That face is adorable. A look of demanding expectations.
"Woman, does it look like I can eat it without your petting"
I thought the same 😝
First saw her on a short-clips mix and yes! THAT face is just perfect with its permanent grumpy look 😼 🥰
My tabby is like this. He likes for me to be nearby, if not actually petting him when he eats. Then when it's my turn he'll be perched up guarding my back, watching the door. It's adorable.
That's really cool that your cat reciprocates.
My cat wants me to sit next to her when she eats, she feels safe that way ☺️ I got her from shelter when she was 6 years old, she turns 10 in november.
Sounds like a great companion 😀
It's actually connected to thyroid and stomach issues per my veterinarian sibling, if you have not had your cat checked by a veterinarian I highly suggest it.
Same here, my tomcat refused to eat if you weren't right next to him and just left his food if you left lol.
She has a very unique look to her face. Like a cute and feisty frown.
My mum's cat is also a tabby and SUPER talkative. As soon as you get close to her she'll chat you up, it's adorable.
Getting pretty chubby, slowing down the petting might be a very solid thing to do.
Go away.
Being a round-the-clock servant for this cat is the least you can do for all the cuteness and love she gives back.
Hello Susan how are you doing today
Honestly Ginny looks like she’d claw someone’s face off for even thinking about touching her, or looking at her food. Turns out she’s just a needy sweet heart with a grumpy face. Never judge a book by its cover, as the saying goes.
That's the first thing I noticed too. Ginny looked super grumpy, but she's just a sweet older gal!
nah..that naughtiness is lain in the domain of trashily placed products...!
It's funny because my 2 cats don't like to be watched when eating and so petting wouldn't be appreciated. Ginny is the reverse of my cats
100% the town's "witch" that would welcome people with cookies and stories if they came to visit
101% judging by the states of these Comment threads, coz its magnetism appeareth mightily dynamic...!
I'm so glad Ginger was able to train you properly.
Cats are such @$$holes. FYI, not saying I hate cats, just stating the obvious.
@@christins.1481 Fr my cat once tried to rip my eyeballs off for no reason
@@IDefinitlyDontExist Poor cat. Mad cause it doesn't have you fully trained yet.
Hahaha..in the most adorable way befitting cats. On the flip side they can be annoying with their pickiness over food; they would rather starve than swallow something they don't like. Your buddy certainly has you wrapped around his little toe but don't we love it, a little annoyance notwithstanding. Love reciprocated.
@@normadom3715 My cat will look at me when I get home and say. "B!tch, I'm hungry."
She still greets me when I get home and likes to go on walks with me, meaning she's not trying to run off.
So I guess those are a bonus with her demands.
The way she looks at you is just hilarious!! Imagine how heartbreaking must’ve been for her previous owner having to give her up after so long. How amazing it would be if you could visit that person with “grumpy face “ lol
People surrender for so many different reasons. I tell former owners that they should not worry or feel shame when surrendering their dogs to our rescue org. Rescuing/homing is what we’re here for. The last intake we did was for an elderly lady.
That’s why they say: “Dogs have owners…Cats have Staff”. Ginny is just a sweetie-pie. A little like having a permanent 18 Month old, but that’s OK. She looks to be a fairly small Cat, for a Tabbie. Love her face…like she’s trying to be Grumpy Cat but is too cute to pull it off. So nice that she seeks out and appreciates all your cuddles, kisses and scritches. Hope you have many happy years together.
Looks like she might have a mild form of dwarfism honestly
Tabby cats are absolute legends.
They're pretty wild.
Tessa, I have two tabby boys on my neigborhood and they are adorable and talkactive.
my dad told me about when he had a tabby before me. orange, was kinda a alley cat. and how they met is i guess one day hambone just walked into my dad's apartment and layed on the couch. he was such a hambone for the camera, loved the spotlight, so dad named him hambone. i dont remember what happened later, but dad had to give up hambone. so sometime later when my dad was walking back home, he heard a yowling. so he stopped looked to the side, at one of the apartment windows and there he was: an old hambone. after such a long time, i think idk, mabye a few years, they meet again and they both recognised eachother, then my dad "booked it". and thats as much as i know that my dad told me about hambone, the beefy tabby
Especially sic's abd ginger tabbies are generally more forthcoming.
Yo tengo dos gatos atigrados y son infantiles, sensibles y asustadizos. El genotipo no sólo lo conforma el físico sino también el carácter que es modulado por el entorno.
My boy Lucifer is a tabby. He is so sweet, has a funny deep meow, and does all sorts of shenanigans
Ginny is spoiled rotten, but, she is adorable. 🥰

I wondered what she wanted. Thanks for the heads-up.
Ginny is adorable--keep petting her and feeding her what she likes and she will be with you a long time.
I don't think we as humans have even scratched the surface of how much animals crave our approval and want to be a big part of our lives, reading animals cues is very important thanks for sharing!!
@@kennethkeith3335 looks like someone didnt get enough approval from their parents
I agree! It's so amazing when you get to know your animal so well- and they you- that you can often understand each other. My current dog was a rescue from an animal hoarding situation, and she had no way to communicate with me, & vice versa. She seemed so AMAZED when she picked up that I was communicating something with my eyes (such as the location of her toy) that she has become fascinated by them. She will see me looking at something and then come up and smell and lick my eyelids! Just one example of how we learn from each other!
@@kennethkeith3335 Being a grump in the comment section of a cat video? Did your girlfriend just dump you?
It's a trauma/comfort thing. Bless you for being so caring :)
The look on her face is, “I’m dissatisfied”. But she’s so sweet, she just has FOMO & likes uninterrupted attention which is harder to find these days. Their sweet family is lucky to have each other. 💕
She is beyond spoiled I cannot 😂🙌🏽. Too cute!
The previous owners spoiled the cat
Aw, she wants a snack buddy! We had a three legged cat named Scooter, and he always wanted a snack buddy too. I would sit with him while he ate, and he purred so loudly.
Wow, my cat is the exact opposite. He can't stand me being around him when he eats or poops. He yells until I leave. He only likes me at night when he sleeps on my chest or legs.
😂😂🥰
My cat likes to "go" when I "go". Sorta cute. I praise her "good girl".
Must be related to my cat,she does the same thing dead on 03:00 am.
I had a cat like this! She wanted to be petted only when she ate, and she’d purr the whole time. ❤️
Mine too is exactly like this!!!
What a cutie, I love her resting angry face! Senior cats truly deserve to be spoiled.
shes a senior at 13? ... my cat literally looks like that one and mine is 19 ... that cat will be with you for years to come
I’ve had two tabbies. One lived to 18, the other one, almost 21. Hardy little buggers. They NEVER went outside unattended...
My last cat, she also lived until 23 years and played hockey with my daughter despite a cancer. We put her to sleep the day she began to suffer.
It’s true that they can live to 20+ but 13 is still considered a senior. My last cat died of natural causes at 16…you never know with cats.
My tabby boy Copper made it 18 . But it really just depends.
Senior cat age
Cats are older than 10 years old are considered senior. International Cat Care has similar guidelines, classifying senior cats as those aged 11 to 14. They also have an additional classification of "super senior" for cats 15 years and older.
Our cat is also picky the only thing he’ll eat is “lil soups” also the “temptation treats” but only certain flavors. It drives me crazy because mostly the best thing he craves is Costco’s “cooked shrimp”, and only if I feed him a small bite at a time. Don’t even think about cutting it up, NO just a pinched off bite one at a time!! Go figure!!!!!
My kitty is also stuck on Li'l Soups or crushed-up Delectables Stew treats in the pouches. I've tried all other cups and cans and pouches and thrown away a lot of food.
She also eats some left out Fancy Feast dry food as a last resort in the middle of the night, so it rounds out her nutrition.
Lil soups? Sounds very cute
@@chadsheldon8647 I thought the same! Just looked it up and discovered something new. Soup for cats!
Yeah those lil soups are great for sick cats too. Never seen a cat that didn’t love em
I have 4 cats and 1 is like this. I think its because they like our scent, because if I stick my hand in the dry food bowl and stir it, she will eat it. If I pour from the bag, she won't eat until I've stuck my hand in it lol. She won't eat treats either unless I hand feed them or hold them in my hand before putting them down little by little.
This cat is super smart! We all see cats storming into our bathrooms when we poop or take a shower, they want to stand guard and protect us from threats during our most vulnerable acts, like they do in the wild. This cat, wants protection when she's eating, another time we all are vulnerable and distracted when we're eating. Love Cats! 😄😃😀
My Magic was exactly like this, a very needy and loving old girl who wanted to spend every minute with me. It's nearly a year now she's gone, and I miss her every day. Seeing a cat like her being shown so much love makes me so happy, mournful and grateful all at once
She is absolutely adorable & hilarious! You are both good fur parents. She is obviously a VERY happy & loved cat!
Anyone who takes in a senior animal is a very special soul. Bless these really really kind people for taking her in 💖🤗
Lovely to hear you saying;
"I can't imagine life without her".
Thank you for indulging her with lots of love and kindness 💚
I can see Ginny wanting all that attention. She lost the person she loves, and is afraid of losing her new people. Ginny is so cute and spunky. Love her.
Is her name “Princess”? Love her! We have a rescue senior dog who is IN LOVE with my husband. It’s such a special relationship.
Such well trained owners 🤭
Hello Emmie how are you doing today.
3:23 "I can't imagine life without her"- I lost my beloved one 3 weeks ago, and still hurts. I know what this mean 😞
"She made our house a Home". That should be the Motto for everyone who takes any Animal in, you aren't just housing another life, you are making a Home, for them & yourself.
I had 3 different cats who each lived to be 16. Not a day passes that they are not still loved and their funny little old folks quirks aren't missed! Most beloved friends of my life.
Ginny is precious & you are wonderful parents!! Wishing Ginny🍀 more happy healthy years together with you!!
From my Dobby 🐈🐾and me.🤗💖🐾🌈🇨🇦☮️
oh my god my cat was like this too! i only noticed this in the last year or so, after his brother passed and i lavished even more attention on him. he still ate even if i didn't pet him, and of course he ate before, but he was much more focused when i was petting him, or at least sitting by him. and once i started the habit, he would notice when i wasn't attending to him while he ate and kind of sit to the side of his bowl. he was also a really picky eater - once he decided a kibble or canned food was not for him, he wouldn't be lured back to it. it's funny too, once i paid him even more attention he knew to demand even more. like, mornings were our special time, and if i wasn't giving him attention he would walk past me a few times, and then start scratching the armchair. not enough to tear the fabric, just enough that i would hear the scratching sound, like to make a point. he never did that before! it was hilarious. cats are so funny, and senior cats especially know what they want.
Humans are so difficult to train. This cat has done well taking a new one on so late in life. :P
"If I stop petting she stops eating."
*looks at stomach*
Yes, I can see you pet her a lot.
"She made our house a home"... That's the magic of cats... 🏡♥️ ! ! !

Omg her face is really cute and unique, those chubby cheeks I just love them even more , she is a senior cat yes she is and she is lucky to end up being your little Child, many more blessings for your family I pray ❤️
I've fostered and had (still have) many cats throughout the last 30 years. But for me it's always the tabbies, that are super special and particular and I wouldn't have them any other way 💕💕
My cat love being pet while eating 😺 when he is hungry, he will come to me and meow at me. And make sure I follow him to his bowl 😆
Ditto for me with my stripey boy. Won't eat unless I sit next to him and point to the wet or dry food. I desperately need a holiday but can't have one because he's a velcro cat. Mental note: introduce him to a nice cat sitter.
She like my cat 😂
Meowing me everyday to keep near her to look she eating
Thank you for understanding her needs and/or kirks! There is definitely a reason why she acts like that. We may not understand, but thankfully, you do because you love her. so much!!
Hello Susan how are you doing today.
She wants you to watch her back while she eats, it's their natural instinct to be alert of the predators.
This is my theory based on assumptions
I think that cat has separation anxiety
Because being 8 years with the original owner, like an old person hardly being able to adapt to new environment so the cat
While the cat loves the new owner, maybe it has before this behavior or after it was separated from the original owner
@UCn8qN9b4qzuaxCAKE3mh41w Not top of the foodchain predators.
@@Counterbalance_ I have raised 4 cats and volunteer worked at shelter for two decades. Cats are afraid of big birds, dogs and coyotes. They are very much a prey to bigger animal and birds. Cats aren't solitary animals, they are solitary hunters. Most cats live in a colony and female cats help raise each other's kittens. Most of the time littermates stick together. Many people have experienced their cat displaying same behavior as this cat in the video. Most house cats also paw at the floor in an attempt to hide their bowl of food because it's their instinct to hide food and eat later in the wild.
The reason why some cats sleep with one eye open even in the safety of home is because they are always hyper alert of their surroundings. The reason they bury their poop and pee in the dirt/sand is to hide their scent from the predators. A two month old kitten starts hiding their poop because they are born with that survival instinct.
@@MrSpiderspider12 You're also correct, cats who display such behavior are called 'affectionate eaters'. This behavior may also stem from feeling of insecurity in new home environment and loss of previous home/humans. Having their human pet them while eating makes them happy and secure.
@@Counterbalance_ Cats are both predators *and* prey.
The close up of Ginny's face is sooo precious! What a good life for this sweet cat!🤍
I thought it was just some strange thing my cat did but after looking it up I realized why. It's a sign of affection they want from the person they love and it comforts them.

Such a sweet natured cat, my Sweet Fannie Adams just turned 15, I've had her from when she was 15 months old (I wish I'd had her earlier) and has her idiosyncrasies, which can be hilarious. Senior cats are worth having as they're calmer and weirder, sometimes set in their ways, but truly love a good snuggle, they're experts!
My dog likes this too! I think it makes him feel safe from behind and helps him with food anxiety.
Everyone in the comments loves this cat… which is is easy to do when you’re just watching a 3 min video, bit 98% of us wouldn’t last a day with the cat with its constant needs. Glad she found the right owners!
