Bonnie and Clyde are serial killers they killed more the 3 people and if the killed more the 3 they are serial killers
bonnie and clyde were not serial killers. they were outlaws. serial killers were not ruled out as a thing back then. outlaws robbed and killed.
Calm down they were not
They are NOT serial killers. killing three people is only ONE aspect of being classified as a serial killer. First off, here is a definition of a serial killer: "a person who commits a series of murders, often with no apparent motive and typically following a characteristic, predictable behavior pattern."
Second, all of their victims were killed as a result as a shootout, sometimes in the act of committing a crime and other times while trying to escape the police; in other words there was always a motive of which serial killers have none.
The third and most important reason why your reasoning is wrong is because you have people like Richard Speck who are classified as spree killers who have killed more than three people. If you actually look up the definition you would see that killing three people is only ONE aspect of being a serial killer and that's not what Bonnie and Clyde were.
@@kenyattaclay7666 but you're wrong, they were serial killers. May they rot in hell. Just because your on the run, doesn't mean you can kill a bunch of a people and not be considered serial killer. They don't get a pass for that.
@@dianev1021 Learn what the hell serial are, they don’t even come close to the damn definition. The very first aspect of a serial killer is that they hunt to kill. Bonnie and Clyde didn’t go hunting to kill. Just because you kill 3 or more people doesn’t make you a serial killer. It’s not that damn hard to understand.
I'll never forget.. In the summer of 2013 I stopped here in route to NC. I pulled in to the museum and went in. There was an old white haired gentleman behind a desk. He asked could he help me, then I told him how I was fascinated by the story of Bonnie and Clyde and wanted to see the ambush site. We struck up a conversation, and before I knew this man begin to give me a personal tour of the museum at no charge. We were the only ones there. He begin to tell me additional stories and facts about the ambush that were never printed. He had to have known, because his name was Boots Hinton, and father was Ted Hinton, one of the officers involved in the ambush. By this time I was all ears. I was there maybe 40 mins or so, then he lit another cigarette(he was a heavy smoker) and told me how to get to the ambush site. I remember him saying that where the site is now known to the public, that the actual site was a few yards to the left, but was cleared by a land owner for some reason, so the memorials were moved to where they are now. I feel priveledged to have had the encounter with this kind gentleman that day, especially because of who he was, and him showing and telling me alot that day.
I was sad to learn on the news that he had passed away sometime after that. What a good day that was!
Damn
Clyde wrote to Ford praising the model A as a great getaway car !!!🤣🚘🚔
He even wrote Ford himself
The letter has been debunked, and it has actually been found out to be written by someone else. Still pretty funny though
Yes, it was the Ford V8 that he stole from Mr. Henry Ford himself right after Mr. Henry Ford displayed that car to the Press to see from the Ford Rouge plant of Dearborn Michigan. Mr. Henry Ford handed the keys over to Clyde, and informed him to Drive the car around the back of the Ford Rouge Plant. He drove the car around the back, and out the gates be went. So, in reality "he stole Henry Ford's car." After, Henry Ford found out what happened to his car, he signed off the car to the person who purchased the car. The proceeds of the car went towards the innocent people who lost there lives in the hands of the evil people Bonnie and Clyde.
Their car wasn't a model A ,which '31 was the last year, It was a '34 Deluxe sedan. The flat head V8 was introduced in '32
PATRICIA Y Montagne Lazarecky he did not steal the car from Henry Ford
I love how appreciative you are of the museums, and that you try hard to recognize the hard work people put into them. You make it a point to find “the interesting” in everything, and share it with your viewers. It would be so easy for people to shrug-off these smaller museums, or even say unkind things about the parts that aren’t perfect, but you are respectful and bring joy to every part of the experience and that is what makes me love your videos.
My wife's grandfather worked with Clide for a few years before that all started.

There's a movie on Netflix called, "Highwaymen" that's about the two main guys who ambushed Bonnie and Clyde and killed them. It stars Woody Harrelson and Kevin Costner. I thought it was pretty good.
Yes! I watched it recently and it's a great movie.
I also saw that as well, and thought it was good because it didn't romanticize the duo, it felt like what it must have been really like to track them down at the time. Good solid roles for the two aging stars.
2013 version is better

Not ruff my hometown just very country town in Louisiana people are very friendly and nice
Why would they remodel it ? 🙄
Negative 13 no, leave it just as. Feels classic. If this was taken over and updated to fit the times, you’ll prolly be behind A rope super far from the items like a lot of museums these days. Can’t get up close and really intimate with history. Just saying :3
Thank you, Carpetbagger, for "getting it" about what they were really like. They preyed on their fellow poor and killed or wounded everyone who got in their way. Nothing romantic about it. Nothing romantic about leaving families fatherless, that's for damn sure.
I still get comments everyday on this video justifying their actions and their many many murders
Hi Jacob, watching you in my hospital bed, about to be a mom in a few hours! Happy to have something to keep my mind off of other things!!! Thanks for the content!

1:44 She didn't smoke cigars, the pic was a joke between them. She said she hated it.
I've heard opposing stories. After the Joplin shootout, they got lost so they kidnapped a guy named Joe Gunn just outside Reeds Springs Mo. to show them how to get back to Arkansas. They got into a bad gunfight only a couple of miles later and two more getting to Arkansas where they let Joe go. Joe said Clyde gave him two hundred dollars to get back home with and he said Bonnie gave him a box of her cigars. Joe Gunn was kidnapped standing in front of my grandparent's house. My grandparents knew him well. My mother went to school with his daughter.
TheOldbsa wow, so your grandparents have a historical house I guess.

Who knew that Bonnie and Clyde looked like department store mannequins? Now I'll see psychopaths everywhere whenever I go to Dillard's.
Yeah, I can never go into a clothing department again!!

Bonnie was no psychopath, you blithering twatwaffle. She may have fallen for the wrong person, but she never killed anyone and everyone who knew her remarked on how kind she was. I love how people will spout bullshit about things they clearly know nothing about.
Lol, that was good. Thanks for the laugh. ^^
@@englishatheart True! Bonnie never actually pulled the trigger, but she was there for all the exploits, she drove the getaway car, that makes her just as guilty as Clyde!! You care to argue the merits of the law on guilt by association? She was there, she knew what was going to happen, she drove the getaway car on several occasions, that makes her guilty of murder as well! Even his mother & sister spent a little time in jail for not reporting to the authorities when they were in the area! You can't deny Bonnie was just as guilty, even though she didn't pull the trigger & kill any people! There's plenty of pictures of her holding the guns though, she was well aware of what was going to happen, she went along with everything!

@@bonniehowell4259 lmao😂
The story of Bonnie and Clyde is fascinating and it is interesting how they have been romanticized. I have a hard time buying that as it was really just a matter of convenience or a way out for Bonnie. She had a history of choosing bad men. She was still married to her husband at the time who was in prison. She had narrowly missed going herself. Her husbands name was tattooed on her thigh and she was still wearing her bc wedding ring the whole time she was with Clyde. I think the public and the press wanted to believe in something more. Nothing romantic about living in your car always on the run.
RhettyforFun It seems like the media is always looking for something else rather then the true story huh? Even way back then.
@@americanpatriots3216 They romanticized Dillinger the same way. I'll bet he wasn't a hero to the families of the people he murdered.
I think their devotion to one another was and still is, part of the appeal. nothing terribly romantic about killing cops.
@@ronaldrime5286 not to mention what they put their own families through. just a couple of bored self obsessed kids.
I think it's time and legend that make people romanticize it- if this happened now days it would just be a couple of low life nobodies who were killed by the law- probably wouldn't have made it to the news!
I have pictures of the actual car. My dad was a security officer at Whiskey Pete's and yes it is pretty cool. The fact that it IS part of our history is pretty fascinating. Thanks for sharing this Jacob!
"This one's in the bag!"
would be cool to take a metal detector and look for bullets and casings from that day
I was thinking the samething
I'm sure it already happened
Born and raised in southeast Texas, I had heard of Bonnie & Clyde for as long as I can remember. I remember my Grandma talking about stories about them. She was a teenager at 18 years old when they were killed. They are legends where I am from.
Love your productions. I can't travel much any more because of my poor health. I used to hit all kinds of cool spots like you do. Keep on having fun my man!
I hope you’re having a good day and are able to recover and get back out there exploring soon! Your comment was from last year, how are you doing now? You probably are even more concerned now for your loved ones (sorry I don’t mean to speak for you I’m obviously guessing as I don’t know you), yourself and community due to the pandemic. In the meantime I’m glad this stuff is available to check out online, here is a toast and a word of thanks for all the work the carpetbagger does editing and traveling. He obviously enjoys it but editing can get to be monotonous. I’m glad he shares it with us.
My dad was 13 years old when they were brought into town. The police had stop some guy from cutting off Clyde's ear for a souvenir!!
Even Bonnies hair too right?
thanks so much for showing this. i am a distant relative of clyde, and have never got the chance to go to that part of louisiana to see this. and kudos for saying the last name right!
Just started watching this channel a couple hours ago and I’m loving these vids. Thanks for posting
Bonnie never drove a get a way car, her sister mentioned that Bonnie never drove a car, she walked with a limp and sometimes had to be carried.
True. Her right leg was badly maimed by what is believed to be caused by car battery-acid during a car accident
She also never killed anyone.

Another fascinating video. I like seeing about history back when it happened. Keep up the good work can't wait to see more videos of history for sure.
Love these small town USA museums and the charming DIY type of displays they have. I fondly remember visiting the Jesse James Wax Museum in Stanton Missouri while on a road trip holiday & walking around it wondering exactly where the waxworks were...... I never did find them!
Been there. Very nice older gentleman who loves to talk about what he knows about them.
It's so horrible how when they were bringing back the car with Bonnie and Clyde's dead body people were trying to rip out their hair and jewelry and clothes
Lol fuck em, probably just people taking back what B&C extorted from the townsfolk
Dude, there was only two Louisiana officers involved in the ambush. The other four were Texans and the posse was led by Texas Ranger Frank Hamer.
Great video (as usual). Finally subscribed because every one of your videos that have randomly popped up over time are great. Thanks and keep it up!
Was I the only one very confused as to why he kept calling Daffodil’s, jonquils?! I have never heard that before! I had to google it
So right I was getting annoyed why he wasn't calling them daffodils
Jonquils are a variety of daffodils. They look like the ones in front of Bonnie's grave. I'm a flower nerd.
Me too!
I was thinking same thing..I'm a gardener in colorado and I've never heard that before..glad I'm not the only one😝
Chris Soup ya can’t smoke daffodils
When I was a pre-teen our parents took us to our annual Red River Exhibition in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and they had an exhibit that displayed the authentic death car of Bonnie and Clyde, it sent chills up my spine. I'm not sure what it is but people are still and probably always will be fascinated by Bonnie and Clyde-I wonder what it is? Great Vlog-thanks!
Always enjoy your videos. Didn't really realize how brutal Bonnie and Clyde actually were. Another job well done. Thank-you!
Great video!!! Have been to the ambush site once myself - this video brought back memories. Day of my visit, the museum(s) were not open. Also, have been to a few of Bonnie & Clyde locations in Joplin, MO, where they had a shoot out; Dexter, IA, where there was another shoot out and that is supposed to be where Clyde's brother Buck and his wife Blanche were captured; and a spot by the Kansas City International Airport where, again, another shoot out took place.
I'm so glad you went there! I'm soooooo fascinated by the gangsters of the 20s and 30s. They do have a museum on Dillinger somewhere in Indiana I think? Also Bonnie and Clyde killed at least two cops here in Arkansas. One in Alma and Fort Smith. If you're interested, they have a a new museum called the Ganster Museum in Hot Springs, Ar. It goes into Capone and Luciano and several others. Including a guy that lived there! Worth going to. Hot Springs was a hotbed of ganster activities during the 20s and 30s. In fact, the wax museum you went to there was a casino back in the day. 😊
Henry Methvin later confessed Bonnie did not shoot any of the cops. In fact, she rushed towards the cops body to help them but pulled away by clyde.
Bonnie didn’t kill anyone, but still no excuse for the partaking she did tho ..
This is so cool to see . Bonnie was my grandmothers cousin and we have picture of them together. Weird to think I’m related to her.
britnee woodward that’s fucking awesome
Awesome...
Bonnie fucked my grandpa up the shitter with a strap on after she and Clyde broke into his house in Missouri one night.. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🏃🏃🏃🏃🏃
This channel is amazing. Im soooooo glad I stumbled upon your channel. Definitely enjoy watching your videos during this pandemic
Thank you for your videos I don't get to get out much and I enjoy seeing places that I always wanted to
I've been there, and I for some reason have a huge fascination with them.
Clyde was blamed for the deaths of two motorcycle cops, when actually, it was Henry Methvin who shot the two.
My understanding was that when the 2 officers approached them, Clyde said to Henry ,"Let's take 'em!". What he meant by that was to disarm them. Henry, who I guess was extremely excitable and had an itchy trigger finger misunderstood Clyde, shot and killed one of them. At that point Clyde felt that he had no other choice but to shoot the other one . He was extremely angry with Henry about this.
Legal no Brasil eles seriam soltos
Clyde couldn't have been too angry, they killed a good number more than those two!
Regardless who shot the cops ,,,,it was a fine shot fuck them cops up
Bonnie and Clyde never wanted to kill anyone in the first place, and they were blamed for a lot of murders they didn’t do
I live about 45 minutes from the museum it’s a very interesting place I sure hope you visited the stretch of Hwy where they were killed its interesting too.
From what I've been told by numerous members of my dad's family, my great uncle Herald and Grandpa worked at that diner. I was told that one of them was tipped $10 by Bonnie and Clyde back in 1934 and my my uncle nor my grandpa knew who they were. Long story short, I THINK my great uncle and Grandpa gave Bonnie and Clyde their last meal.
My mom’s family lived within a few blocks of their hideout in Joplin. Don’t know if the place is still there, but I clearly remember seeing it as a kid. Probably because of that, I’ve always been fascinated by Bonnie & Clyde…
The Joplin hideout is still there and in good shape- Adam blogged it !

Clyde was raped, beaten and abused as a youngster in prison. I know it’s easy to judge but no one understands anyone’s circumstances.
Yes, a fellow inmate said he saw Clyde turn from a nice young man into a rattlesnake while in that prison!!! Clyde was only 5' 7" and 140lbs. easy prey in those old prisons.
I live in Louisiana been there before been to the death site too, it’s amazing love then history behind them.

I've always been fascinated by Bonnie and Clyde. I guess it's part outlaw, part robin hood and part romanticism that makes them so interesting. They did do horrible this but I think anyone that's ever dated a "bad boy" or "bad girl" will always be fascinated by the whole "ride or die" thing

Not serial killers Jacob how many times do I have to tell you this they were murderers sure but NOT serial killers
telughusang
@ed gein Wrong, well they did kill 3 or more people, they are classified as armed robbers who killed their victims.
Serial killers due to them killing many people in the same manner
right hand of satan in the state of Texas and Louisiana killing two or more is considered a “ serial killer”.
Savage Gamer as far as I know there is no state to state definition of a serial killer is, I’m pretty sure that it’s the same for all states. Also it’s not just about the number there are a few more things involved. If it was just killing 2 or more people then we would have a lot more people who would be considered serial killers. For instance if it was just about killing 2 or more people, then a guy who goes and robs a convenience store and kills the clerk and another shopper who was in the store, then he or she would be a serial killer. But that’s not the case, the FBI’s definition of a serial killer is someone who kills 2 or more people( but different law enforcement agencies have it at 3 or more and some have it at 4 or more) in separate events and usually by 1 person although there have been plenty of times when it was 2 people killing as a team. Also serial killers kill for the feeling it gives them, the high they get. The psychological gratification. And it’s done over a period of time when they will kill for a month or two and then stop basically like a cooling of period. So by definition Bonnie and Clyde were not serial killers, the killed people while committing robberies as to eliminate witnesses, they are spree killers if anything, but even that I’m not so sure about because I don’t think that they went into every situation knowing they were going to kill someone.
the car is a replica, because the original car is in las vegas,
No shit, he literally said that.
This that car form Las Vegas...

So many rumors about it, but I think it was overkill.

Awesome. The story is they were ":ride or die", legit down for each other. I believe the same amount of bullets went in to both Bonnie and Clyde.

They weren’t serial killers they were bank robbers how do you not know that.
Benwolf Johnson yes but they killed so many people during those robberies that they could be classified as serial killers even if it wasn’t their main intention
@@sarahbatongbacal9411 I disagree. Serial Killers are a specific type of killer. They plan out there murders they target specific type of people(IE... Young Women) and there crimes are very similar in nature. Bonnie and Clyde were Bank Robbers that would kill people that got in there way.I don't think they went into a bank with the intent of
killing anyone, If they had to, they would but it wasn't their main objective.
Jim Morris oh ok that makes sense thanks for telling me that
I agree with you 100 percent
you beat me to it, bonnie and clyde wouldn't be classified as "serial killers", especially bonnie, clyde was a cold blooded killer, but was fiercely motivated by his experience in the notoriously violent eastham prison farm, he was just 21, was raped, forced to do back breaking hard labor, (usually long days picking cotton) and prisoners who complained too much (or a guard had it in for someone) could be pulled out, taken around a building and executed, the guards would then write false reports they were killed trying to escape.
many of clyde's killings were in shoot-outs, 9 shootouts in all i think, that's not to say he wasn't the first to shoot, or make excuses for his killings. but the simple fact is clyde barrow became increasingly forced into "kill or be killed" situations.
side note; the eastham prison was so bad it eventually led to prison reform nationwide. so clyde did accomplish bringing attention to it's brutal treatment of prisoners. he even led a prison break from the outside just 4 months before he died. a lawsuit in 1974 alleged "cruel and unusual punishment" at the prison, it took 6 years but they won the case.
That’s my hometown I was told that was the car from the movie

Jacob , I keep looking past you in the Bunker for the Dillinger head but I can never find it . is it in storage in the bunker . I am always trilled to see my Mold O Matic items still front and center. thanks , Erick
My great grandpa who served in world war 2 had saw their bodies and car as they towed it through town
Interesting...my dad and his sister had a part in this. Dad drove the ambulance that pick them up and his sister did their hair and make up
charles hunt wow👍🏾
Amara Bella Consultants your dad was alive in 1934..?
@@gracekay6448 maybe charles is also old?
it's even more interesting how people like you make up bull shit..NO AMBULANCE picked them up, they were still in the car when towed to the funeral homes...not to mentio, your "Dad"...1934? How old r u, 90? If your going to post VERY inaccurate BS, I would suggest you have a link to some sort of proof, otherwise, people are going to smoke you on here,,especially Bonnie and Clyde history, most everyone alive has heard of them and there are millions of historians..
@@mikepuglusi3125 dude Chill out
You rushed too fast through some interesting display cases but the idea is excellent.
Thank you 🙏 very interesting!
You bring up a good point. You called Bonnie and Clyde serial killers. They fit the definition, technically under the latest FBI definition that was changed. I never have really considered them to be true quintessential serial killers but nonetheless they do fit the "current" definition.
Looks like bullet holes in that marker! Good stuff Mr Jacob! Thank you!
If you kill more than three people you're considered a serial killer
You got the story at the death site all wrong. They were killed on the opposite side of the road from the monument.
True, and came driving from the right - when facing the monument.
I love the history of Bonnie and Clyde
I've been a long time subscriber but I have to admit I haven't seen any of your videos in quite a while, I'm sorry. That being said, I came back to see you're visiting a museum that I didn't know existed but a subject that has fascinated me for years, Bonnie and Clyde. I never knew that Bonnie still had 1/2 of a sandwich in her hand when she died. I also always heard that she never killed anyone although I know Clyde certainly did. Anyway, awesome video! 👍
Good morning going see this vlog later during my lunch.
They were romanticized mostly because of Hollywood casting 2 good looking actors for the roles (Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway). Give them likable personalities on top of it, and you have two killers being remembered as celebrities.
In reality, neither were much to look at.
centuryrox I’ve never watched the movie and I didn’t know they were real people until I heard their names being mentioned in a tv show and I had done more research
@@emo_one_6666 It's actually a pretty good movie if you remember that it's not a very accurate depiction of events. In addition to casting good looking actors with charming personalities, the movie also marginalized the brutality of their crimes. Any killing they did was shown as either accidental or in self defense, when in reality Bonnie & Clyde were brutal and ruthless, and would kill without hesitation.
They were NOT serial killers. Wtf?
MY FAMILY AND I ARE TAKING A 50 STATES TRIP. WE LOVE WATHCHING THIS SHOW TO FIND IDEAS OF WHAT TO DO
