Guys it's not that he can't sing.. he can. It's his anxiety and stage fright that is holding him back.. if you haven't sang in front of a live audience you can't possibly understand how hard it is to let loose on stage. It's a horrible and frustrating and embarrassing. Singing is all about the vibe and if you can't get over the nerves it's literally impossible to perform well. If you watch him you can see the anxiety in bus face.. he is aware he is off and that makes him more anxious which makes it even harder to sing well but if he couldn't sing at all he wouldn't be aware of just how awful he sounds..

Especially if you're already an anxious person.. the problem is he got into the business through a TV show.. the weeknd, lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey, just to name a few all started out in bars and open mics and worked out their kinks and eventually Rose to the top but all of them had to experience performing poorly over and over until they got it right.. and even then all signers have bad days. Compare their other live performances and they'll never sound identical.. many factors contribute to a singer sounding good or bad but the main one is their nerves.. and confidence

This is why people said Harry more suit in solo. Yes i know Zayn from 1D, he is a shy person, during live concert we cant see him but we can hear his voice the most. He are not bubbly and hyper like others members. That was i doubt him too at first for being solo bcs of his stage attitude. He can sing so well but he dont know to rock the stage. But i just love him and support him all the way. This was pretty aweful. Even with a great audio engineer, in-ear monitors and none of the high notes sung full voice from his album there are tons of out of tune notes.

Such a boring singer live. It worked with 1D because he was the one who never really messed around and just hit his high notes, but him as a solo artist is so boring live.
