Roman's spins should be scored higher I reckon, phenomenal spinner. He and Jason are the best spinners in mens in my opinion. Love the spin of Shoma's that's in this video too, it's always been one of my favourites. And also, I think Keegan's spins are super underrated in general. He has so much speed and his flying spins are always huge.

In case you want to compare, you can playback video at 0.5 normal speed, but a professional video can do better to let us appreciate the spinner on another level. You can also capture the skater moving into the spin, and from one position into another.
Our visual abilities is not that great, and could be deceiving, working at high speed.
Hanyu in the simplest (low BV) spin at 0:11 is the true martial artist that becomes a ballerina in the music box. Gorgeous!

I still think that Nathan's spins are terrible when you compare them to everyone else at his level. They all have some wandering foot, but he's the only one who never has tight spins and his foot travels all over. Like Shoma's and Mikhail's were so tight, and Jason's were gorgeous, but Nathan isn't even centered when he spins, he just wanders left and right.

Other than Nathan, it was a lovely list. It would be fun to see a compilation not limited to this year. I remember some great spins from Adam Rippon as well. It's really interesting that with today's skaters there are quite a few men who have better positions and line in their spins than the ladies. That almost never used to be the case.

American and Russian nationals should not serve as the competitions for comparing 😁... It is clearly visible here how the scores are inflated... However Jason and Kolyada are very elegant scaters with beautiful spins and deserves to be here among the top ten 😉...
Bias and inflation exists with every country's Nationals. For you to be suggesting it only happens with the Americans and Russia is ignorance.

Take the piruets as an example - they need to have the certain amount of rounds, should be in axes, should have enough speed throughout of the whole piruet, the lower you put your body weight the more difficult the piruet becomes... But the american and russian judges seems like being blind when it comes to their own athletes... they tend to put the same points to the high, not so difficult piruet which Is out of the axes comparing with the perfect piruet from other athletes...

Yuzuru, 2. Jason, 3. Nathan and Keegan (the same GOE), 4. Jason, 5. Jason, 6. Nathan and Shoma, 7. Yuzuru, 8. Keegan, 9. Nathan and Junhwan, 10. Keegan. No Roman (one spot for Canada unfortunately), no Misha (not so great spins unfortunately).

In the nineties, one of the best men's figure skater spinners was US Scott Davis. His powerful spins were faster than these, but unf he didn't do as well as hoped for at the Olympics. The mental game is always part of the equation. ❤️ ⛸️
