Years ago, when I met BTS for the first time, Jungkook was the one that drew my attention with his enchanting voice, unique personality, aura, ectraordinary dancing ability and charm. He always reminded me of Michael Jackson, I mean- not imitating him but in terms of having the superstar aura.. I was a huge fan of Michael and never became fan of any artist after his death.. but this boy is So much gifted- not only his voice, but his drawing ability, dancing skills, Beautiful heart, creative mind and so on.. that it is impossible to become a fan of him. He is a real treasure to be protected 💜🤍
Definitely a wonderful soul I feel. But I don't know him personally. He has developed into a great performer.

They created their own channel....... bangtantv. This is where you find their personality.
Also some stations have done interviews. Some have been rude to them.
People fear what they don't know and America music corporations are trying to make them seem strange and so far from regular people .......and they are kopo (BTS is really not kpop) and that is not normal either.......for the average person. (according to the forces that allow us to live in their country.)
They can say that they are different because they have a different Asian. philosophy.
But that doesn't hold water anymore
and 80% of S. Koreans are Christian. ( 2019 stats)
(They converted from. Confucianism when the last dynasty fell. They weren't going to be slaves anymore.
And that is because of the government, not the religion. The government retaliated by killing people who got baptized)
He is the main vocalist for BTS. :) He has such an incredible range. There are a few different remixes of this including an alternate version that is just JK. He will be performing this on a Korean music show on Oct. 13th, he is listed as a performer at the European MTV awards later this month, and his first official solo album will be out Nov. 3rd... it will include "Seven feat. Latto" as well as "3D"
He also song the fifa world cup 2022 in Qatar , the song Dreamers.
We all love him! He’s so handsome too! He’s multitalented and RM once said that if he can’t sing because he got hurt, that they wouldn’t be able to perform! Yeah baby
Thanks for the detailed break down of Jungkook’s singing & performance. He has a very versatile voice & range. A lot of times, his live singing sounds even better than the CD because of his adlibs and dancing abilities as well.

you have seen him before in bts tiny desk dynamite i believe, jungkook is the mainvocalist off bts. this is his second solo number.
I always thought JK gives michael Jackson vibe, even his year old videos will prove it. His vocal, performance, stage presence, sometimes his look reflects a lot like MJ. Surely he is inspired by MJ but projecting similar vibe is pretty rare.

I see you checked out the BTS Tiny Desk & that is great. I recommend you look at some of their other live and video performances. This group is known for their powerful dancing, diverse vocals, infusion of rap (they started as a hip hop group), and meaningful lyrics. Black Swan, Film Out, and DNA are some favorites. I think you will like them all as someone who focuses on vocal performance. All of the members are doing solo work as they rotate through mandatory military service leaving the fandom (ARMYs) with some new and unique art to enjoy. Enjoy the ride.

Kiwi spotted 😆. JK is renowned for his live vocals often sounding better than the recording. There’s a live performance of him singing “Euphoria” in Osaka, Japan. It’s partially in English but mostly in Korean. A must see. Also, his English debut song “Seven” achieved a Billboard All-Kill. No. 1 on Billboard 100, Global and Global excluding US. He had a heavy cold during the entirety of his “Seven” promotion but still did well. For the first time, he sang “Still With You” live at the 2023 Global Citizens Festival. He’s the main vocalist of BTS (in K-pop main is higher than lead). Eg JK is main vocalist, Jimin is lead vocalist of BTS.

I agree. But the boy band is a way that they make a LOT of money and it was a good vehicle for their own music.

The music he is currently putting out is very pop, it’s fun and it’s very authentic to who he is. However, if you really want to get an idea of his true vocal range, I would suggest watching some of his BTS live performances like house of cards, euphoria and ON… and even fan-made videos where they talk about his role as the main vocalist of BTS. He does vocal guides, ad Libs, backing vocals, steps in when other members can’t sing, takes on being centerstage in most acts, and is able to maintain his vocal quality while performing complicated dance routines, he can even sing beautifully while suspended, hundreds of feet in the air… You’ll see.
He is truly impressive and extremely hard-working. I think the current most recent solo work he’s done thus far, is only showcasing the tip of the iceberg in comparison to what we’ve seen in his 10 years of being in BTS, there’s definitely more to come from him.

I know nothing about your background so I shouldn't be surprised that you had to do the comparison thing. Perhaps I am over reactors whose comments say that the BTS members have not reached a standard of excellence set by some American from the past.

I didn't say that he hadn't reached the height of MJ. Actually quite the opposite. I think MJ is considered in many cultures and countries to be a multi talented musician and dancer. It was meant to be a compliment. Not many people can make both look so effortless and smooth. Just my opinion.

Of course JK knows how to sing and dance, he has his own unique voice but all professionals singers, coach, musicologist of the planet know that Michael Jackson had an exceptional voice and that JK has a more normal voice. there is no need to use MJ name, bring his exceptional vocal range, singing techniques down to attract views, JK attracts views itself.
