Kubey seams to do good on all models even there budget stuff has good action. I tend to go for a more pokey blade sure when i am going so.ewhere Im not sure of. Its just natural to me. I agree on the putting ridges right under where the clip goes in your pocket and its actuallydone quite often as I. Sure you know that. I love ferrum forge, arcane is another that makes some good knives that will keep your cupcakes safe just a lot of options out there and I love it

I like the tanto. Usually carry a fixed blade for Tactical EDC. It might not be legal now. What lightweight tactical folder 3" to 3 1/2" blade would you recommend. Years ago I carried the Emerson wave but not for me. The Cold steel is too heavy and usually too long. Thanks for all the insightful information.
Kubey is firing out some great designs with thier premium line up. Not a big fan of the tigerstripe Ano but Jelly Jerry made a great looking knife, does look like some other knives but then again most do. Not a big fan of Karambit knives but for those who are it is a great budget option and being able to move the wave feature is a good call as well. The Royal looks great in premium trim but I wish they would have kept it as a liner lock, just personal preference, definatly puting it on the list to check out though as I really like the budget version. And the Malice has always been one of my all time favorite designs, It just looks like a masterpiece to me. And I really like this flamed anodizing. This is a straight up win for me. Looks like they fixed the nitpicks on the wrath. On the site you can see it has a reversible deep carry clip and they opened up the area around the wave hook to make it catch easier. You must've gotten a prototype.
The Kubey Hyperion in plain Ti has a pretty similar form factor to the Tactile Archer. I keep missing out on the Archer. But I picked up the plain Ti Hyperion from Atlanticknife for $145.

Regarding budget Kubey: i recommended Tytius model to my friend, who left it in washing machine by accident. Blade opened, knife tumbled and the blade detached from the handle, haha...upon my inspection the pivot hole of the blade was very thin and not sturdy at all so it cracked. Now the amount of material around the pivot is the first thing I'm checking in a knife as this is probably the most important spot of the folding knife. I hope their higher end models are on the tougher side, I'm about to get one.

I've bought a couple right handed knives and gave them away to friends because I just didn't understand, now I do. I don't buy knives that don't have a reversible pocket clip and I prefer flipper tabs.

I really wish people would stop broadcasting knives as "self defense items" it does the community zero good. Doug Ritter is out there fighting everyday to get more knives available to everybody, and we're out here battling AGAINST him... makes no sense. Can they be used, yes but so can literally a million other everyday items. If we're truly trying to better the community we need to stop this nonsense.
I hear what your saying and agree in spirit but I think it’s bigger than that. We shouldn’t have to self censor ourselves and how we speak or advertise knives in fear of having knife rights taken. An important part of the right in itself is the ability to have open and realistic discussions. Self defense IS one, of many, possible uses of a knife and there is nothing wrong with that. The rights should protect all aspects.

Daummmn, I am such a sucker for karambits and when I saw the Wrath I was like - OMFG !!!!....but when I saw the wave feature and not reversible clip I was a sad panda :( I just don't get it, how can anybody make such an awesome knife, design-wise and at the same time screw up the most important elements of the folding karambit like the wave feature and the clip ? The clip must be reversible because some ppl are left handed and what is the point of including the wave feature when it doesn't work properly, the wave feature in folding karambits must work ALWAYS - period. I was thinking of buying it for a back up - left pocket, because the right one will always be occupied by Brous Blades Enforcer which is like a bench mark for folding karambits, it's just perfect in every aspect, so no way it'd go the left pocket...but I am not gonna buy this Kubey unfortunately because it seems to be highly unfunctional and for me knives are primarily tools - they must be functional, especially the self defense knives. A shame Kubey, a shame, I hope you will release Wrath 2.0 with all these "bugs" removed.

I have that same exact jelly jerry kubey. My only complaint is the pocket clip... other than that, a knockout knife for sure.

Putting the lockbar cutout on the inside weakens it! You want it as parallel to the blade as possible
