    One of my favorite scene when Ruyi met Rong Pei for the first time. Never gets boring watching it for many times...

    Finding out that Rongpei didn’t have any family was heartbreaking once you’ve watched the ending clips and learn that she joined Ruyi in death she did it because she didn’t want to live without her family (Ruyi) anymore 😭 the dagger in my heart got deeper

      It is the greatest blessing for Rong Pei to meet Ruyi~

    3:15 Jia's oldest son really was a very good child. It's unfortunate for him that Jia overplayed her hand one too many times. He likely could have earned the throne on his own merits.

      But a mother has a great influence on her son and cannot be changed

      Его мать сильно влияла на него! Когда он женился, даже его жена сказала ему, что он был почти наследным принцем, а его мать, в угоду своей девичьей любви к принцу Юй, толкала его на край пропости

      @@user-dt3uw9lv7uYes, children naturally love their mothers and want to make them happy. That's what makes Jia's son so unfortunate. My heart broke for him when he realized to what extent he was being used.

    This is so unrealistic. The eunuch’s beating female maids so hard that he doesn’t notice the coming of the consort? Ahhh…

    I have been meaning to ask a question about the ladies hair styles, as I know little of this period and how they dresses. Are those arcs over their heads, decorated or plain, styled from their own hair, or is it some articial material?

      @DEllis1228 Před 2 lety +3

      Man-made! Usually some cardboard or fabric is used~~~Hope that helps you understand~

    How can Sanbao knew what Ruyi wanted to do to that eunuch? Did he read her mind? 🤣🤣🤣
    And Jia really an idiot, you can just ignore Ruyi, is not like she interested to kill or harm any of your child (since she tried to used Ruyi and Hailan to kill Yongcong via Moxin's sickness but failed due to Ruyi told Hailan she refused to kill children while Zhenshu was watching the scene)

    Those weird bowl cuts are freaking me out! Why would anyone choose to do that to themselves?

      Sorry, I don't quite understand your question

    • @ingasparrow
      @ingasparrow Před 2 lety

      Do you mean the queues? The shaved top with the long hair in a braid? If so, that's the traditional Manchu hairstyle. I read somewhere it was required by law for all men to wear their hair that way.
      A bowl cut is literally putting a bowl on your head and cutting the hair below the edge of the bowl.

      The queue was a symbol of unity when the Manchu tribes united. It was a mark of membership in the society and letting go of past ties to other groups.
