My median was cut on one side about an inch from the tunnel toward the elbow in an accident. Done therapy so do finger bending and scar tissue massage exercises etc, but after 7 months still have hand and finger numbness and stiffness related to median injury, and have lost strength when clenching a fist. Fair amount of scar tissue right on the carpal region.The scar extends from about 2 inches from carpal towards the elbow and extends in a V shape and curves into he middle of my hand.

In ulnar nerve you see something that might look like a hand of benedict depending on time after lesion and stiffness of hand. AND when you ask the patient to extend the fingers.
Too confusing for many thus suggest not to use the term hand of benedict. Do you agree?
yes. the difference lies when extending the hand will look like a claw cuz pt will be unable to extend in case of ulnar. whereas, in case of median, pt will be unable to flex therefore the 2 lateral digits n thumb will be like a pope's blessing hand. in both the cases the hand can look like hand of benediction. they might have given some hint of movement in the mcq. we r not getting the pictures.
I thought hand of benediction, also called claw hand, was a sign of ulnar nerve injury not median.
For the Ulnar nerve injury, you have the "claw hand". So I remember it like this: ulnar = cubital nerve => C goes with C. Cubital nerve -> Claw hand.

Claw hand is called "benedict sign".. but median nerve injury is called "hand of benediction".. someone has named it rather confusingly..
Benediction deformity
It's when the person tries to form a fist but the index and middle can't be flexed due to paralysis of the superficial and deep flexors due to injury of the medial nerve
Claw hand
It's when the distal phalanx is extended but proximal and middle phalanx is flexed
A true claw hand is formed by lesion of the median and ulnar nerve

Well I dont have money to go to a doctor
I'm about to see a neurologist in a bout two months time because my right biceps cannot curl hardly any weight, especially compared to my left side. Doctors and physio believe it's nerve damage because MRI test showed that my biceps and neck are perfectly fine so it must be the nerves. Also I'm in zero pain, just lost a absolute immense amount of strength only in the bicep curl movement. I'm just worried if this will be permanent or not. Can nerve damage be completely healed?

Go for nerve conduction test. bicep weakness refers to musculocutaneous nerve injury if not the muscle itself.
