Two best recent games are the quarterfinals games from the RWC 2023 South Africa vs France and New Zealand vs Ireland. That was the craziest weekend of rugby ever.
Probably 2 of the best games in history for sure
15 kept his contract. You can't tackle someone unless they have the ball. Seeing him kick 15 broke off the tackle
Hurrah, I was going to say that! No blocking or impeding anyone who hasn’t the ball. Thank you👍
Also he was playing for an invitational team called the British and Irish Lions. Playing for them is the greatest achievement possible for a player from Britain or Ireland. Anyone wearing that red shirt is probably one of the best players in the world in their position.
@@willsonj 👍
South Africa & New Zealand are the two most successful teams in the world and have the biggest rivalry spanning over 100 years. Springboks (SA) and All Blacks (NZ)
Biggest rivalry and also BIGGEST names!!!!!!! There are other big names from other countries though that I absolutely love
Its not a rivalry when both sets of fans are always spooning each other. You don't see any Scottish fans support England when they play someone else. New Zealand and Australia is a rivalry.
@@liamwilliams6651 as if the Bledisloe cup isn't a one horse race every year. There has to be an actual contest to have a rivalry and Australia have failed to be competitive for an entire generation
@@ConnorDelport-ff3dw The whole RC is a one horse race. Admittedly Australia aren't what they used to be. But when I look at NZ rivals I see a far greater rivalry with Australia than with SA. NZ and SA practically root for each other. You'll never see a kiwi support Oz.
SA are an A team which is nice, But NZ are the only S teir team imo. not fair to have them on similar standing.
England vs Scotland is the oldest international, first played in 1879. Rivalry dates back 800 years, and we now have rugby matches rather than battles. 1990 and 2019 were big ones worth looking at.
Oh dear knock yourself off bro.
South Africa and New Zealand have historically been the best sides but I wouldn't call it a rivalry. The fans support each other whenever they don't play each other which is not what I call a rivalry. Australia and New Zealand on the other hand is much more of a rivalry although the last decade has been quite one sided in NZs favour. Scotland and England is the oldest rivalry. For the club scene the biggest rivalry has to be Leinster and Munster, two Irish teams where Munster were the top dogs until overthrown by Leinster. Leinster and La Rochelle (French) is a recent rivalry thats brewed in the European Cup. A big reason being that La Rochelle are coached by Ronan O'Gara who is a Munster legend. Down south the biggest rivalry is probably the Blues and Crusaders which are probably the two biggest Kiwi sides.
I support the boks and anyone else playing against NZ even the bloody poms, it's the same for most English speaking South Africans I know, but the Afrikaners will take NZ over the poms as there's no one they hate more. That said a lot of the saffers I know have lived in NZ and seen how their supporters are first hand, most folks back in SA have a respect for the ABs and their fans that hasn't been worn down by much interaction with them.
To score a try (touchdown) the player must actually touch the ball down on the ground, it must be in his hands. He can't just run over the line holding it, sometimes the defending players will catch up and hold the ball carrier off the ground to stop him scoring!
All blacks (New Zealand) vs Springboks (South Africa) is the biggest rivalry in rugby
The 2 best sides but not the biggest rivals. The England vs Scotland rivalry goes back to well before the creation of New Zealand and South Africa. England vs Scotland was the first international fixture in the history of sport, and it’s still one of the best to watch.
@@willsonj all blacks and springboks rivalry is over 100years old and they share 7 out of the 9 world cups of which the springboks weren’t involved in 2 of
@@willsonj he said biggest not first. Green and Gold vs All Black is every rugby fans dream, why! Because the All Blacks are best team in test rugby history and the Bokke are the team the All Blacks fear to play. It is every young South African rugby players dream to play for the springboks but facing NZ in a Bok jersey is the cherry on top.
@@wesrobmat It’s the biggest game but not the biggest rivalry. The rivalry itself is not comparable to England vs Scotland.
@@willsonj Top five rugby rivalries by Rugby Pass
1. New Zealand vs South Africa
2. Australia vs England
3. England vs Ireland
4. Australia vs New Zealand
5. Fiji vs Samoa
If you’re taking about the biggest rivalry on the British Isle then sure 👍
A rugby field is 10 yards longer goal line to goal line and 23 yards wider than an NFL field with an extra 4 men on each team to cover, the level of physical ability in rugby is insane.
The little dude at 4:00 is a south African player they call the honey badger he's insane regularly taking down guys four times his size through sheer skill and determination.
Fijian rugby against Australia and Springboks vs New Zealand maddddddzzzz rwc 2023
There is surprisingly few concussions in rugby, a lot of broken bones and torn muscles but surprisingly few concussions.
Rugby players don't have helmets so they go out of their way to avoid head trauma and learn to tackle properly.
Yep, give the wife one job "just do everything important, I'm watching' TV"
It will be 110 metres, they will always measure in metres
Watch "Rugby explained for Football fans".
Try and watch Rugby Hits till I collapse
A player cannot tackle or impede a player who is not the ball carrier.
That is the reason why the British Lions No.15 could not tackle the All-Black player after he kicked the ball forward.
A penalty try would have been awarded and a yellow card, off the field for 10 mins, for the offending Lions player.
Meters not yards.
Its meters not yards 🫡
Tf is a touchdown
