    I've had the top hand ventures sissy bar since 2017 when i put them on my new streetglide. They are top quality and help me strap luggage for long rides. They look perfect 7 years later.

    I just bought a 2020 StreetBob yesterday. My sissy bar will be in this week. Thanks for the video. This will make my install go easier.

      Awesome! Good luck to you. It's much easier if you take the fender all the way off instead of fighting it like I did.

    I just got the detachable one for my 2006 street bob with the extra fat seat I took the saddle bag holders off as well . But I had bolt size issues and have had to put 2 steel bolts in short term till I can get the stainless steel button ones I want

    Awesome video! You did a great job with it. Too much work for me for a sissy bar install - sticking with HD tall quick detach one. But, you video was excellent! 👍

      Thanks, I would definitely recommend the Harley sissy bar over this one for ease of install and to avoid paint scratches and scuffs.

    Very nice, I recently bought a xg750 Street harley, and it's really hard to find anything for them, I feel like I'm an outsider, lol.

    We're those bolts supplied? They look longer than the stock bolts. I put mine together today with the stock bolts and it sketches me out. It has to be only holding on by a thread or two. Those stock bolts are tiny

    2 questions for ya. Can you get black hardware for it? And is there a specific back pad for that or is it universal?

    This is the next thing I’m doing to my FXST. I never paid attention to the catalog picture showing the H-D bar with the mounting brackets on the outside. This bar really does look better. I wonder if the H-D bar could be mounted to the inside, too?
    Also noticed the mounting bracket is resting directly on the fender now. Wonder what that does to the paint?
    Overall this is a cleaner looking install. You gave me more homework to do before buying one.

      There is definitely a possibility of paint scratching where the sissy bar mounting plate touches the fender. Most of it will be under the fender support bracket though to be honest. It might be possible to stick some protective film over that portion of the fender to prevent scratching. I've seen this type of material provided with swingarm bags so that the straps don't wear down the paint.

    Great video! Hey do you know the height of the sissy bar from the top of the fender to the top of the bar? Is it long enough to strap a sissy bar bag too?

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  Před 2 lety

      The bar is listed as a 16" height and I was able to strap a bar bag to it with no problem. Unfortunately, I don't have the bike any longer to get an exact measurement.

      @@jimdean6437 Thanks a lot. In Mallorca (where I am from) everything goes by catalog and it is difficult to find everything, we depend on availability and many times you do not buy what you like but what arrives. We will continue inventing. A pleasure.

      That is correct, it is a Saddlemen Step-Up seat. Not sure if they ship to Spain, but here is their support email: sales@saddlemen.com. I'm sure they will be able to answer any questions you may have.

    What kind of back pad fit on the mount.

    • @KSSTUDIOS
      @KSSTUDIOS  Před 3 lety +1

      I think it's pretty flexible to accommodate a wide range of pads. There are two holes pre-drilled in mine. I assume most pads that you drill your own holes would work with the right length screws, but never mounted one personally. I chose the pad mount bar so that my tie straps had something to hook onto and never got around to installing a pad.
