Vermithor was one of the most terrifying dragons that we saw in the first season of House of the Dragon. It is a dragon that is dormant, but we saw how Damon visited him in the place where he was kept. But what will happen with this dragon in the second season of House of the Dragon? Y’all forgetting that the secret to making dragon eggs hatch is red magic from the red priests . It takes them being close to blood magic for them to hatch which is why Danny’s didn’t hatch even tho she kept them heated / in the fire until the woman performed red magic to bring back draggo

Granted, no Blood magic was used to hatched any of the Targaryen Dragons in Westeros. It's possible to happen naturally
Umm at the start, the greens only had Vhagar (Aemond), Sunfyre (Aegon) Tesserion (Daeron) and Dreamfyre (Helaena). Meanwhile the blacks have Syrax (Rhaenyra) Caraxes (Daemon) Meleys (Rhaenys) Vermax (Jace) Arrax (Luke) Moondancer (Baela) and Seasmoke (Laenor/Addam). Blacks also had the younger not yet big enough to ride Tyraxes (Joffrey) Stormcloud (Aegon the younger, Rhaenyra and Daemon's son) and Morning (Rhaena)

I Which Vermithor and Vhagar could have meet and went against each other in the dance of dragons. It would have been an amazing battle since he is the second biggest dragon next the Vhagar and also had a great deal of battle experience.
He was like a head smaller in length, I think Vermithor can win against Vhagar,

Vhagar have battle expertise but lacks agile and speed

Let's not forget in session 1 there was a young dragon seed in thr red keep.
He said the Greens had more dragons but that cant be right. They only had three but the Blacks had like 6 with riders: Rhaenyra, Rhaenys, Daemon, Lucerys, Jacerys, and Baela. Even with Lucerys dying, they still had 5, right?
One of the Greens' dragons is Helaena's...does anybody really think she'll be of much use in a war?

No, the Greens have 6 dragons : Vhagar, Dreamfyre, Sunfyre, Tessarion, Morghul and Shraïkos. Two of these dragons have never been mounted, but if you count Moondancer and Stormcloud for the Blacks, we must count Morghul and Shraïkos for the Greens. Then, before Blood and Cheese, there is no evidence that Healaena would be incapable of riding Dreamfyre. On the other hand, the book strongly indicates that Rhaenyra is incapable of doing so with Syrax, and yet you count her. So, it's 6 green dragons, against 8 black dragons. If you count the dragons that have already been ridden, it's 4 to 6. And if you count the ones that actually seem ready to fight, after Lucerys' death and the Blood and Cheese episode, it's 3 to 3 (Vhagar, Sunfyre, Tessarion against Meleys, Caraxes and Vermax).
@@alessiodandolo1460 I don't know about book Helaena, but show Helaena is absolutely no warrior, even on dragonback, even before Blood and Cheese. I don't count Dreamfyre as a viable option in war.

Helaena was able to claim Dreamfyre, a large dragon, probably very impressive, like Aemond did with Vhagar or Daemon with Caraxes, nothing says she would be unable to ride it into war. If you eliminate Helaena, you must also eliminate Rhaenyra, not even capable of riding her dragon to face peasants. In reality, The Blacks only have two adult dragons capable of fighting. Even without counting Helaena, the Greens have three, and not just any: Vhagar, the greatest of all, Sunfyre and Tessarion, young but fierce and formidable.

The egg on the wall theory is a good one, but it won't work. In GoT Daenerys mentioned to John the dragons didn't do well in the North/Cold. I'm also quite certain apart from Daenerys flying beyond the wall to rescue Jon, no other dragons are ever mentioned in ASOF to go beyond the wall. It would almost be fruitless to insert a dragon into Snow since Jon has no intention of having or using such power. It's my feel that Snow will be based on Jon's adventures beyond the wall and will have little to no screen time south of the wall.
I agree with the egg theory not working. However in fire and blood viserys does talk about vermithor being flown north beyond the wall to face an army of wargs, giants, and wildlings. Id like to think they brought Meleys as well seeing how she’s “no stranger to battle”

Correct me if wrong.....but as I remember.....alysanne took her dragon silverwing to the north of the wall and jahaerys went after her .....right?

They did... but to the point that the had what was considered the strongest (with a rider). I think what he meant is they had more dragons with riders than the blacks when it first started but to the point that the blacks children (princes and princesses) were considered usurpers or unworthy and the valerians hadn't chosen a side to start with either so they greens considered them allied.
Reading the books I got a sense of the greens having a very poorly conceived idea of having more as she was ignorant to who actually had dragons and tagereans having alot more bastards....
The war focused alot on tagerean bastard children playing a focused role to turn tables where the greens were ignorant to it and refused to a knowledge them.
Guess I'm kinda trying to say it's more about perception who had what. I always felt tagereans have a much broader sense of perception and greens very narrowed

Yup it was 13 dragons for the blacks and 4 for the green but the greens had Vhagar the tactical nuke of a dragon

In the house of dragon my favorite dragon is Bloodworm Caraxes but the only one i wish i could ride ll be Drogon from Game of Thrones! He is so beautiful

I thought vermithor was Darneaeys Dragons parent with silverwing tbh. Her three eggs don't have confirmed lineage but I never did think they came from the same parents. For some reason I thought her three eggs were related to the wild dragons in house of dragon.

Silverwing had three eggs that were sold in essos somewhere (cant recall where exactly) and those eggs later became danys dragons

Dany’s three eggs came from Dreamfyre, they were stolen from Dragonstone during Jaehaerys reign. They later sold in Pentos.

Vermithor really doesn't do all that much tbh. He has 3 battles, 2 of which are in the same town, and he somehow dies despite being the larger, tougher dragon.
GRRM chose Tumbleton to be ground-zero for multiple dragons, same as the Dragonpit
