    Congrats for a fabulous tutorial, man. It's been a revelation to me!

    Thanks so much 52K! I had this trick in my repertoire for years, but I took a decade long break from magic and completely forgot about jazz aces. I originally learned it from a Michael Ammar video - he did something to change to pace of the constant repetitive addition as well but you did an amazing job with that problem as well.
    Do you have any tutorials on the linking card rings? I believe that is the name of the trick. Basically what happens is cards are torn such that there are holes in the middle. They are then linked together and separated.
    Also, I'm sure you know they trick, but with your following you should show the gemini twins. Out of the 100 some odd tricks I used to do, gemini twins and a version I invented of the clock got the best reactions. The clock routine I do was always what I saved for my finale.
    You're light years ahead of me now (even though I'm 32 and was doing jazz aces at 15 so I should be farther along - but there is a reason I took a 10 plus year hiatus). That being said, I would love to show you the clock effect I do. And if you for some reason don't know gemini twins, I'll be happy to show you.. Thanks for everything and most of all for getting me back handling cards. One of my favorite hobbies was robbed of me and you have helped motivate me to become as good as I was in high school and soon surpass it. Thanks a bunch. There are other tricks I can share with you as well that I don't see in your tutorials that you are welcome to teach (assuming you don't know them). Let me know and when you have time. Thx Again!

    You are a very good teacher! The only complaint I have is that you're teaching how to perform the trick, rather than the trick itself. It sounds kinda like I just wanna learn the trick without learning anything else, but really I think it should be up to the magician as to how to perform the trick itself. Great videos though!

    Awesome trick! Love it. I experimented with it a little. I think that if you show the aces BEFORE you put them in the middle of the hand packet, do the count and put them on the leading ace but DO NOT show them and leave with the back part showing up. Continue the same (show, in packet, disappear , put on leading ace face DOWN) till you finish and you are left with 1 face up and 3 face down aces. Reveal.

  • @cxeedaw6301

    Okay, now I have to learn the Elmsey count. I found a packet with the gimmicked cards for "Final Aces Routine" and was surfing through to find a good video to learn it but soon discovered that the routine is very old and no longer produced. :( "Jazz Aces" is the perfect solution for me. It is the same basic effect except since it's not gimmicked it will take me a while master but at least it ends much cleaner. I like the fact that everything can be examined, which is a really good trade off.

  • @hyperhavoc5
    @hyperhavoc5 Před 10 lety +1

    I'd agree to that, actually. But I also think that for beginners, teaching the entire performance of it can be detrimental because it restricts the magician's creativity. It's up to the magician to make those "aha!" moments, and if they can't, they need to work a better performance. Its nothing that doesn't come with time and practice. I guess there's two schools of thought on this.

    I'm inclined to offer a counterpoint--the survival of magic as an art form after the advent of the net depends on magicians still learning how to perform, not just how to do secrets. The more we encourage performance, the less we have people spoiling good effects by slopping doing "secrets" and revealing things.

    just a little comment, elmsley count can be done face-up, just need to misdirect your audience, keep their attention from your first card~ And in the video sixes and fives are used to confuse your audience~ and for me, I usually turn the faces towards myself or even switch the first and second card when spreading the four cards, trust me, it will work =D

    Asad I must admit you're very good teacher, but the only thing I'd like u change is to keep talk more straight, for example you pull 1st "how to" move and then start talking about magical gestures and stuff. I say this because I believe people forget what they had to do as I did so they have to watch video few more times and they get confused. I hope you understand what I wanted to say. Greetings and once again you are a great teacher and keep it like that.
