EXTREME HOT TENT. POPS UP, INSANE HOT

  • I love camping in the extreme cold, especially when I have a hot tent to keep me warm. This tent is the hottest. It's a double-walled cocoon that can stand up to the coldest weather that nature can throw at it. Even when it's -50 outside, this tent can scorch its way to +110.
I love using the stove in this tent. It's a very unique design, it burns hot and slow and it's very fun to use.
On this night I got frosted up pretty good, but the tent was blistering hot. It made for an incredible sleep alone in the woods.

Love all of your videos, It's makes me nostalgic for my younger days with my wife and sons and our tent camping experiences. --- So sad that she is long gone now and my 2 sons have had and are raising children of their own. --- I'm too old and feeble to camp anymore, but I live vicariously thru your excellent videos. --- Treasure your time out of doors, it will pass away just as the snow melts in the Spring. --- Thank you for your gift to all of us. God bless you and keep you safe

This is what I need to start doing. I've lived alone for 5 years and don't really have friends around so I don't go out to do things because I'm nervous when alone. But I would have zero issues alone with the nature and I could relax

Great video as always! One of my go-to's is Costco hash brown mix, an egg or 2, with some bacon for breakfast! Usually cook the bacon first and take it out to cut up to toss in later. So that when you cook the hash its cooked in the leftover bacon fat, after that's crispy push it to one side of the pan crack an egg or 2 in and scramble it up. Mix all together and top with Ketchup. SO GOOD

I am a tea drinker going way back to the mid-1960 Red Rose is my usual brand, But I love Earl Grey. I get my tea drinking from my grandmother, she died in 1969 at the age of 93. I put a little sugar in mind and I keep the spoon in the cup. This goes back to because she would drink tea in a glass and a silver rod kept the glass from cracking. It's an Eastern European and Russian thing. I am saving up to buy one of these tents. The ease of setup and durability will fit my needs. I drink coffee, more out of habit it's Dunkin Donuts where I live, it's good coffee. I find that tea is a lot easier to carry and brew out in the woods. I am going on an 8-month 7-state trout fishing road trip. Being retired I get to play now. Right now all I do is tie flies and work on my truck to get all the things that I need to do before I leave. Doing shocks and some suspension work this month.

My husband and I have been homeless sleeping in our car for a little over a month now. We live in Maine. So it’s cold. I love that we are adapting to the cold. It’s nice to know that we can survive in this weather. I thank god for our car and the protection that it gives and if it gets too cold we can turn on the heat. We’ll be going to a shelter soon but I’ve got to say a year ago we would have froze to death in this weather but we’re comfortable now in 20 degrees Fahrenheit right now.

I find nothing beats a coffee in the morning and I'm English too.
    AM=Coffee PM=Tea. Evening=Cocoa.
Coffee when camping is espresso or French press. Sweet and creamy is hard to beat I find.
Tea is Earl Grey or English breakfast. Both with milk during the winter, without during the summer.
Cocoa with hot milk is the ultimate night time drink, and helps keep you warm during a cold night too.
Breakfast must involve bacon, and i love a hash with beef / pork / bacon and scrambled eggs / hash potatoes and salsa / cheese and a hot sauce. Add in a tortilla or two for a brunch meal.
I do not know why, but anything cooked in the bush is 10x more tasty and memorable than a gourmet meal cooked at home. Even a simple bacon roll tastes so good from a camp fire.
    Great videos, keep them flowing!

I do not think I could survive too long in the cold as I am such a cold frog. We used to camp for many years and like Joe Buchanan, we are getting to old and frail for the life but I do miss it so much. I served for 20 plus years in the Army and have spent many a cold nights in the field for long periods of time. The biggest mistake many unaccustomed to cold weather make is trying to heat their shelters like it's their house. If you get the inside of your tent to 55-60 degrees then you will be quite comfortable. I met those that try to make it 80-90 degrees by burning large amounts of wood or fuel quickly. They end up sweating and working too hard to gather fuel or wood. They suffer more when going from one extreme to another. Since many army stove ran on fuel, we used a 50-50 mix of gasoline and diesel in a 5 gallon metal container. We would set the drip to a slow drip so the can would last all night and you didn't have to get out of your warm sleeping bag in the middle of the night to change the fuel can like the hot tents. Same when burning wood, limit the airflow and a moderate warm tent would last all night.

I pull out my guitar and enjoy the fire. My dog (yuka) dosen't seem to Mind.
Would have been a good test for your set up here where I live here in Alberta. It was -51 with the windchill a few days before Christmas. Burrr !!!
Needless to say I hunkered down in the cabin.
Thanks for taking us along. Will check out a few more of your videos.
    HAPPY New Year 🥳

Coffee lover. Been drinking black coffee since I was 10 years old. I do boil ginger root and add honey in it once a week. It good for you. I make up spice tea during the holidays and it’s good on cold days. Thanks for another great video. 😁

I tend to have two coffees in a morning, then switch to tea for the afternoon/evening. Similar choices to you, the herbals (lemon and ginger is nice, especially with a bit of honey), earl/ladygrey. They do look great tents and i love the stove.

Hi Jay. I just recently found your channel and it's fantastic! My wife and I are currently clearing a small spot to set up a camp for overnight winter camping and to eventually go off grid. Thanks for the great content. Cheers from Cape Breton Nova Scotia.

Thanks again Jay. I’m still learning about my tent stove which is the exact one you have in this video. I don’t know how you did not cook yourself out of that tent. My stove is with my UP-5 and that tent is a sweat house. Lol Love just to be out there. Peace.

Fantastic tents. I used one last year in Siberia. -25 ice fishing deep in the Siberian Forrest.

Old bell tents when I was in the army kept us warm but are heavy. That styrofoam crunch 😮 I’ve done more than enough Canadian winter 🥶 and deserve warm winter down south, no more slipping and falling on ice, warm rain I can handle 😊

Great video as always. I really like your intro music and it's great when you play it over the video while doing wood cutting or other tasks.

Ok Jay, I have a recipe for you.
Chopped onion in frying pan with oil until soft
Add a tin of tuna, wait until it starts to brown and get crispy.
Add a chopped red/yellow/orange bell pepper
    Keep cooking until soft
Add tablespoon of capers and serve when warm.
I normally mix this into fusilli pasta, but it is good without the pasta as well.
Spice it up by adding red chilli flakes and or cayenne pepper.
