As someone on the autism spectrum disorder (asd), I've been surprised how soothing your ASMR videos have been. Most sensations of touch and sound unerve me. For instance being hugged feels bad to me. However, I feel that ASMR may give me an idea of what it feels like to be hugged for non-ASD people. Keep up the good work.
Gerard G. Very random question but does it hurt anywhere specific (like your back) when you are touched or hugged? I've never been diagnosed with anything but I have that feeling and therefore avoid physical contact. You don't have to answer if you feel uncomfortable talking about it, I was just wondering.
The upper arms and shoulders feel the worst to get touched for me. It's not so much pain as a lingering feeling that's very unpleasant. It's hard to explain.

My son has Asp and often has trouble falling asleep due to his hyperactivity. He finds these videos calming and engaging. Even if it's not bedtime and he's just having a difficult time coping with something or having a meltdown, I'll turn on the videos and it will calm him instantly.

Hi, If you haven't tried it yet, I urge you to try CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy). It helped me alot.
Hi Maria. Could you do a video, like a sleep over, where you brush our hair and then braid it. Maybe put a mud mask on us and do our nails. Anything else you could think of that you would do at a sleep over... Thanks for your videos!

Your voice is super soothing, like a sedative. Lovely. Just a side note, the blue and white ring that has the magnet, is actually sodalite not lapis lazuli. I am a lover of gems as well. Gorgeous collection you have my dear, hugs!

No it's the natural coloration of sodalite. I have some also, I have studied gems for quite some time...and although they might be similar, that one is not lapis.
Thank you for pointing this out. :) I have a few more corrections on the magnet ring that will help Maria to know what she has. :) The first (green) is jadeite, the second (blue), as you said is lovely sodalite. The white one is actually mother of pearl, and the final one is abalone. :)
I cant believe that original ring video is 2 years old!! its 1 of my favorites and this 1 is just as lovely! soothing voice and the rings are a feast for the eye! I'm listening to this right before I start my night shift job, I'm sure to have an anxiety free shift when u join it, Maria!

p.s. When your little light thing lightly tapped whatever ring you were shining it on, it gave me tingles and I usually don't get tingles from tapping

I started watching asmr a little over a year ago, some random day when I couldn't sleep. From then on, it would be something that would help me not only mentally, but physically as well.
My father was diagnosed with pre-bladder cancer at the end of 2017, and has issues with his arteries. At the end of 2018, he was constantly in and out of the hospital because of both of these problems, and that was around the time when I found Maria's account. Her videos helped me sleep through the nights of worry.
Now that all of the choas is over, I don't really have a use for the asmr videos anymore. I do have mild anxiety, so if I do have an anxiety attack, I do throw on a video from time to time.
But, I enjoy watching the videos for the relaxation. I am a naturally tense person, meaning, my muscles are very tense. When I watch asmr videos, especially Maria's, Frivvi's, or Grace's, I can actually feel my muscles relaxing. It's a feeling I never thought I would have. It's actually helped me in doctor's offices, where I become even more tense than usual.
So thank you, Maria, and every other asmrtist I watch, for helping me through the struggles. I appreciate you all.
