- Today we're sitting down to watch the peak of cinematic history, the Angry Bird Movie. Some may say "how could a movie based on a mobile game be any good?" and the answer is it probably isn't, but it's a decent family movie we had a blast watching. btw did u know that it was actually based on the mobile game "Angry Birds"? Sources say that flappy bird may be involved but Josh Gad would not reach out for comment.

Flightless birds lead a mostly happy existence, except for Red (Clay Kaytis), who just can't get past the daily annoyances of life. His temperament leads him to anger management class, where he meets fellow misfits Chuck (Fergal Reilly) and Bomb.

the sinking of the titanic, german bombers bombed belfast killing 1000, north korea shot down a us navy aircraft, vietnamese in cambodia were massacred, 97 people were crushed and killed at a football( or soccer) game, tianamen square, the boston bombings, lauren was born, 200 civillians were gunned down in sudan, the notre-dame burnt down, and a mass shooting happened in a fedex building in indiana

Not to mention the worst thing to EVER happen on April 15th: The opening of Disneyland in Tokyo.
If there’s one thing this movie did well, its without a doubt the way it adapted the games. It’s a relatively faithful adaptation of the games in a time where video game movies often changed a bunch of stuff and weren’t super faithful. It reminds me a lot of how the mario movie adapted the games, but before the mario movie.
It’s also so hilarious the jokes of this film are so funny

This movie would have been peak if they made the birds and pigs look like those hyper realistic meme templates instead of giving them arms for some reason
one time i was looking through the concept art and one of chucks old designs actually did look like that, with tiny arms and legs
I don't hate the actual design but having them being hyperrealistic would have been funnier.
my favourite part is when bomb realizes they climbed the wrong mountain and then entered emotional anguish for two days straight then tries to fucking kill himself

I dunno about anyone else. But the two Angry Birds movies have been some of my favorite animated movies in more recent times. And I still get a big kick out of the Lake of Wisdom scene with the Mighty Eagle.

The part where Mighty Eagle says No after epic music plays was Comedy Platinum.
I remember seeing this in theaters because of how hyped I was and how disappointing it ended up being.
Also, I think this was the first movie that made me realize that there’s a weirdly large number of animated children’s films with references to The Shining in them. You know, for all the 4-year old Kubrick fans in the audience
