@@chcrgers10303 Ya right. Ill give you a recent bounce. Omaha Beach in the Breeders Cup mile. Race preceding it hard fought duel with Shancelot after OB returned off a long layoff. Fact not myth.
@@chcrgers10303 The other horses your talking about had more than 6 weeks off. OB had first start off layoff when he had a hard duel w Shancelot. OB second start (BC MIle)was 5 weeks after that taxing effort. Which he finished up the track. OB next start should result in a better effort (bounce back theory) Todays Racing digest have sampled thousands of races to prove this theory correct. If It can happen to a quaility race horse such as Omaha Beach surely it happens every day to horses at lower levels.

Manhattan U.S. Attorney Charges 27 Defendants In Racehorse Doping Rings
Four Indictments Allege Systematic, International Scheme Among Trainers, Vets, and Others to Cheat Using Misbranded and Adulterated Drugs
Geoffrey S. Berman, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and William F. Sweeney Jr., Assistant Director-in-Charge of the New York Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”), Dermot Shea, Commissioner of the New York City Police Department (“NYPD”), Catherine A. Hermsen, U.S. Food and Drug Administration Assistant Commissioner for Criminal Investigations (“FDA-OCI”), and Troy Miller, Director of Field Operations for U.S. Customs and Border Protection in New York (“CBP”), announced the unsealing of four indictments charging 27 individuals with offenses relating to the systematic and covert administration of illegal performance-enhancing drugs (“PEDs”) to racehorses competing across the United States and abroad. The Indictments unsealed today each allege the shipment and administration of adulterated and misbranded drugs designed to secretly and dangerously enhance the racing performance of horses beyond their natural ability, a dishonest practice that places the lives of affected animals at risk.
Of the 27 defendants, 19 - including trainers JORGE NAVARRO and JASON SERVIS - are charged in an indictment detailing four conspiracies to manufacture, distribute, and administer adulterated or misbranded drugs as set forth in United States v. Jorge Navarro, et al., 20 Cr. 160 (the “Navarro Indictment”), which has been assigned to U.S. District Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil. Of those defendants, 13 were taken into federal custody and are expected to be presented in the Southern District of New York today before U.S. Magistrate Judge Ona T. Wang. Defendant SETH FISHMAN was previously charged by complaint in United States v. Seth Fishman, 19 Mag. 10120, and arrested on October 28, 2019, in Miami, Florida, and was presented in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. The remaining defendants were arrested today outside of the Southern District of New York and adjacent districts, and will be presented today before the appropriate District Courts.

💯 correct. The brazen theft of Max's Derby crown will never change the fact that Max won the Derby.
I got very mad in front of my T.V. on KD Day. Went from elation, shouting out, "My horse won the race!" to "What?!?", the long wait, then Max disqualified from first. I got real angry, changed the channel, didn't want to hear anymore. I don't want to see a picture of CH wearing the roses, or to read CH the KD 'winner', and I strongly dislike that
ridiculous 17th place recorded as Max's finish in the race. The Kentucky Derby is always a roughly run 'WAR', rain and super-slop track aside, and like the Codex jockey said about their Preakness, "It's the Preakness. You don't say excuse me Ma'am." while running hard to win it!

He has shown how strong he is in all his races after being unjustly disqualified after Kentucky. Let's not forget his great pedigree , from his grandsire Street Cry winner in the 2002 Dubai World Cup , his aunts Zenyatta and Winx. Generations for generations reaching the Secretariat legend. My best wishes for the Saudi Cup and the Dubai World Cup in March, Maximum Security is a great champion 🏇

I often rewatch Max's races just for the 'Happy' feeling they give me. When in the stretch of his last two races, watch, he looks back a couple times from his place in front of the pack to see where the nearest horses are in relation to where he is and then, when he's satisfied he's dispensed of his competition, he faces fully forward and powers on to the finish line! It is something to watch!

You're welcome Valerie! Max also always faces straight ahead ready in the starting gate. Someone commented about his mom, Lil Indy, that she was the smartest mare at the Keeneland Breeding Stock sale last year. Watch her bidding video when she was sold to Summer Wind Farm.
She made the man holding her lead laugh because she bobbed her head up and down in perfect timing to the auctioneer's voice. It is quite funny! I believe she is a very smart mare. Also the Lanes End pre-sale video of her and Max's full little sister conveys her personality too.
She swishes her tail a lot and has a certain 'look' in her eye. Pictures of her show this too. I think 'freewheeling' Max, as he has been described, takes a lot after his Mom in personality plus he was born with everything needed to be a racing great. I like Lil Indy, glad she and Max's sister are out of South Korea. If I were naming his sister, 'Lil Sis' would make my list of possibles : )

Yee haw! A three-year old colt that didn't win a Triple Crown race or run in the Breeder's Cup will probably win the Eclipse. What a rollercoaster year for Max! Speed was golden today, but he had to withstand pressure from the second best miler in the country and still drew off. I anticipate his running in the Pegasus (the other Pegasus!) early next year. Nine f. at Gulfstream should be ideal for him.

We live in a highly sensitive, emotional world, made worse by social media. Can’t comprehend how all of us who respect horses running a straight course and not interfering with rivals...how we are somehow Max Security “haters.” Props to a great horse who has learned how to change leads and keep a straight course.
Someone will have to go wrong for this horse not to win the Saudi Cup in my opinion. He is a GREAT horse and I feel his best is yet to come.

Yes, he got a DQ because i believe what it was is that Max drifted and almost clipped heels with the horse behind which could have caused a major accident, He got a DQ and Country House was declared the real winner

the only horse of consequence in the race, besides MS, was Spun to run.......this race doesnt prove a whole lot besides the fact he can win on the lead when not pressed and everything goes to his liking.
