Bathgate Slaughterhouse ~ April 2020

This former ABP abattoir closed its doors in May 2005. Sat derelict for almost 15 years, the building has endured fire damage, vandalism and has been stripped by metal thieves. From what I can gather, the building was maintained up until 2009.

I grew up in Bathgate. I never realised we had our own slaughterhouse.
I assume it lay on the outskirts of town somewhere.
