Absolutely brilliant. As a fellow airhead rider I love to see these bikes not being babied around but properly being used. Excellent work
They're definitely not ready to be museum pieces, still work to do!
You're quite mad and yet sane at the same time. Opposing, like the pistons. Glad you beat the 1200GS and I hope Tim's shoulder gets better very soon. I think your sense of humour will get you through anything, so I'm looking forward to the next adventure!
Great clips, good humour, and magnificent old Beemers. Well done..
This is bloody brilliant
What an intense race! Can't wait for the next!
You got the drop on the Sherco at the start!! 💪🏻
I think he might have stalled it, but gotta take these small wins!
Cool series _ geez, it looks hard work on that track!!
Fantastic vid. Loved it! Nice one.
Awesome series of videos Ow! Thoroughly enjoyable watch!
Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed!
I have an '82 R100RT, a '78 R100RS, now I need an R100GS. Than looked like so much fun!!!
Would be a shame not to complete the pack…sport, tour and offroad !
Great Bike & great Video! For me the old GS are the best one. I love it!
Great riding, well done! Les
Great tools for the job with low down tractable power, and comfy too. Great series of videos. Look forward to more.
Thanks mate, we're just about to start filming and got some fun lined up! Looking forward to sharing
Brilliant little series thanks guys
Glad you enjoyed it! Looking forward to the race again this year, this time on a 990 Adv :-)
Well done to both of you on completing the race. Proves that you don't need a new expensive bike to have fun
Definitely not! The MZ ETZ 251 springs to mind!
love to see more videos on your bike! great work with the editing and story
Thanks mate, will be getting back on it in the winter!
Really enjoyed this!
Glad you like it, just started filming the next!
incredible!!!!!
absolutely amazing to see these big old girls being used for what they were built for, EXTREMELY capable
Always amazes how usable these bikes are after all these years. Both my beemers are used regularly and ridden hard…they just keep going!
Enjoy the 3 videos, good for you to don’t give up and have confidence on the bike and you.
And please, take due care of that beautiful machine now, keep your promises while riding her 👍🏻
Love it! Great to see airheads out there. :)
Information, editing, commentary, very well done and thank you. "...make a cup of coffee and look at it."
Glad you enjoyed. Currently working on a few more.
Ps. I thought that phrase was genius, definitely "catchphrase material"
Love it
Mate that was some amazing riding! Love your beemer
Thanks, more grit thank skill but it got the old beat around the course!
That was great. Mad as a Hatter you guys are. Bloody good. Only thig wrong was not enough race coverage. Great more more more....
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback, will keep it in mind for the next one 🤘
Brilliant
Great test of both man & machine! Well done, some of that course reminds me of the ISDT early days.👍
“Early days”? You mean 1913? But this looked a great event. I do wish the ISDT still existed, but I guess it would not be like the event in the 1950s & 60s, so perhaps it’s better remembered than copied. Les
Love it guys, excellent to see and great efforts. Well done.
Enjoyed the videos.
Have signed up for this year's race. By no means a racer, but it looks like a great experience even if I do come last.
That's awesome. Hopefully you can see from our vids you really don't need much prior racing experience!
Come say hello at the event, and if you've got any questions about preparing just drop me a message on insta @owenmotofoto
@@bigberthaontour Really looking forward to it. Expect to come last, but I'm not worried. Always enjoy a new challenge. I'll message you on Instagram now.
Great riding! I'm on an r100gs and I love to thrash it in the woods. Based on the footage, I'd say a little bit of engine breaking/ feathering the clutch on those downhills may be helpful. If you make it out to Oregon, reach out!
Cheers, any extra riding advice is always appreciated!
Jesus that BMW took a beating and goes to show how strong they are😅
Try the Ryedale Rally in August in Yorkshire. Great coursefor bikes like yours.
Looks good, and I am actually free that weekend. Can't see anywhere how to sign up tho!
aweosome men
Hell of a race, maaan 😂
Could you write what was Rich Stubbs youtube channel?
@6:43, I hate the visor on my Schuberth E1 helmet. It’s fine if you’re always holding your head down or looking straight upwards. But who wants to ride like that? I threw the damn thing away!
Personally I wouldn’t use it, I’d leave it in the garage😆
Judging by the state of it now maybe I should have!
What's the story behind the right hand side stand?
I have absolutely no idea! Came with the bike and I can’t find any info on it. In fact the bike came with two side stands on it, one either side. I found the rhs to be a better stand so I ditched the left
Aww c’mon, tell us which bike (ie rider) came 7th and which was 10th? Just tell me quietly, no one else is reading the comments.
Lovely vid and great editing, just found me a ST Beemer myself. Greetings from southern Sweden
