A few days ago, my new bicycle using an LG washing machine brushless motor was completed. In the first conversion, (which you can see at the following link: • Washing Machine brushl... ), I reached a dead end. The single-arm frame with the wheel-rotor was flexing too much, thus risking the magnets touching the stator on road bumps. Moreover, without any gear reduction, too much energy was needed when starting. In my new project I use the old motor and improve it by using neodymium magnets in a Halbach Array arrangement, while I power it with a VESC at 48 Volts and 1800 Watts.
The 4000mAh Lipo pack is too small for my needs, but I have left something for later.
Special thanks to Aggeliki for my ENG Subs - Věda a technologie
That’s an absolutely gorgeous frame design, and seemingly perfect for taking a washing machine motor for a different kind of spin
agreed love love love that frame
Looks like a hybrid of cheetah and dinosaur. This man is a genius😍
Indeed
Yout trousers seem to get very close to the motor's chain.
I strongly recommend using a chain cover there. Such a powerful motor could easily get some serious harm done if the chain catches something
Been there, done that... bad idea... I ended up having to pedal 4hours a day on the washing machine to get the wife's clothes clean and avoid a divorce situation... it wasn't funny at all...
More seriously, this thing is a beast ! You can be proud of your work sir !
I started reading your comment super worried that you were trashing his idea. Ended up hilarious XD
@@030398ryoma I never would, this guy is a genius ! I wish I would be able to do half of what he's doing lol !
Dude GREAT comment 😂😂😂😂
Most beautiful frame I have come across and looks like a comfortable ride
That was a beautiful work, man.
I like how you fixed the flex issues, and I’m surprised I’ve never seen a Halbach array on a BLDC before. The 3D printed magnet mounts are smart, although for maximum torque I’d have made them just as temporary spacers to facilitate the epoxying of the magnets directly onto the rotor. Could get smaller clearances (0.5mm per side) that way also.
I think you could have wound the stator for a higher Kv, seeing as I think you ended up gearing up the speed. Gearing down for torque means less ohmic losses from what I understand, but maybe the peak power output is better in the way you’ve put it. Not that temperature was ultimately a problem.
That FOC mode is very useful to know, I’ll be sure to see about using that for my own BLDC conversion!
I'm glad you know your stuff 😮🤘🤠
Excellent engineering and execution!
You shared enough for me to start building something very similar as soon as I can.
Thanks for sharing your hard work.
Beautifully crafted and built! Awesome finish! Applause!...you deserve it!
wow i love the frame, you are an artist engineer
i never seen like this,, a masterpiece
Bro the cycle looks great. I didn't understand most of the things but this cycle runs faster than many electric motor cycles I have seen. It's simply brilliant.
Amazing and wonderful!
This is a very well made frame and the choice of the motor is very good. Thank you for the video
Love the entire design. Perfect balance and lines . Beautiful
I am forkin speechless.... Have seen many designs of the electrics, the frame etc but yours is the best by far... Simplistic if I may say so but yet so elegant and functional and compact.. I need to watch this vid many more times to absorb all the engg details but am very impressed.. Keep up the good work... cheers
Incredible project, congrats!! I'd love to see more details .
Absolutely incredible. Thanks for sharing and keep posting your projects please.
Awesome idea, design and build. It looks stunning - well done :)
Absolutely gorgeous, man!
Well, it's awesome to watch this innovative product using a washing machine motor with the magnets arranged was indeed highlight to it.
Moreover the cycle frame design seems appropriate to this project.
Well done!
Probably best build on CZcams 👍🏼
Love the bike and your explanations. The video is very informative and well made. Nice one.
What a fantastic effort, very well done.
Spectacular job! Kudos.
beautiful bike and genius engineering.
first ride almost flattens lady out in first block.

Incredible and beautiful!
Gorgeous bike, cool sound too
Incredibly beautiful , the hole job is unbelievable
WOW you have reinvented the bicycle BRAVO!!!
What a gorgeous looking beast!!! 😲
It's got to be the best bike I ever seen. Who would think using washing machines motor. I like the style of the bike a real head turner the white and wheels just perfect. I wish he made them to sell. I was hoping to see speed but it looked pretty fast. Its like when I see this bike it stops in my mind for days. I wish I was younger I would have a go and try to build this bike. I'm lost for words. It's absolutely great. The guy that made this bike its a piece of art. I think he should make a business making and selling. Good luck uf your going to do that
Very cool frame design! Great project :)
One and only Simel!! Great job my friend!!!

I've just ended to watch this video that I bumped into.
Congratulations. Good technical skills, clear explanations, good manuality, wonderful idea!
Keep straigth in this way.
Greetings from Rome. Αντίο και ευχαριστώ
👍👍👍 No comments! Looks like my dream bike!
It has a far more pleasant sound than any electric bike I have heard, they are always whiney where this has a nice deeper sound, likely because of the bigger motor. Nice design in general.
gorgeous, speechless!!!!!
Very very thankful for the insight sir! Such a marvellous bike. I wish to make one myself someday as it has been my dream since I was a kid. But I couldn't help but notice that there aren't any shock absorbers.. 🙂
Amazing video... Thumbs up!!!
Awesome job!
Nice work man!
Beutiful frame, excellent engineering skills...
Nice project!
that bike is gorgeous
Really awsome!!
una delle bici piu' belle che ho visto. complimenti!

Genius design bro. And surprisingly fast! Building one myself, tired of gas powered
Good job fella👍😎👍
Amazing !
Sehr schönes Bike/Rahmen.
classy ride OMG!
Very nice work! I have subscribed.
This is an absolutely amazing bike, you should patent it and "mass" produce it! I love the sound, it's the best sounding e-bike!
wow its brilliant and awesome :)
Nice work .. I have watched all of Gerard Morin's videos relating to this kind of motor .. very good information .. and love what you have demonstrated. What a nice looking bike design .. nice looking tires too. Will be amazing to see what happens as a result of this.
I’m sold! You might need an MSC in Electronics and 20 years in some trade AND a lot of nice kit to build this beast, but hey, it’s all possible thanks to this video. Thank you so much. Only thing I’d change is scrapping the cranks and secondary chain and install hog style foot decks. It’s an awesome eChopper is what it is😉🤤
That would be so awesome
Wunderbahre Arbeit,Bravo. Gruß aus Deutschland.
Well Done, it's a marvelous piece of work. You are really amazing artist and an engineer
