Thanks Martin, I've done an awful lot of wingfoiling when most people wouldn't bother, happy to share :)

Thanks for the video. Yesterday the wind really dropped off and with the shifting wind directions, I could not stay upwind. This technique could save my day.

I have used the "sidecar" or "catamaran" technique in this video. It's certainly the least effort for sailing around in almost no wind, but it's not the fastest way. I use two other techniques if I want to go faster: 1) I stand the wing upright on the board, resting against the end of the strut on the padding. This exposes more wing surface to the wind and the strut does not cause drag in the water. Almost as efficient as windsurfing, but of courses the board needs a little bit volume since you put more weight on it. 2) Instead of just holding the wing steady, I use the strut to paddle. This works best when you are going upwind (because paddling naturally turns you into the wind).

Interesting, I'll try that, thanks :)

Looks like 6m wing. What litre board and your weight? Very informative! Keep the videos coming. Cheers!

Yeah, its a 6m wing and a 110L board (i'm 80kg (ish)). Thanks for your kind comments, hope to get some more stuff up soon :)

What is your weight and board volume Thanks

Hi Tony, this board has more volume than my weight, which will make these techniques as efficient as possible. I think it's a 110l board with me weighing 82kilos.
I think it would still work pretty well down to 70 or so litres for my weight
