Wapol is the gluttonous spoiled Monarch that cares little for anything that's not indulging in the luxury of nobility. His homeland is a frozen kingdom that should not produce a lot of food. So maybe he desired to be able to eat anything as he pleases as his station demanded.
Yamato idolized Kozuki Oden’s life. The man died fighting to protect the land of Wano. Much how a Guardian Deity does.
Van der Decken is a a conniving sniveling greedy Fishmen that is too much of a coward to confront anyone directly. But he's also stubborn and won't drop a point once he sets his sights on it. So, he desired the power to backstab those that wronged him from a safe distance. Assuring that his goals are met, eventually.

Since Shanks heard Luffy's dream, he knew the Nika fruit would match him best, so he let him have it.
And the more pressing question is ... what about the people that had no devil fruits?
Do they lack the dream? Is the reason they view their desire as ambition rather than a dream, that they are denied the fruits.
If you think about it, everyone too serious in the story does not have a devil fruit ... and anyone having one has that peculiar childish/devilish trait about them when they want something.
Even Saturn may look similar, but he seems to dream about power and fear because he is a science/weapon god.
Garp is a realist, he just wants things done. As long as there is no blood spilled ... He calls it peace.
Shanks is the type that tries to help others achieve their dreams. Zoro, Rayleigh ...
Roger I believe is a special case ... someone probably already had Nika's fruit and he refused to kill them.
Afterwards when Shanks sensed the fruit, he got it just like Luffy was trying to get Ace's fruit. Luffy didn't want just anyone to eat a fruit like that.

I think Luffy going to Amazon Lily is simpler than his mom being an empress. Everyone there fights with Haki, Luffy is good at making friends and learning from enemies, he knew Luffy's haki would bloom. I think that's simple.

@@ragingfilthycasuali was going to respond with the jacket-jacket fruit but the user likes becoming a jacket for his brother if i remember correctly. Obviously the artificial devil fruits are the outlier since it's man-made. The soul is already experimented with, versus the natural devil fruits the souls still within them and can become your desires.

Maybe Kuma sent Luffy to Amazon Lily because it’s a place he thought would allow Luffy to eventually meet up with Rayleigh again? He clearly sent most of these strawhats on training missions, and Rayleigh is not only the best haki teacher you could really ask for, but he also clearly has a good relationship with the crew since he's out there defending them from Kizaru while this is all going down. But since Rayleigh was on Sabaody at the time, it’s not like Kuma could send him straight to him--but hey, Rayleigh seems to have a pretty close connection with Amazon Lily and he clearly visits the place a lot, so Luffy would be bound to run into him there before too long.
It's not a very exciting interpretation because it doesn't further any agendas or lead to any sort of reveal, but I think that it does make sense in a simple and clean sort of way, without having to make any big assumptions. To me, it seems like One Piece is moving at a faster and faster pace towards its conclusion, and these small gaps that may have gotten full explanations in the past are being left out now in favor of keeping the pace up- many people seem to expect that everything will get an explanation eventually, but I think there will be hundreds of small things just like this that are never addressed, at least within the text of the story.

I love how oda is slowly building up tequila wolf by adding it to TWO of the most important flashbacks in the series. Kuma is a smart man so I’m wondering if we are going to get an explanation on why he sent ROBIN to tequila wolf when tho knowing the risk of her being there. Why did he go there? Is it just along the way of the two islands he pass through because one of them was vegapunks old island & the other is an unnamed located and it seems like he was protect the citizens there.

I've been bought in since Tequila Wolf was first introduced. I love the concept of it. I saw someone say that Tequila Wolf is the perfect spot for Dragon and the Revolutionary Army to siphon recruits. I hope there's more to it but I think Kuma knew that Robin could encounter contracts with Dragon there.
Don't invest too much, it could be a nothing burger :) Maybe it was just the whim of a Celestial Dragon centuries ago (for instance)

Luffy was most likely sent to Amazon Lily because Kuma knew that Raleigh had strong ties to the kingdom. Also, Kuma knew Luffy needed to learn Haki and literally everyone at Amazon Lily knew how to use it (imbuing their arrows with it, Boa has Conquerors Haki)

The will of the fruits really reminds me of the one ring in Lord of the Rings. I don't remember how it was in the books, but the movies straight up said, that the rings left Isuldur on his own.

When it wants to be found it can grow larger to fall off the finger or get heavier. Which is why the ring was worn by Frodo as a necklace

So yeah it can change size and kind of “call out” to be found and I guess influence people into events where it’ll get picked up & carried off somewhere else. If Frodo hadn’t kept it around his neck it definitely would’ve just done something like that to piss off to someone else and get closer to getting back to Sauron

What I learned of this video is that Amazon Lily had two Warlords. Crocodile and Hancock.
At first I was dismissing the idea but now 2 of the CZcamsrs I follow are predicting that Bonney's fruit was manifested by desire. Sawyer7Mage also said that Bonney's fruit was created from desire but from Kuma's desire to see Bonney grow up. He also says that maybe the ability to manifest devil fruits from desire is special to the Buccaneer people.
Do you think characters like Jango or Miss Goldenweek got their powers the same way as Bonney could have? Jango wanting to be an hypnotist and Goldenweek wanting to improve her artist skills

I can't say for sure who Saturn is talking to, but it would definitely be someone he's sending as a proxy. Present day Saturn said he couldn't remember the last time he'd been to the surface world, which to our knowledge should be Ohara, and that speaks volumes to how little he thinks of humans that he would forget his visit to the last moments of a whole island. That being said, it means that Saturn is sending someone to give the order that will compromise Kuma. I'm betting that it's gonna be a huge reveal whoever it is that he sends. Part of me wanted to say Shanks or his possible brother in the God's Knights, but unless it's a direct order from Saturn, it doesn't seem like they deal in "lower realm" affairs, so to speak. The suspense is killing me 😫

Then, there were the Computer Games of her traveling the world. On a side night, we're about to get Dark Fate Kuma. Dark Fate is my Favorite Terminator Film. To me, T2: Judgment Day is overrated by many Fans, and the Original Terminator is Best of the Original Trilogy.
The desire thing might only be applicable to Celestial Dragons. They get whatever they want, right? That may be why they don't care about Devil Fruits, since they can already get a power they truly desire. And they hand out DF to their slaves for fun. A dead CD might always pop out their power as a DF.

I feel like it makes more sense for ginny to have been force fed the fruit and it transferred into bonney; then it was dormant until bonney had a strong enough desire to be older and change her age. If the fruit just randomly jumped into her body because she desired to be old, i feel like it would happen to more people. For example the fish man; one of the strongest desires in the story is that the fishmen want to go to the surface and see the sun. Some fishmen should have flying devil fruits to get to the sun, or heat devil fruits related to the sun jumping into their body. Or slaves and prisoners wishing and desiring to be free, a devil fruit should go into them too if it was that.

I think it is an interesting theory, but I believe the Devilfruit simply got lost/ buried in her food at some point. Somebody simply recognize that it was a devilfruit, or that it reincarnated into a fruit within the pile she was about to eat.
I have a hard time believing the fruit went straight to Bonney, since it is a paramecia fruit, only Zoans are stated to have a mind of their own. I believe Bonney eating her fruit was always going to be a detail that is glazed over/ not overtly important. I think the only reason we got the name of the fruit in this chapter is because Oda needed to squeeze it in somewhere, like he said he was going to do in the SBS.

I talked about Chopper being "chosen" as well in my latest video Randy , this makes total sense to me. The pieces start to fall together. Fantastic video this one nakama, Egghead gets more and more interesting with every chapter. In love with the lore drops. When you mentioned how the DF can choose its user, i also have a theory where the Love Love Fruit actually choose Hancock, and manipulated the Celestial Dragons to have it be in Hancock's hands.

Bonney joining the RA makes no sense to me. The natural trajectory is nakama. The Straw Hats are Kuma's hope. They represent his legacy and Bonney will not abandon them so easily.
This kind of story arc is only reserved for nakama. I mean, this one flashback basically puts everything else to shame. If Oda sticks the landing, it will be one of the most powerful conclusions to an arc in One Piece, and Bonney is perfectly poised to join the crew.
She was totally fangirling the Straw Hats all morning after she stopped crying. That's why Luffy was weirded out.
Bonney even fills an important role on the team, being the one person who can potentially negate the negative effects of model Nika fruit and the enhanced rumble ball. She can also disguise the entire crew in a hilarious fashion, and potentially buff them with her timeline altering ability. Her being on the crew just gives Oda so many opportunities to draw the strawhats as old or young or from other timelines.
The Vivi agenda is blinding you lol.
My thoughts & opinions of the chapter:
1. I might be wrong but wouldn't the facts about how Kuma became a King & his nickname be similar to how Buggy & Momonosuke went from figureheads to real leaders?
2. As much as I would like the very next chapter to have Dragon come to Egghead or at least more clues about it, I do wonder if that would really support his goal to topple the World Government. After all, the reason he didn't save some of his officers until now was because it would endanger everything he & his army were trying to accomplish. So how do we know that this scenario won't be an exception?
3. If Kuma had visited the places he sent the SH to, then that means he did go to Amazon Lily by some means and probably met Hancock at that time! If so, then perhaps we may be 1 step closer into learning what really inspired Kuma to send Dragon's son there!
4. When reading the part about how Vegapunk's tech may cure Bonney (which it did), I now want to know if it could erase Hancock's mark, thus convincing her to pardon the scientist for what the Seraphim did to Amazon Lily, and keeping her secret safe forever!

I don't know how much i like the idea that the former kuja empress is luffy's mom. since she died from love sickness it had to be after falling in love with dragon and after luffy was born. only way i can see that being plausible is if dragon straight up broke her heart by leaving her behind and taking her child from her...
The thing with chopper comparison I don't get is that Luffy never knew it was the Nika fruit.

Spend 5 or 10 mins thinking about it, the pirate ship that had the fruit also had the map to Captains John treasure map... except they had already been to get it OR were on their way to bury it.
Shanks is the one who gets the fruit to buggy and will end up being the reason why Buggy has Captain Johns treasure (his dream) all along, just as a best friend would want, he even stopped Buggy from selling it.
