Premier League chief executive Richard Masters says a date has been set for Manchester City's hearing over 115 alleged breaches of the league's financial rules, but would not reveal when.
According to the Premier League, Man City, who were charged in February 2023, allegedly broke the rules over nine seasons between 2009 and 2018, during which time they won the league title three times.
Everton and Nottingham Forest were charged with breaching Premier League Profitability and Sustainability Rules earlier this week - and Everton were deducted 10 points in November for the same offence.

How can Everton get charged twice before City

if they confront city they will join the saudis in a new world superleague so the premier league are running scared if the big seven decide to go
Because City can fight them financially and know its bollocks and breaches competition laws. The premier league will look the corrupt organisation they are.
Pure Corruption they tuned the League into Las Vegas with Mo Green from Godfather 2 running it.
For them to not release the date to the public says a lot about the corruption that’s rife in the sport! 😮😢
They probably don’t want to do so in case it gets moved back, like it probably has repeatedly over the last couple years. I agree it seems suspect on the outside but I dont want the Premier league to do anything that strays from their own protocol however frustrating it may be, because that only opens them up to be even more vulnerable to the undoubtedly strong legal team of Man City

If they are under investigation for breaching finances, why there is no transfer embargo?
Now retired, I have a business degree and spent over 40 years in senior positions in the international corporate world and financial services industry. In my view this FFP (Farcical Football Poppycock) is utter nonsense!!
Without going into technical details, investment decisions in any business are far more complicated than these ridiculous ‘ham- fisted’ kindergarten level rules being imposed by the Premier League. OK - we all get emotional about football, so let’s look at a broader perspective. In a free market economy, I cannot believe that an industry cartel could enact artificial regulations to protect their own dominant positions in that specific industry, at the expense of new entrants (or “noisy neighbours”) to that industry!! I also cannot believe that if this issue ever went to court, that these ridiculous rules would be upheld in a court of law. The precedent this would set and the potential disruption this would cause to the economy as a whole beggars belief!!
If they persist with this absolute nonsense, I foresee constant litigation by all affected clubs and a general chaos in the administration of trophies and relegation places. Remember the legal process could spread over several seasons!!
City being treated differently and they wont even tell us when. Not exactly clear and open is it!
@@FunkyMonk6 It's soort of obvious they will be treated differently. It's an historic case of rule breaking, dating back to before the new rules cameinton force, and cover a massive time gap, where Everton and Forest and being measured under the new PSR rules, covering the last reporting period.
@@FunkyMonk6 Yeah...that's what I was explaining. These PSR sanctions are the result of a standard audit of all clubs by the EPL.
City are being investigated for years of systemic rule breaches across numerous reporting periods, along with failures to provide the appropriate documents when asked for them, and have fought the process at every turn while arguing "This isn't fair, we've done everythihng we can to help the process"
The PSR sanctions are handed out by EPL adjudicators, and the City mess is being delved into by an external panel of lawyers who are having to deal with over a hundred individual cases of alleged breaches of the rules. The main reason the City cases haven't come up yet is largely down to the appeals they keep filing and I'm sure when they are found guilty, they will have years of appeals lined up to delay the outcome even further.
Eventually they will probably find an adjudicator whose kid needs a rare and expensive medical treatment or operation... at which point they'll be fine and it will all go away.

What they may be doing is charging those who breach so when it comes to Man City, when they (should be) charge for so many more offences they cannot complain about the severity to come. If that happens then fair enough. If the difference in proportion of penalty is not significant , then the FA will have a big issue on their hands. Man City should be even more nervous following these charges against smaller teams who have breached very little in comparison - you very much could be looking at titles stripped and/or relegation. Why cant people understand that Everton immediately admitted their guilt, plead guilty and worked with the FA expecting a slap on the wrist, they then got rightfully punished, absolutely nothing to do with Man City have more charges lingering, btw charges that arent actually proven yet and city havent faced any punishment because they are innocent until proven other wise. any team who breaks FFP deserves punishment, Everton would of went down if the players they signed when they couldnt afford to didnt score or assist simple as
They were already charged by UEFA lost that got a ban, then went to a different court. Got it over turned and paid a fine instead 😂! It’s not looking good my friend 😂
@@scoobersteve307 it isnt looking good, but everton fans need to stop using other clubs as an excuse to not be punished for committing the same act. Its like a level 5 thief grassing on a level 10 thief, both are in the wrong
I wonder how many charges they will get
I just reckon that your point deduction needs to happen at the start of the season before the opening round. So teams know what they are up against. Not during the season. And yes it is messy.
We all know Man City will not face any punishment. Money will talk.
paid a small fine is nothing to them, they will walk away scot free😂😂
Nope city will get big punishments
I love how Liverpool should have had another title. Massive VAR decision guess what game it was ? Everton v city. The handball was blatantly shocking. That for me said it all. 😮
Date for £2 million fine incoming.
Crooks..it's getting more and more evident and obvious.
This is different to Fifa's FFP, in that with the Premier League there is no date by which any these offences become null and void, which was the case with Fifa which was why Manchester City were able to get off those charges.
It’s UEFA nugget
Reading the document, I would assume they wouldn’t have been found guilty for the few charges that were time barred. Considering their whole case was found to be based on insufficient evidence. Even the leaked emails were judged to be not enough.
Cos there is its the law of the land
If found guilty, any points deduction in 1 season is not enough.
It should be relegated to League 2 + 20 pts deduction per year for every year they broke FFP.
"its a solemn duty, nobody likes enforcing these rules.." yeah, not when it comes to Man City they dont do they Ric's 1 + 2?!?!
If they will be truthful its gonna be a deduction to -25 points 💀😭
