Mary Fahl and October project saved my life during a dark period of my life when I chose to finally reconcile with the death of my mother when I was 17. From the age of 13 to 17 I lived with a secret-the secret of my mothers’ illness and that there was no retuning from this dark place in her life as well as my own. Four long years of radiation, transfusions and pain. And when she finally passed and was no longer in pain, my pain began.
In the heaven We´ll have voices like Mary Fahl, sure. I´m a lover of her job. Talents as she are more absent today.
Long time fan of the Project (still have cassettes). Mary's voice brings chills and tears. Beautiful!!
If talent was the criteria this woman certainly should be on top of music world. But alas that is unfortunately not so. But thankfully her music is there for all of us to enjoy.
I guess she needs more weird theatrics, like wearing a dress made of meat or some such crazy thing.
Incredible performer. She sounds identical to the studio recording. Not many performers can do that.
A friend and I heard October Project's first CD in a record store back in 1993. We each bought a copy. We've been fans since then.
Now we are going to Mary's show in Columbus Ohio on May 12. It is a dream come true!
I just realized that, for 30 years, I have been like an evangelist for OP & Mary Fahl. When someone brings up the subject of music, I tell them about what I think is the most beautiful voice I've ever heard.
COME ON!!!! Raise your hand if you want to see this angel back with October Project!!
Won't happen. They wouldn't do any of the songs she had written back then.
Julie & Emil wrote such great lyrics & music and Mary had the most otherworldly voice to express the feelings. The entire group together was magnificent!
Now the remnants of October Project struggle along with weak sound and Mary has trouble finding lyrics that fit her talent.
I don't know the inside story of their split but I sure wish they could put patch things up.
It’s great to see a great big orchestra behind that beautiful voice. She just seems to amaze me all the time I love this woman she has this voice that melts butter I enjoy putting headphones on and listening to her sing I’m glad I discovered October project and her I’m a fan there not many great singers out there in the world and sometimes out of nowhere one comes plus October project had a great sound coming off the mixing board it instruments were very clean and crisp where you heard every instrument clear and her amazing vocals stood out
Did I enjoy it? Absolutely, a most wonderful performance.
Would love to see you spread your wings and come to the UK, especially to Wales the land of Castles and medieval history. We the Welsh appreciate truly beautiful voices.
If I were a billionaire I would make sure the world would hear her.
