She could probably heal his wounds, but not everything. He’s essentially in a coma and his blood is filled with damaged spiritual pressure according to Tenjiro.
@@scottvgamer1163 Was this whole damaged spiritual pressure bit ever mentioned before the hot springs guy showed up? Also any reason they couldn't bring in Orihime to heal their wounded? I know things in Heuco Mundo might not let her or something like that but why wasn't that option even considered?
@@sammydray5919 Orihime does have limits on characters with high Reaitsu, remember way back in the Arrancar Arc she couldn't heal Ichigo's Reaitsu and Unohana did instead, or how she couldn't just 'reject' Ichigo losing his powers.
Byakuya was to hurt for them to heal, you don't need to know every detail that second on why, especially as they did explain that yes even his Reaitsu is carrying the damage with the hot spring stuff.

Man Unohana is strong. Now if only she had actually contributed during the Quincy invasion. Squad 4 remaining out of battle makes sense but Unohana not fighting?? Hell nah. Also don't think the Gotei can afford losing someone of her strength in such a dire time but for some reason every character just goes along with it. Terrible writing all around.
Poor Isane, her captain was selfish bitch who just decided to essentially abandon the 4th squad at pretty much the worst time possible and now she has to manage the squad all one her own.
Wasn’t all Unohana’s decision, it was mainly Shunsui.

Also full power Kenpachi>Weak Kenpachi and Unohana. Unohana was taken out by Base Kenpachi once he got his powers back, and he still got stronger with his Shikai.
@@sammydray5919 the idea is to sacrifice their best healer for WAY more power than they had before. The reason Unohana and Squad 4 were told to stay in the barracks was likely because it would be hard to heal anyone out in the frontlines without getting involved with the battle itself. Unohana would have been a formidable opponent and valuable asset in battle, but Kenpachi surpassed her in her bankai state WITHOUT even a shikai. And in case it’s not obvious, he will unlock it (if he hasn’t already just from learning his Zanpakuto’s name). Don’t even get me started on what a bankai could potentially do for him.
Yes, this choice is very controversial, but I think it’s supposed to be. It’s a bold move that Yamamoto wouldn’t have made as a head captain, so we’ll need to see if it was the right choice or not (no spoilers, but I would like to think it was).
@@scottvgamer1163 I know thats the idea. But its a stupid ass idea. Before killing her Kenpachi had already surpassed her and regained his strength. After that there was no reason for her to die. He had already beat her so there was no further need to combat any further. He was no longer shackling himself so he would be able to hear his zanpakuto moving forward. The overall goal had been accomplished so her dying her quite literally has no merits. No seriously what does her death accomplish after he had already beat her.
Yes I know she felt her goal was fulfilled and wanted to die but in such a circumstance that is beyond selfish and Kyoraku is beyond stupid to allow her death. Strategic wise and in just common sense, its a dumb decision overall.
