had, especially if you'll take it with you and pay cash.
No HD dealer wants to be seen selling the virtues of a Yamaha Road Star and trust me, it has many! A great bike. Even V-Rods can be had at nice prices, as knuckle draggers don't understand them, chest thumpers feel they are not a Harley, real riders cannot deal with a thimble for a gas tank and most first time Sportster riders would kill themselves at the first bend! They can be very quick with very little outlay. Just don't look at one as an investment, convert it to a 5 gallon tank (whole rear end removal required) a stiff front fork brace, air shocks, decent tires (Pirelli Night Dragons 👍) Kuryakin (sp?) Mini floorboards, TAB zorst system, a tuner and 2" cut down FLH bars and its a "nice" bike that'll give just about any other Harley a real run for its money, outside of a Buell. Just avoid bends.
Harley dealers often have some great Japanese cruisers stashed they really wish they did not!
