Oh my gosh guys - what a fab video of your stay with us! Loved having you!! Great video editing Will! - Chica. PS âResupplyâ (is the word for all encompassing hiker food). :)
Glad I had the opportunity to hear your story. It is inspiring to see you enjoying life, especially together. Keep living the dream!
I thought y'all were hiking the PCT this year.
We are hiking the PCT. We donât leave until mid-May though.
Sunshine and captain.. the AT videos are fantastic! Great storytelling and videos. Both of you are doing a fabulous job documenting your journey in the AT. Very entertaining. Really enjoying this content
Thanks so much. When we are done, we will have this to look back on. The effort is so worth it.
Love seeing Chica and sunsets again. Hope you liked the Lolli pop.
Thanks for the lolli pops, we each had one. ..such a treat.
It's funny because you getting emotional over your diner food reminded me so strongly of a chapter of Bryson's "A Walk in the Woods" where he has the same reaction to a lemon meringue pie in a diner. When I went to check, at this point he on almost exactly the same part of the AT as you guys are on! They had just left Dicks Creek Gap:
""Dessert was of course the highlight. Everyone on the trail dreams of something, usually sweet and gooey, and my sustaining vision had been an outsized slab of pie. It had occupied my thoughts for days, and when the waitress came to take our order I asked her, with beseeching eyes and a hand on her forearm, to bring me the largest piece she could slice without losing her job. She brought me a vast, viscous, canary-yellow wedge of lemon pie. It was a monument to food technology, yellow enough to give you a headache, sweet enough to make your eyeballs roll up into your head -- everything, in short, you could want in a pie so long as taste and quality didnât enter into your requirements."
Ha, well I am a foodie so this trail food is just boring for me so getting off trail and eating good stuff makes me so happy.
been meaning to suggest to you: that little bidet cap thing is GREAT - I have one - but a bit tight to stick in a bottle - I found the Evian water bottles are a tad bigger than the others so I use one of their 6 inch tall size bottles for my bidet and just keep it 1/2 full so is light to carry - I use it at home too - gets you clean! Love watching your videos - love your attitude - is infectious.
Thanks. I have used it once, but not again until it gets warmer. Cold butt is not good.
@@WorldTowning Oh yea, forgot about that. It can be a bit of a shocker of cold even at home! It's easy to turn on the warm water to use at home! :)
We call it a Flip Flop instead of a yoyo. That's what we're planning to do in a couple of years. The trail association is promoting it for lower crowds, and less wear on the trail. Plus you get to hit most of the ideal weather for each section, and there isn't the fear of Katahdin closing before you make it. The Flip Flop traditionally begins on Trail Days in Damascus. Are you going? We will be there this year! (also we're viewers from way back to mid-Lemonade days)
We are trying to figure out if we can do Trail Days. We want to. We fly back from Largo's exams on that Friday so will likely go Saturday and then get back on the trail Sunday. I will share it on the vlogs if we will be there. We are thinking of doing a meet-up.
@@WorldTowning fingers crossed! It would be great to say hello.

You are so welcome
You know the saying âlife is short-eat the cake!â
exactly! I am plan on eating all the cake between Georgia and Maine.
Chica and Sunsets are awesome. They really do support hikers. You chose a great place for a zero day.
Yep, we love them.
I LOVE your videos. You are AMAZING people. I'm excited about watching them. I look for your new video every day. Thank you for sharing your journey in every way. â€
Thank you so much! Happy to have you here.
You got a "Resupply" đ found your channel a few days ago and am enjoying your style! Me and my daughter section hike the AT for the last 4 yrs. I stayed at Chica and Sunsets last month to do trail magic in Wayah Bald. it was an awesome place. Happy Trails!
Welcome aboard! Love Chica and Sunsets, glad you liked it too.
Oh I think your hike is a lot harder than Camino for sure.
It is, but both are cool hikes.
You two are doing great. Enjoyed hearing the back story of Chica and Sunsets.
Thanks so much! Yeah, they are great.
Itâs amazing that they can live off the 6 months of income of a 4 bed hostel as nice as it is.
I don't know there situation, but most people who live an alternative lifestyle have multiple streams of income and live frugal.
Cross-CZcams Channelization! I started following Chica and Sunsets when they did the AT. I found out about your guys channel when they mentioned your Camino hike.
Itâs crazy how this life works. This is definitely proof that we live in a small world.
Wow Iâd love a trip around the world w/ you. Gotta look that up. I did go back 8 years & a couple of 7 yrs on your CZcams just to see what Largo looks like as a kid. You look the same & your daughter grew up precious too. Your husband got gray but travel treats you well.
Awh, thanks for going in the way back machine, crazy life, right? So fun.
AwesomeâŠ.Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Cute editing on the video. Emotions hit everyone on the AT.
They sure do.
Franklin is a great little town. Safe travels.
It was so cute!
Good morning! đ
Good morning!

We are a bit behind on the edits and beyond Georgia now!

That's it. Ugh so much different terminology in all our adventures. It is like learning a new language everytime we try something new.
A wise 16 year old.
he sure is.
