  • High performance code for Data Science: Does Rust have a place in the data scientist's toolbox?
Rated developer's most loved language three years running on Stackoverflow, the Rust programming language is going from strength to strength.
However, its penetration within the data-science community has been more limited. In this talk, Lincoln Colling (Lecturer in Psychology at the University of Sussex) introduces the Rust language, and talk about where he thinks it fits in the data-scientist's toolbox.
He outlines potential use-cases, and how it can complement more commonly used languages such as Python and R. Finally, he shows how you can bring Rust into your workflow without even writing any Rust yourself.
