The fact that Denis can’t understand how someone could genuinely cry over someone else’s trauma and thinks he’s using that person’s trauma, is quite telling and disturbing. It’s called empathy, Denis.
Papa Gut’s entire platform is about teaching men about real consent and just trying to coercing a woman to say yes as well, he’s taken down multiple predators on tiktok and takes any kind of assault really seriously, which made Def Noodles accusing him of this stuff so much worse. The picture of Papa Gut crying is him recalling something traumatic that happened to his wife, and Def made fun of that.
this is literally bullying. making t-shirts and everything, he was going out of his way to try and ruin this guys image cause he couldnt talk about some criticism.

He took the criticism. He just dished it out harder than he took it. That's how he is. These guys get butt hurt waaaay too easy. If you're on that platform you are subject to anything and everything. I'm not exactly saying that I agree with Dennis, I'm just saying that he shouldn't have to apologize just because some guy is butt hurt because of a joke in bad taste. You want to help him? Tell him to fire back even harder, quit crying and trying to get sympathy. Then we'll have plenty of fodder to watch and comment about. Won't that be great?

@@TaffyGreeZay harry styles consents to having his face put on a tshirt. his agency does that for him and he probably has a contract set in place for it. consent is a moral thing. just because they're public figures doesn't mean its morally correct. especially when the picture he used for the t-shirt was from a video recounting a loved ones SA story. a traumatic event that has to do with neither def noodles nor papagut, because THEY are not a public figure, therefore NO one has a right to make t-shirts/jokes about it. thats just downright evil. even if they were a public figure, it would still not make it okay. so just in the same way that you're allowed to have an opinion taffy, but doesn't mean that its not a stupid or an inconsiderate one.

i think it’s finally coming to light how truly immature and small dennis is. i don’t think anyone ever followed him for his “comedy” & i know i certainly didn’t. the only reason i followed him was he was giving pretty immediate news on big moments on the internet. he started to get… weird and more unstable. him not allowing anyone to speak and really grinding on the “IM A COMEDIAN” thing shines a lot on his character.

I’ve always hated the mindset that “it’s comedy there are no limits” because there are definitely “jokes” that really ARENT funny. I feel like a lot of people use that to mask the fact that they’re just being downright disrespectful and disgusting.

Agree. I'm definitely seeing a trend that this guy can take absolutely ZERO criticism from his peers. He can disregard small creators and comments because he doesn't care about their opinion, but anytime a person with a sizeable following speaks up, he completely loses it apparently. Dennis’s problem is he doesn’t acknowledge he’s not a comedy channel. He’s a drama channel that does things comedically. His comedy defense doesn’t work when the initial problem is he doesn’t cover topics accurately. His other problem and probably Dennis’s most defining problem is he too thinned skinned to take any criticism. From his first run in with Kavos to today Dennis cannot take the slightest implication he’s not funny.

This is exactly why I stopped following Dennis when he started up with the joke thing. It’s pretty clear that just says it’s a joke because he thinks it absolves him of criticism.
I don’t think any of his jokes are meant to be jokes until someone responds negatively. If they are, he needs to remember that comedy is like any other art, people have their right to have their own interpretations and critique can help you improve when you’re open to it.

I watched his videos casually before, recently I felt a little icky with some of Dennis' takes. It was more about poorly researched reporting on news, serious or not, with then shitting on the people in the stories for no reason at all. And this situation is just bizarre?! How does he imagine this to benefit him in any way?

I also unfollowed him a while ago because of the weirdly aggressive and insulting takes for no reason. Like I distinctly remember him going IN on Addison Rae for saying she loves herself? The whole Keemstar situation was my first inkling that something was going on with him, it's hard to out petty Keem, and even he tired of the drama long before Def N did.
He once had good takes, but now you can tell he avoids giving those takes because he knows those same observations can be applied to him now. For someone who seemed very aware of what the average person would think of certain things, he doesn't seem to be able to apply that same rational judgement towards himself. It screams hypocrite, which isn't good when half of his career was based on calling out hypocrisy.
Such a shame. Right before the Keem drama started, his tweets and videos were starting to become common references for even other creators, as for a while he was doing the digging to scoop big stories, to the point he would be the first to report on them right before they took off. It's hard to believe that's even the same person we are seeing now, and that's sad. He's spoke many times about how he doesn't like the focus of his content, but it's what get the views, maybe if he would have just stuck to what he was actually passionate about, we wouldn't be witnessing the prolonged meltdown we are seeing now, but honestly, it's impossible to really say for sure.

He seems like he might be a narc tbh he can’t self reflect or ever be wrong. He doesn’t seem to have empathy forwards others and is overly obsessed with the way people view him.
As a recent former fan, I should've taken stock in all the people who called him out over a year ago for the same behavior we are witnessing today. However, I wanted to give him a chance to grow the fuck up, but he clearly didn't do that.
Dennis cannot handle constructive criticism or taking responsibility for the messes he creates (on a side note, my heart already goes out to all the people he has dated and will date in the future). He absolutely cannot be wrong. Def Noodles was legitimately one of my favourite channels a year or so ago. I thought he was funny and he kept me up to date on all the dumb stuff happening in LA with influencers, whilst also covering some serious topics.
Now his videos are.... hard to watch. I don't use Twitter so having someone break down what he's doing on there is SO painful to watch. He's lost at least 6k subs in the last week and yet his daily videos aren't changing, so he clearly doesn't care. For a viewer like me, who doesn't REALLY give a crap about influencer news, but kind of wants to watch it every now and then just to be informed - tea/drama/news channels are a dime a dozen. Def has lost my views for sure.

What confuses me is why so many people thought Def Noodles was a good person before all of this happened. I mean, he was literally exposed years ago for exaggerating/literally making up lies about people in his "News" content, selecting people that he specifically didn't like that he would then make up lies about to ruin their reputation. His channel has been a slander machine for years and so many people have fallen for it, unfortunately
Well, to be fair, I used to follow him, but not years ago or anything like that. Idk much about these allegations, all I know is that most stuff he talked about in his videos had receipts to back up most the stuff he claimed. Now, he clearly was bias in all his vids, which I didn't mind, for I agree for example with his opinion on keem being an absolute disgrace to humanity and I enjoy defs rants about keem. However, ever since the "debate" with papagut, I just couldn't stomach his over the topness, english is not my first nor my second language, so I don't have a better way of describing it right now. At first he apologized after that horrible so called debate and I thought good he'a acknowledging things, but as it seems he continued spiraling out of control more and more. Highly disappointed he made a shirt on papagut crying, unbelievable. For someone claiming keem pushed edika over the edge, he should be careful not to have anything like that happening to his "victims"
I watched like one or two of his videos, didn’t even finish them, and immediately knew that I didn’t like that guy and that he was most likely a huge asshole… my gut instinct was right. I saw a few of his tweets a little later and it only confirmed my thoughts.
This is a really good summary. I watched Dennis to get the internet news, but even before this happened, his comedy was really getting on my nerves. It's all fUnNy VoIcEs and unfunny jokes that I skip through if they go on for too long. Then, I listened to the twitter spaces and WOW. He is still hurt from that horrible live stream he did (I never even saw the livestream or knew who Papa Gut was beforehand) and bottled up that anger for months. The podcast clips you showed are also just horrible (I didn't see those before), as he is dismissing the work Papa Gut does, as an advocate and voice for victims, and saying he was using the SA story for brownie points. NO, IT'S THE CONTEXT OF THE SHIRT YOU MADE. He literally only brought it up in that situation because Dennis profited off of him crying about his wife's SA. Someone also made the point that making fun of him crying in general is just playing into the stereotype that men should not express their emotions. It's also like... how can you see that everyone hates your joke (besides the yes men) and see the real-life effects it has on someone (like they are brought to tears) and laugh and relish in it all?? Also, he definitely saw the context. No way he did he get sent a clip where he was not talking and was just crying. And, he also kept saying "I don't watch videos, I don't watch your videos" over and over again and then one time he brought a somewhat obscure fact from a video and he caught himself and was like "one of the few videos I actually saw" - like he's obviously just lying. I'm never watching or consuming his stuff again.
His livestream today was a mess. I tried to ask him about his opinion on everything coming out about this, and dude snapped 🙃

Dennis used to come across as such a nice guy. It's starting to seem a lot like that nice guy stuff was all an act and what he's doing now is just straight up who he is. He's spiraling and really needs to take a break and rethink what he's doing with his career. So many people are in the comments of his videos now telling him to take a break and everything and Dennis just dismisses all of it. Seems Dennis just isn't a "good guy" and all the attention and the audience he was able to build went to his head.

I was one of the hundred club. I’ve been subbed since his 3rd episode. I was done the day he said he didn’t give a shit about us. The day he started to resemble Keemstar’s level of cringe and bullshittery. We didn’t leave because of his content pivot. A lot of us left because he has become unhinged. He couldn’t take the criticism and self imploded. I’m sad and upset I spent so much time on him and his channel, clicking ads to help him out, taking his side … only for him to say he doesn’t give a shit.

I stopped watching him for a weird reason. He mocked some girl for believing in ghost. I don't believe in ghost myself but it annoyed me how he was punching down on someone that was hurting nobody.

I used to watch def noodles but I stopped a good while ago. He started doing some questionable kind of toxic "jokes" a while back that rubbed me the wrong way. It really does not surprise me that this is who he truly is, a guy with bad jokes that doesn't understand the concepts oh empathy or human emotions. He understands why someone who communicates with a lot of victims to bring issues to light, like Papa Gut would have an issue being describe as looking as a p-word, Dennis isn't that stupid, he is doing it maliciously and trying to pretend it only a joke.

For the sunburn: aloe Vera with lidocaine. It's a green substance and just keep the bottle in the fridge. Careful around the eyes so you don't get it in your eyes but yeah... the lidocaine helps with the pain and the aloe Vera helps heal and with the peeling. If they don't have it there across the pond in stores try Amazon :) hope it helps!!

There's a possiblity that Dennis may literally be having a mental health crisis.
Dennis' recent behavior has a lot of similarities to unmedicated mania. I don't know if he's mentioned any bipolar diagnosis in the past, I rarely watched Def Noodles. Unless Dennis has mentioned having been diagnosed with bipolar previously, there's no way to know if that's what's going on. But I see a lot of red flags.
Dennis' social media activity, across several platforms, seems to have had a sudden increased in activity lately. Even down to the fact that he's literally designing new merch for his channel of Papa Gut crying. Plus his daily uploads. Plus his podcast on the other channel. Plus apparently blowing up Twitter with new tweets about this whole situation.
Plus Dennis had his 6-hour long conference calls on Twitter. Hosting a roast battle for a $15 per person, challenging people to roast him in person, offering to fly people in to roast him.
He's tweeted the FBI for fuck sake! Dennis knows (or should know) that he's misrepresenting Papa Gut's quote. The feds aren't as gullible as Dennis' average YT subscriber. The Feds would pull up Papa Gut's original tweet and see the full context of the one-liner quote that Dennis supposedly thinks is the smoking gun for why Papa Gut should be on a federal watchlist.
None of his current behavior seems to include rational, deliberate thought.
For example, unless Dennis has become a US citizen recently, I can't imagine why a Brazilian national-- even a completely legally documented, law-abiding immigrant-- would want to draw the attention of *THE FBI* over a bad one-liner that Papa Gut said back in the day... He just put a giant spotlight on himself BY TWEETING THE FEDS over something as insignificant as what-- a bruised ego after losing his debate with Papa Gut? Attention-seeking behavior to increase exposure for his channel? It ain't worth it.
Dennis is losing subs at an alarming rate and he's essentially tweeting, "Don't let the door hit you on your way out!"
It could be stress. Could be a manic episode. Could be stimulant abuse-- not likely, but it's possible. Or he could be intentionally trolling all of us, like Trisha Paytas, just to keep everyone talking about him-- so he stays relevant.
The only thing that's for certain is he's fucking himself over with this approach. If he doesn't get his shit together soon, he might not have much of a channel to come back to.
He was born in New Jersey, he’s been a citizen his entire life. There is a 1 hour stream on Xylie’s channel where she and Paige Christie go over a bunch of Dennis’ history that they dug up. Dennis is 10 years older than the internet says he is. Idk if he’s lying, but he’s never corrected the record.

I know Def Noodles because I went to School with him. I can tell you for a fact that he was bullied at school and sometimes these things stick. It is evident he is defensive because it's in his nature/ in his past. Trauma sticks unless we do the work.

But I guess it makes sense coming from a wounded person who doesn't quite love himself fully. Hence he projects it onto people he doesn't even know in person. It's sad but I hope he recovers. He was actually really nice to me during school.

I slowly stopped watching Dennis a couple months ago. I honestly only watched him because he posted in the mornings and was quick to put out information on things happening online. never cared for his takes at comedy, but I still watched. I'm not surprised that he is digging his own grave tbh.

Def was one of my favorites. I remember when he seemed to sort of get, idk, angrier? And then that debate happened and it was very cringey. Then he did an apology video where he seemed pretty self aware, and I was like ah okay, respect. I did end up unsubbing a while after, so I missed all of this current drama but damn. I hope whatever is making him so angry, that he thinks treating people like this is okay- that he has it addressed.

I really enjoyed his content for several years, even when he pulled away from Minecraft cat. Even when he got more "vloggy" with stuff, there was still some decent sarcastic humor talking about really petty news that made me forget about bigger issues for 20 minutes. It seems like he isn't quite used to no longer feeling on a leash, and now he's just making awful decisions. I hope he takes several steps back from the channel, listens to his viewers' concerns, and find a happy medium that let's him feel less restricted without unnecessarily stirring the pot.
Stopped watching Def Noodles a while ago when his ego went crazy and he started believing he was a star. He is about to implode and will now fade from view. Nobody will remember him in a year's time.
