It does work great you have to take it back off when you take it to the shop just so they can't say you void the warranty thanks for the support and comment
I just took the hood open sensor and just wired them together, the ran another wire to inside under the dash to a switch. Flip the switch computer says hood is open, flip switch again, hood is now closed. Costed 5 bucks
Great job if that's what you want to do this works for me when I take the car in for work on it I take this back off because it's still under warranty TC
Perhaps this is a stupid question. But the Cadillac xt5 also has a feature where if you are cruising around town, it will shut off 2 cylinders to save gas. If you get this module to disable auto stop and start, does it disable the other gas saving feature as well? Are they even related?

I ended up ordering the one from Range technology, it just plugs into the obd, I was going to use this product but I was unable to get my answer from the company about the remote start until I'd already ordered. Also on my vehicle it's not as easy to get to under the hood. Either way thanks for the post and if I'm not satisfied with the range I'll send it back and buy this 1.. in 2 years I've only put 8000 miles on that car due to the enjoying start stop..

This does not disable shut off 2 cylinders but I don't think that does that in town it works out on the road TC

Not good it will only work 20 min after you shut off the car but I don't use the remote
