Fantastic video. It has all the ingredients to be an effective teaching tool: feelings, simplicity, good techniques, creativity, teamwork, description of the process, the improvements applied and the results obtained, the necessary, appropriate and balanced resources.
That's KAIZEN power.
Heartwarming to see generous, kind folks helping each other. Kudos to the volunteers, to George, to Toyota.
Nothing short of inspired, all around...filmmakers, George, Toyota, everyone. Congratulations, Henry and Rel.
A GREAT example of how the #Toyota PS can be applied to anything! Absolutely LOVE this clip and the goodness #Kaizen has done for this Food Bank! #continuousimprovement Thank you for posting this!
This is pretty awesome! And I don't care if they don't donate any meals, the fact that they helped get meals to people faster is good enough in my book. Give credit where it's due.
I would watch this a million times over to make a difference if that's what it takes. I like the feeling that I'm doing something for someone just for watching a video. It's the greatest feeling ever.
Congratulations to everybody in that group of volunteers. You are all amazing.
In my company (Japanese shipyard), all the employees have to submit 1 kaizen/month.
However, there is a new about 100 million yen cost reduction effect by kaizen every year.
Très COOL
On travaille actuellement avec Moisson Montréal.... on va y arriver ensemble!!!
Well done all!! Glad to share and be a small part in this grand event!!
This is the definition of Great People. People who strive to help other people in need.
We made it!!!! I am so proud working in Toyota. Thank you everyone for watching.
I did not know that 改善(kaizen) is used in America. (from Japan)
I always admire people who go out and help others and put a smile on someones face.
I am watching this for my class, and I have to say... this is extremely heartwarming.
I'm seeing a lot of self-proclaimed geniuses here thinking that using this systems approach is easy. This is delivering meals from a truck, try applying the Toyota system to health care and get back to me smarties.
Japan had universal healthcare since 1961. Top 10, doesn't spend nearly as much as the United States. Kaizen!
I here you, but the NHS here in the UK seems to have lots of small inefficiencies that seem to add up to massive costs. (It's also underfunded and Bliar saddled it with ludicrous PFI deals but that's a different story).
The Primary Care practices in my home town use audio typists (!!!!) to type letters referring patients to hospital specialists because obviously typing it into an online system is a weird ninja skill that Doctors can't possibly do.
The patient then gets a letter offering them a choice of which hospital they want to use. This would be admirable but for the fact that our town only has one hospital so all the other options are miles away! Some hospitals pay way more for the same supplies than others. Doctors prescribe drugs that are no longer considered necessary etc. I received a letter this February telling me an appointment in January had been cancelled. I'd already attended the rescheduled appointment.
A 2014 report by the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges estimated potential savings of £2 billion. Many of the changes are way more complex than the examples in this video so I'm not entirely disagreeing with you but given how the current crisis is about to overwhelm our ICU capacity it should be top of the agenda.
Wut
One small step at a time.
I'm extremely impressed and humbled at the same time how awesome this is for the Food Distribution place and Toyota for stepping in to help with their expertise... KUDOS to all!
This soooo nice! Keep up the fantastic work! It is appreciated by all of us as well as the people receiving the food and supplies. :)
This is actually a pretty cool video all around, informative and going to a good cause, good on you Toyota and those guys working hard distributing the food!
Striving step-by-step to make a process - and their communities - better. Well done all !!
I am glad to help our New York family by watching this video, Toyota, I am glad for the help your are giving our New York Family!
one of the nicest video that puts my face a smile while watching it :) also so useful about my business lesson. thanks a lot
If you disliked this video you do not belong to live in this world. This is a beautiful thing Toyota is doing, everyone can spend a little over 6 minutes to help families in need and please keep the negative comments for Facebook.
Well I'm actually glad to see that there are still people that have the heart to do this still
I was first introduced to Kaizen processes in the 1980's and have been a practioner ever since. Thanks You Toyota for bringing the application to such a worthy cause. #GoRockAway!
"The summation of many many small, simple, cheap improvements can have a very big impact". I love the lack of pretension and management-speak in that phrase.
This is a wonderful video for a wonderful cause. I loved it and I shared it with my friends. It was also nice to see Rel's cameo appearance - he is my celebrity crush. ;)
Wow, that's really cool. That's Kaizen magic
Good on these people for donating their time and effort.
You sir/mam are quite correct in your thinking. Especially since Toyota isn't really promoting any or their products. This video was explaining the production of these food boxes and what they could do to help them. Their help was greatly needed and appreciated. What they did was morally and structurally correct, without having anything to do with promoting the Toyota products and helping the people because they cared, and also possibly to get recognition for their company.
George, Lisa & Jamie are my new heroes, along with Toyota! thanks guys, we love you!!
I will watch this video 7 billion times and feed the whole world for one meal.
Thank you Toyota. You are feeding people while at the same time making me realize that if I move my computer and my refrigerator into the bathroom I will be a more efficient gamer.
This is really fantastic, I want to thank you for doing this.
God Bless You George. Your not a celebrity doing this to get likes but a "normal" person doing this out of the kindness of your heart. Shows that you do not need to be rich to contribute. We need more people like you George. God Bless U.
"Kaizen: continuous improvement." Love that!
I really appreciate all this, I just hope it isn't abused. I can't stand how people think it's okay to have nice, expensive things but can still bum others for food because they sit on their a**es all day. For the people who really NEED this stuff, God bless them, along with Toyota and all the volunteers over in New York.
I'm glad I watched this
I've owned three Toyotas and a Lexus. None of them have ever had a problem. Great cars, great company!
WHO THE HECK DISLIKED THAT !!??!!??!! How can you freaking dislike that !!? They are helping people !
This is fantastic!
This is so awesome.
6 minutes of my life well spent!
have had this on repeat at work since i found it
this made me feel good and i watched to the end
Watching this again, and again, and again...
This is really awesome.
Wow, this video is really amazing. Those who volunteered to help other people, I salute you!
this is FABULOUS! I shared & encouraged others to do the same. Thank you, Toyota!
This story is amazing! Keep it up man :)
What an amazing thing you are doing. You make me proud to be an American!
I hope this gets watched very very very often
I am happy to spend 6 minutes of my life to give a meal to someone.
Thanks for helping out the community i really appreciate the work you guys are doing keep up the good work!!!
This is amazing
wow this is awesome there should be more people in the world like this

This just makes me smile :D
this is actually a great content. I learn it all in my undergrad.
really enjoyed that:)
Love this
nice work !! hope this video reaches 1 million views :D
Thank you Toyota and Stiletto Media for working towards feeding the hungry in NYC!
Absolutely incredible!
I'm amazed by the amount of people volunteering
Have to watch the whole video to count as a view, so some people didn't watch the whole thing, but still liked it.
Awesome!! Way to go. Love when companies use their knowledge and skills to help others!!
this is why Toyota was my friend vehicle i bought, keep up the good work guys
This reminds me of operations research, a branch of probability modelling, that calculates the most efficient ways to do things depending on what your goal is. Very cool! Here's to reaching 125,000 meals :)
This inspired me ;)
Wow, I am impressed. I can see how this process could work in many situations. I am wiser because of this video.
This was great thing to watch on my time
This deserves more views than "The Anchorman 2 trailer" and im sure the cast of that movie would agree
I'd like to see this hit 1 Million and beyond.
I love you guys!! Awesome!!
I think it's GREAT how Toyota is helping out the NYC FOOD BANK!!! They did a WONDERFUL JOB sharing the organizational skills with them to help with efficiency and now to continue to "Pay It Forward" by donating another MILLION MEALS is really GREAT!!! If you need to find fault with that...well then I'm really sorry for you... You are a VERY UNHAPPY PERSON!!!
250.000 meals added to the 250,000 they have already given, that's 1/2 million meals, that is huge!! Kudos to Toyota for the kind gesture
Gotta thank the volunteers. I volunteered at food banks and food centers before, it's tough work with no pay.
this is really cool!
Taking a six sigma course and watching this video now, makes me understand all of the process way better
Awesome team work! I love their work ethics and their great attitude. When we help others, I believe that same help will be returned to us one day when we need it the most. Hope others will share this great video as well. Thanks to all who gave their time to help less fortunate families, as this was an inspirational message that offers great hope for future events of this nature. Great message and awesome team work. Love you guys for all that you do!
This was amazing
This is really fantastic.... sometimes, humans really are good.
this was awesome :)
Amazing! Keep it up guys!
Great program, Learned about it from Steve here at the LES training facility here in Jackson Michigan. The Lean process is integral for any company that wants to be a world class manufacturing facility.
Wow, where is the humanity in all of you? I applaud these efforts to bring food to people who need it! Appreciate that you're not in a major disaster, because you can quickly be on the receiving end. People who have heart make a huge difference in the world. :)
Awesome!
This is amazing
Thanks for your care and compassion to hurting people
Excellent!
Amazing!!!
