YO! So glad to be bringing the Elmsley Count to my channel and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. This tutorial for the elmsley count will teach you how to hide a card in the action of counting the cards. It can be used for MANY different routines and remains one of the most deceptive sleights out there!
Take your time learning this one because with the basics of card magic, you'll be able to start creating your own magic routines.
Thanks for watching and go show Spade some love, he'll be teaching his version of "Twisting the aces" on his channel, but first you need to learn this!

Went this weekend and did my first performance.. so different than just practice. I was so nervous
Leonard Stansbury how'd it go
Russell FC it went good just know now I need to preform more to get use to preforming
Congrats on putting yourself out there. It will get easier with experience, but I still get approach anxiety. I'm fine once I get started though.Keep working, brother.
Hey man, have you been performing more the past year? :)
This guy really counted six cards from just three right in front of my eyes and my mind still didn't understand what the heck happened...
I love Chris's authentic astonishment. Just shows there all kinds of ways to perform different moves. Everyone can make a move theirs and unique.
Oh my God. I practiced with two card for not even 5 minutes and tried it with three cards. And it felt so natural and perfect in my hands I couldn't help to literally laugh out load. It's 6 am here mind you so I gotta keep it down but thank you Chris And Xavier this is an AMAZINGLY beautiful move
I know everyone already know's this joke,but it's still funny😂
You know Elmsey got 4 kids
Nobody ever saw the third

Wow! That has to be the smoothest Elmsley count I've ever seen. Also one of the best tutorials on it. I've been struggling with mine but starting with just to cards and working up make a lot of sense. Thanks.
This even tosses in LOADS of subtleties! Good video!
Yo Chris, greetings from Australia ! I've been doing magic for almost a year, and you made me start this passion, and I just love going in the streets and performing for people ! Thank you for the daily content, you are awesome and inspire me ! Je suis franco suedois aussi, donc bonne continuation à toi 😉
all these tricks you teach are so helpful! thanks Chris!

Literally the sickest, smoothest Elmsley I've ever seen. Unreal!!! Well done Xavior. Subbed!
We could call it "Monday Magic".

From 5th grade to 9th I studied and loved magic and got sooo bullied for it. It’s cool that people like you exist because you really seem to be able to make magic seem cool
So BIG!!! So great!!! So simple!!! Loved it
Chris just had to say thank you. It's been about 2 mouths now since I started watching your videos and can stay its what inspired me to start cardisty. my first decks are Madison and McKinnon kings.

That was a sick move. Adding this to my practice list!
Trying this at the moment. He makes it look so easy.
The best tutorial about this move ever made.
Thank you so much Chris!!
This is one of my weaknesses I can't nail it. I've had to substitute for other counts. But I feel that as long as at the end of your performance the audience is amazed, it doesn't matter how you get there.
Xavior Spade have BEST tutorials on youtube if we speak about magic.his sleith of hand is pure magic.
Deezam!!! This is the best tutorial I have EVER seen on the count.... OMG... but I swear to all the powers that be, it shouldn't be on CZcams. I hate you so much right now... I love you so much right now!!! Awesome.
This is absolutely amazing, greetings from lebanon 🔥

I gotta say man Xavier you really are a beast.
Xavier's elmsley count is the best I have seen!! Thanks for all the amazing content Chris! By the way, was that a pass in the beginning ?
Cover pass. :)
Nice video.
I am a few years older than you guys. I learned the Elmsley count 55 years ago when I was 16. There was an added move. When you took the 2nd and 3rd card together, you actually moved your hands in opposite directions. It was supposed to make the move a bit harder to detect. In actuality, it just made the entire thing look suspicious. But after mastering the Elmsley count, the progression began with counting 5 cards as 4, then 6 as 4, 7 as 4 (this was practice), all the way to counting 15 cards as 4. This was done with the magi on stage at least 10 feet from the spectators. The procedure was thus: you counted 4 cards, threw one away (it would flutter to the floor), and then counted 4 more cards. You threw one away, and counted again, showing you still had 4 cards in your hand. You did this until you had only 4 cards (for real) left in your hand.
For a 16 year old boy doing card tricks, this looked really impressive and never failed to get oohs and aahs from the spectators.
This "newer" method is easier, impossible to catch if it is done well, and is a great addition to many tricks, always keeping the spectators guessing.
really God tutorial chris!!!!
and when you do a street magic video?🙏🙏🙏🙏
love this channel keep the magic going and also you should go on pen and teller
holy shit you acc loved my comment thanks man that means a lot ❤❤

All-wheel backs, my favorite!
YOOOOO Chris i am from Algeria and you do a really nice job

This was the first count I ever learned. (Bobo)
I never really learned how to apply it. Time to go check out Spade's maneuver now.
The cleanest i ever seen
This Is so good
SO AWESOME
Xavior is really good teacher
Spade's pass in the beginning of the video is ludicrous!
Xavior's Elmsley Count is amazing! I'm stucked at hiding the 3rd card, but I can say I've already got good results just by watching this tutorial.
Tutorial Tuesday sounds catchy
you are an excellent presenter
Thanks Man
nice I was looking for a good sleight these days
The Elmsley count huh? I've always put off practicing this move because I haven't found too many applications to use it. Guess it's about time to put some practice in. Looks too good in Xavier's hands. Thanks for the tutorial!
Damn, that was smooth with the two cards!!! Hey Chris where's the Derren Brown review with you fanboying???
Mondays are now my favorite weekdays
Magic Monday!
Was looking in the comments for this
sounds lit
Not a bad idea
yesssss!
he is a real beast
Monday's just got better
Every good magician has those exact same hand movements. Down to the most minute movement. That's CRAZY.
Great vid
I wanna add a little tip when you learn that watch it in you phone so you can twist the video to keep up with xaviors' hands and have fun :)
Chris' hat was touching the ceiling 😆 at 0:47
Nice stuff!
Will you maybe tell us a little about the Derren Brown show you went to?
yo chris great video my man!! Could you please reccomend a small routine for street magic (mostly card tricks) Thanks a lot ❤❤❤
love you broro💜💜💜
So great, thanks for the knowledge !
Is it ok is the face up card ending position is the same as the starting position ?
I used to avoid tricks with the Elmsley count because I couldn't do it well. One day I forced myself to learn it. I quickly discovered how easy and fun it is to practice! It freaks me out watching my hands do it!
I just love Chris

Chris! Xavier is so amazing! Great sense of humor like you, great style like you. Great card handling and tutorials like you...wait.. Is Xavier your alter ego?
Anyways, please get Xavier to teach proper techniques for the pass. Dammit I can't catch it even when I slow the video down and it's very near!
SORRY :D
I guess we're not getting that pass tutorial. Dammit Joseph... lol
Jesus, if that wasn't a cover pass I'm going to go do an ACR naked underwater.
Mr Slaybury it was xD
