I’m lucky I grew up in place like Wisconsin with so much nature and life around me, I had 2 amazing parents who always encouraged me to be creative, and I’m lucky that I’ve always known I wanted to do music. Now I can look back and be proud I made it here but also proud of all the ways growing up in Wisconsin shaped me.

Forget the covers. This is what this woman should be singing. Her own songs with heart in them. The song, lyrics and music, match her voice perfectly. Like many others I'm sure, I found out about her on AGT recently. I definitely want to hear more of this from her. It reaches deeper than just the ears.

My dad and his family were born in Wisconsin.
He left when he was 21 i believe, and he's 62 now. We still go up to visit every summer and Christmas.
Always gotta visit the church, the pier+lighthouse, drive by the old house, the bluff, the neighbors and family that are still there, walk down the main street, the schools. ya know.
And i'd listen to the stories i've heard a million times~
