    I've been playing some Winmau Steve Beaton darts for 2 years, they were like 85 euros back in the day. Then I had to travel for work reasons to Poland. Not wanting to lose my darts, I went online to dartshopper and bought a set of 25 euro red dragon megatons in 23 grams. Turns out, they work better for me then the beaton darts ever did.
    Cheers from Germany

    Buddy from an experienced guy here thats played since mid 70s .. ive played with cheap darts at under £20 for yrs
    and just recent trying another set cheap darts ,that i had put by ..And not any young guys with their expensive darts
    win v me ..But again i reckon darts is a game thats either in you or not .Anyhow enjoying the videos bud . Cheers 👍
    What most players who know the game well and darts well do when buying is try within a shop / store as odd store shall have a dart board up on wall and allow guys some throws to try barrels of their darts for sale and all u do is take along stems i like and flights and once u like a set of barrels only u then buy them from the shop/store ..Another thing is always try different types stems and flights in a set of darts u fancy and then see how they fly in the board ..
    As for pricier darts i once had set of Gary Andersons darts ones with two blue rings and just didnt like later playing with a named players darts and so on facebook some yrs ago now i was talking to young guy private mges regards darts and such as he was very keen he seemed on the darts as i am and id always give advice to any young guy although above saying u would not think so but on the oche im out to win v all lol
    he said he was looking at darts but were too expensive etc etc
    Seriously though ye this young guy from Dublin in rep of Ireland and im from Scotland ..The guy had pic up on his facerbook main profile page of himself when a young guy around 15 yrs of age he said ..he went onto say his dad was an alcoholic
    and why he stayed with his gran ..hence pic he had up with himself and his gran beside him on his main profile page on facebook He went onto tell about his Gran and said his gran was now seriously unwell and i felt sorry for the young guy, he said he loved his dad but sdi not want go back stay with him ..
    Cut longer story shorter next day i thought well ive the Gary Anderson darts and theyre in good condition and just sitting there in drawer taking up space not being used , i was on chatting to the guy and said to him U like the Gary Anderson darts with two blue rings on and he said yes they would be brilliant darts but too expensive for him ..I said i have a set in good condition and if u give me your home address ill have them sent to you ..he was all happy and gave his details and so that night i had the wife package them up and when she was at shops and post office had them sent off to this young guy ..few days after online on facebook the guy came onto chat and said hey Thanks very much for them Gary Anderson darts Wow he said never ever thought anyone would send me a set of such darts theyre very good ..his page then flicked in a second and pic i then saw was a guy around in his mid to late 30s ..he was not a 15 yr old guy and was basically telling porkies and a bit of a scammer
    i just there and then blocked him and never contacted again ..Have given darts away before also to a guy from Lithuania he said was from this in an Edinburgh bar as he had set darts kept within a match box and isaid to him if your here next week roughly same time ill hand u set of darts and small case with them ..which he was there and i did hand him the darts and case with them ..did not receive one thanks ..And have given 4 sets darts away 5 yrs ago near coming on now but never again i shall ..Anyhow great game although my base back probs at times beats me i still enjoy playing when i can . Like your videos although im see them 2 yrs or so later lol enjoyed .

    where it all becomes unreasonable, no matter how crazy well the darts are manufactured for 300usd, is that for half that sum, you can get a custom made dart set that is +-0.01g accurately made. I do agree with the basic premise of this video, as in the value of the darts doesn’t matter on how you can throw them. However, I do have to disagree with the fact that a multi ring grip is always enough. Many many dart players, myself included would completely disagree with that statement as I can guarantee you if I threw those Red Dragons, that are within my perfect dimensions and weight, I couldn’t throw them due to the grip. Anything below say a level 3 is completely unthrowable as I can’t hold them without said grip. I’ve had my darts on dart of the day before and almost all of the comments were about the extremely aggressive grip, and those darts got me a 9 darter and a personal best average at competition. To conclude, the statement made is far from what the subjective truth of what the feel of a dart is and many players use more than the standard rings.

    • @joelsalerno196
      @joelsalerno196 Před 2 lety

      I know I ranted for a bit here but to shorten it, multi-rings aren’t enough for many a player as every player grips the darts different, and I’m an example of a player who can’t throw an low grip dart

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  Před 2 lety

      Have a look at the top 32 PDC players in the world as of today... www.pdc.tv/order-of-merit/pdc-order-merit The overwhelming vast majority of them use a basic dart. Bunting, King and Whitlock are a bit outside of the norm. Yes, a basic barrel isn't for everyone as you said but again, the vast majority of pro players use a basic dart. I also referenced NEW players in this video and said that they really don't need a "fancy" dart in order to play well.
      I'm not sure what there is to disagree with as I really only mentioned pro players and new players in this video and of course there's going to players who prefer the fancy Shot type darts and there's nothing wrong with that either. Although I would never recommend something like that to a newish player

    • @joelsalerno196
      @joelsalerno196 Před 2 lety

      @@WorldwideDarts A few points, I completely agree that a new player should try out a muck cheaper set, but saying that only a few PDC top 32 players don’t use a basic dart is completely false. World No.1 has a shark grip and the famous chevron section, Peter Wright almost never uses a light grip dart, and certainly while not playing his best, Anderson uses both the purist grip with I would say having owned is closer to a shark grip than some multi rings, Joe Cullen again has more of a purist grip, same with Clayton, Noppy also has that grip, De Zwann has more elaborate grips than I can even name and you yourself having used the soft and steel versions, I don’t think I need to elaborate on the Peterson’s. And even that isn’t including the more boarder line gripper darts such as MVG for the pattern of the rings. That is, including the 3 you said, a total count of 11, without going properly in depth about all the barrels used and from what I can remember off the top of my head. Saying that the PDC Top 32 is mainly a basic ring grip dart is insane. Also, multiple times in the video you stated that when addressing the entire audience “all you need is a multi-ring dart” or something there and about.

    • @joelsalerno196
      @joelsalerno196 Před 2 lety

      @@WorldwideDarts As once last piece of evidence, I went across the Top 32, looking into each of their darts and if I considered a dart borderline I gave it to the Basic dart group. Having said that, the results show 16 in each way, 16 for both the stronger grip barrels, the point I was making and the basic dart barrels, the ones you claim hold an "overwhelming vast majority". I love your content, but I also love due research and the engineering of the current darting market.
