- The most prominent features of the 1978 AMC Concord Hatchback and AMX, meant for the average consumer who may be in the dealership. There are no characters for this video, only the voice of the announcer to accompany the visuals.
The Sentinel 16 was a combination 8-track cartridge player and automated filmstrip projector, used in the mid-1970's. The cartridges, which contained both the film and the audio tape, were distributed to AMC dealers around the nation. Our exclusive restoration process, constructed by Craig Patterson, shows you the machine display exactly as it was originally meant to be seen. Colors have been restored as closely as possible, though the filmstrips were of questionable quality, and have severely degraded over time. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
My first new car was a 78 Concord Hatch, 258 4-speed. Loved that car, wish like hell I had kept it.
INSIDE HOOD RELEASE?!?! 3-speed manual!? I'm heading straight down to my AMC dealer!!!
Was common at the time. Hell a lot of cars I owned and my parents owned as I grew up in the 1960's had two speed automatics. I remember many companies used the fact that their cars had a three speed automatic instead of the more common two speed automatic as a selling feature. Guess what they worked just fine you got where you needed to go with much more reliability than today's cars.

Can't understand why the Hornets seem to be more desired than the Concord. The Concord is the final refinement of the Hornet and is a better car. But, Concords are hard to find and don't fetch the prices of the Hornet and Gremlin.
The AMX looks like a Concorde with a horrible 90s body kit.
The real AMX are 68'69'70'.
They all did it in this era. Duster Twister, Maveric Grabber, Volare' Road Runner. They were for the people who wanted the look of a muscle car without the insurance costs. They were for the most part six cylinder powered and the people who bought them were just fine with that.
