I was always told and shown that to bar lace your put the lane through the first two holes but then take a leave all the way to the top and then just wrap the other round and round all the way to the top .
Often you gotta flap about getting excess leave the same length.
But bar/ block lacing what ever you wanna call it was always that way.
Outa curiosity as I bought some vans for forest time in twenty years and the lacing looks good ,do Vans use a standard way ???
