@@2402Stevo nope, that mean you got the position wrong, you know you get it right when he is not facing you ( like in the video here ) when he does the 2nd attack and then the attack will just miss you. I got it to work multiple times with med roll now.
So let's me break it down for you to easy understand what i mean. The 2nd hit of the combo will ALWAYS roll catch you. ( med or light roll doesnt matter ). Med roll vs Light roll difference is the roll distance, is the same, roll speed is the same. So in order to complete dodge it, the 2nd hit MUST miss you by itself, or in other word, the 2nd hit will need to swing pass you WHILE you are in rolling animation. ( So rolling distance is irrelevant).
I like watching no hit fights cause then it gives me the belief that I too am able to dodge everything. So far, that confidence has helped me against every difficult boss I’ve faced. I watch no hit videos of Malenia, and I beat Malenia in under 30 tries. I know that all bosses are made to be beatable, but sometimes having the knowledge of that fact is super helpful. It also helps me use some strategies to use on my own so haha. Great video.
best fight I've seen so far on youtube, very glad that there's a way to dodge all of his trash moves. Overall I do enjoy the fight and I don't think it's that bad, both casually and for no hit, but I wish they fixed some of those attacks

I was quite sure that some of his attacks should be blocked instead of dodged and that some attacks are literally undodgeable. Thanks for this. I barely won this fight after 4+ hours i think but with mimic. On 13 scadutree tho :D
And people call this weapon weak, considering your stats they could be stronger, but 1-2k damage alone is really good especially considering how fast the weapons are.
It stacks multi hit talismans really fast but the animations for r1 take a bit too long ! First r1 is fine and the pierce damage is also nice. Radahn is weak to pierce as are many other bosses
very nice and great patience on the positioning. i get too focused on wanting to extend punish phases and end up getting caught by the frame trap or another attack. have you ever gotten the phase 2 meteors attack while not close to him? i know it's an rng thing but ive gotten it a few times and i don't think its dodgeable from what i saw. you could try staying close but one time it happened directly after the nuke so there was nothing i could do. just another thing that makes this boss feel inconsistent i guess.
@@sobo089 yes, it almost always only happens up close. but ive gotten that attack from far range before and it seems impossible to dodge as you can't get far enough away to outrun the clones. maybe could dodge them but the dodge is inconsistent without the crucible feather

@@sobo089 thank you, I’ve been trying to find another way besides parrying or using that talisman that gives I-frames on back steps because I’m trying to go for no hit but this is the attack that gets me every single time.

@@sobo089 it works while you're also on his left side, once you avoid the first swipe, the second swipe is fixed so sticking to either side is the best approach I found. glad to see I had the same train of thought as you, now I just need to master the second phase.
How long did it take to kill him no dmg? I just killed mine yesterday with a full on strength hyper armor build and face traded the shit out of him with 3k hp. Completly won the dik showdown 😎
I would like to see your stats and Build, maybe you could show it in future videos for a little second or two, so that we can pause it with a time stamp? :) would be nice. Especially because you play so many different builds with weapons, i am sure many ppl would be interested in it :)!

@@LeJulles it mostly depends on the scaling of the weapon of choice because for example most collosal weapon will scale very well with strength and occasionally they'll have some scaling in int/faith/arcane while some quick weapons such as daggers/curved swords/katanas and alike have mostly dex scaling and then there are weapons in between such as straight swords/greatswords/light greatswords/curved greatsword/great katanas where most of the weapons in those "families" scale the best in a quality build

You were always ready for that 3 swing bs combo lol. The fact that you have to play around that attack by positioning to his right leg is so bs imo, it has to be an oversight there’s no way they made such a boring looking attack this overturned. He also has 120 poise and starts regenerating it in 6 seconds which is as fast as Malania, which is dumb because he can just reset his poise for free by flying into the air. His poise has to be the worst thing about this fight imo, completely removes the entire point of colossal because of the bs regeneration and not being able to reset poise mid attack because colossals are too slow, you have to be frame perfect for straight swords/katanas to attack mid combo so there’s no chance for colossal weapons.

i used no backstep talisman in this fight. i always stick to his right side and prioritize positioning before punishing.
