My wife is a stay at home mom to our two kids (2 year old and a 6 month old) and you mentioned getting out in nature or hanging out with other moms during the day. Do you have any recommendations as to where she could do that? She's been trying to find like a SAHM group or something where she can get out of the house and the 2 year old can hang out with other kids his age. We are in WF too. I also wanted to pipe up on the homeschool thing. My sister homeschooled all of her kids and they turned out well enough that we are doing the same. I have two friends that are doing the same. I think everyone should homeschool that can afford it. You can always bring in a private tutor to focus on specific topics if they need a little extra help or express a deeper interest in something.

River Bend Nature Center has a lot of great events here that we take the kids to. There is also a local nature homeschool Facebook group called Wichita Falls Nature Homeschooling Meet Up that do several outdoor events and meet ups. The main thing is making those first few connections, getting connected, and that tends to lead to more connections and groups. Local churches are also a great place to meet community and homeschool families in similar situations
