The hamster thing is a running joke throughout the show. Every time a character imagines their life together with their crush they’ll always mention something about a hamster that’s named… but they always get cut off before they say the name.

Miraculous is one of those shows that you genuinely have NO IDEA what to expect from at any given moment. It can go to sickeningly fluffy to psychedelic crack to deeply disturbing and emotional in the blink of an eye. An absolute rollercoaster. And I couldn't look away even if I wanted to.
As someone who was obsessed with this show for years, I don't think context makes it much better I mean... I literally stopped watching it like a year ago bc it was messing with my mental health lmao

One bit of context. The two of them do not know the other's secret identity, which leads to a weird romantic issue. Because Adrian likes Maronette as a friend, but is in love with Ladybug. Meanwhile, Maronette works well with Cat Nori, although she gets exasperated with his flirting at times, but is in love with Adrian.
And then, in the latest season, the opposite is true...

Hexagon? If you count Marinette, Ladybug, Multimouse and Marino with Adrien, Chat Noir, Aspik and Catwalker, that’s a love octagon with 15 distinct ships.
Aspik/Ladybug doesn’t count because they both know that they both know Aspik is Adrien, so it’s really just Ladrien. Aspik/Multimouse _does_ count because even though they both know they’re Adrien and Marinette, they think the other one doesn’t know, so they function as different personas.

AT LONG LAST!! There’s genuinely multiple moments that are out of context even if you’ve seen the whole show 😭 it adds to the charm I think
The constipation pills was because Marinette had three notes. One was a love note written to Adrien from Marinette, the second was a love note and apology for a lady in the park she was supposed to deliver, and the last note was a prescription she was supposed to pick up for the guy who asked her to deliver the letter. (It’s a really long story) Marinette accidentally gave her love note to the lady in the park (she went all super villain but whatever) She gave the prescription to Adrien and the love note to the woman in the park to the pharmacist. Adrien was very confused but picked up the prescription for her when he got back from his trip.
1 minute in and I'm already giving a thumbs up. Not only is it amusing when you react to something you have never seen before, but the way you describe your thoughts is great. That's probably why this is one of those channels I keep coming back to.

As a watcher of the show the whole show is out of context
The shows creator is something else, too: He has a self insert character in the show who whines about being underappreciated; and in one season, the blonde girl gets some character development, but he just decided to stop that and revert her the next season, because she is based on someone he disliked.
He also created a really weird sexual (and racist) comic about marinette, and supports pr0n made of his child characters

With the statue thing, they were on a field trip to a wax museum (I don’t even know why) and Adrien decided to prank her by pretending to be a wax statue. He was probably going to jump scare her. I assume the reason he stayed still when it got awkward was he wanted to pretend it never happened. Of course it made things pretty awkward between them but Marinette decided to cover up by saying that she knew it was him and /she/ was trying to prank him.
It wasn't a field trip. Adrien was invited there after hours because the museum was making a wax statue of him and they needed some extra measurements or a 3d scan or whatever, and then his friends tagged along t keep him company... I think he specifically invited just Nino, right? But Alya came with Nino, and Alya tempted Marinette into going along as well so that Marinette could try for the millionth time to confess her love to Adrien. And Marinette was babysitting at the time so Manon got dragged along as well. (That was the Puppeteer episode, I think?)
But yeah, so much awkwardness when the episode got to that part.
My bad, I’ve only watched a few episodes here and there.

You explained that beautifully. Again and again, the show sets up something that could be amazing only to drop it for no reason, including what they do with Cat Noir.
That was only really a big problem in season 4 and they fixed it in season 5

This is a weird one. It’s like an anime but done in 3D. The premis is that these two kids, Adrian and Marinnete are given these two creatures that grant them superpowers, the ladybug representing creation, and the cat being destruction. The villain of the show, Halkmoth, AKA Adrian’s dad, wants them because when combined they grant him power beyond imagination, and uses his own creature to create supervillains to hunt them down. The love plot is that Marinette is in love with Adrian, but Adrain dosent know Marinette too wel, but Adrain is in love with Ladybug, who is also Marinette, but Marinette finds Catnoir obnoxious. And thus the viscous cycle begins. It’s a very episodic show, the first season is rather repetitive, but it dose a good job at laying down the foundation for the show.

After S2, things got... complicated to say the least, so there's a lot of controversy and division between the fandom's opinions. You may not want to dive into those waters.

You were right about her powers being taken after ladybugs! Ladybugs are known to grant wishes, that was one of the reasons I enjoyed collecting those creepy little things as a kid! Cats are stereotypically destructive, knocking things off counters and such (although I've only ever seen a dog do that). I never really thought about how the powers took after the kwami's form in this! The horse can teleport, they are a fast mode of transportation. The fox can change how things are perceived, those cute things are tricksters at heart! It's a bit of a stretch for some of them, but omg!
There’s also superstition that plays into their powers! Ladybugs are meant to signal good luck, which is why she has a lucky charm. Black cats are superstitiously dangerous if you come across one, which ties into destruction!

There's a lot of lore to this show, not really at first, but as the show went on, there started to be. "Spots On" is how she turns into Ladybug, and "Claws Out" is how he turns into Cat Noir. it started with just the two being superheroes, but as time went on, most of the kids in this show became heroes. they each have superpowers too, Ladybug's power is the Lucky Charm, which gives her a random object to help her defeat the villain of the show. Cat Noir's power is Cataclysm, a power that lets him destroy anything his claws touch. Adrien's dad is the main bad guy, even though no one knows that he is, his name is Hawk Moth but changed his bad guy name every season. he has the power to turn people into supervillains, and he wants the Miraculous for himself, the things that turn Adrien and Marinette into superheroes. first, it was because he wanted to rule the world, but that plan changed as more lore was added. I won't say why he wants it now because that would be a spoiler. I hope I covered everything; I think that's pretty much it.

For some explanation, the cat-thing (Plagg) is not crushing on him, Adrien was put under an enchanted sleep by a villain, and Plagg thought that maybe if he kissed Adrien that he would wake up and become Cat Noir, but the spell wore off before he actually kissed Adrien.

The show is actually pretty good(except for maybe Season 3 or 4) but it can get _very_ weird.
There is a pretty complex lore about sentimonsters which are basically beings created with one of these jewels the main villain has, the animation is good most of the time, the music is well made but the show isn't really well-known for that(except for one specific song called "In The Rain").
I've recently returned to the series and Season 5 has been great! No filler, just straightforward plot unlike the other seasons and i like that they did that(but the finale let me down a bit).
Consider watching a few episodes.
Btw i don't know how and why but the first ever aired episode "Stormy Weather" is still one of the most well made episodes. They wanted to make a banger beginning and they sure did it.
But "Chat Blanc" and "Emotion" will always be my favorite episodes.
I also have a little suggestion, consider listening to Longestsoloever's original songs, they're absolute bangers.

Tbh, season 4 and 5 are better than the rest of the seasons.
In my opinion, Season 1-3 were pretty slow, but they really made you like the show an characters. The dynamics between characters were definitely better in those seasons since they more time to shine than in season 4 and 5, but the last two seasons have been very exciting plot wise, especially season 5 (season 4 had LB and CN fighting the whole time almost like they barely knew each other and it never really resolved??? I don't know, I almost gave up on the show until the season 4 finale drew me back in). But yeah, season 5 is so exciting plot wise, but sometimes, especially with LB and CN the banter just isn't the same as in the earlier seasons. 😔 I agree that they kind of dropped the ball with Chloe. She's so two-dimensional now it's kind of annoying. She really didn't even need to be redeemed, just for her arc to make her more of a threat than a school bully. Oh well, still love the show (like, look at my profile pic 😂) and am very, very excited for the movie in July. Maybe the execution will be a little better pacing wise.

@@thisperson8441 They didn't screw anyone over, just because they give her a sad backstory doesn't meant she was gonna redeem herself, she was a bitch multiple times by choice, her mother is awful, yes, but you can choose who you want to be, both Mari and Adrien gave her many chances, both as heroes and as civilians. I honestly was one of the people who wanted a redemption arc for her back in the day, but now, I love the way they tricked the audience, cause not every villain deserves a redemption, that's something we've already seen too much on television, sometimes you try your best to be friends with someone and empathize with them but they will continue being toxic, mean or whatever they are, and you need to know what people deserve your time and who don't , and when to cut your relationship with them and value yourself. That's what they did with Chloe, the people who are mean will have a reason why they're mean, but that doesn't justify their behavior. So I'm sorry but I'm gonna applaud the show for showing this.

I’m ashamed to say that I’m 22 years old and I’ve been watching Miraculous Ladybug faithfully since it came out. It sometimes drives me nuts but I feel you should give it a chance
I'm going to give you some lore context about the show:
There are magical creatures called kwamis, and each of them represents a concept, like passion, determination, derision, beauty, math, etc. When the abstract concept of them appears, the kwami is born. Tikki (Ladybug's kwami) is the kwami of creation and was the first one to be born in the universe, with the Big Bang. Though the kwamis were not tangible creatures at the beginning, but a wizard discovered centuries ago a way to create some special jewels, the Miraculous, so the kwamis were able to communicate and and assist humans.
Since the miraculous started to exist, humans started wearing them as heroes and protectors of their time, they say a special phrase and they'll transform. Each kwami has a special power related to their concept, when they use it without a wearer, the concequences are cathastrophic, they're really powerful and out of control. When they're transformed with a human, they channel the power through them and is more restricted and actually manageable. The thing is that the kwami needs energy to be able to fusion themselves with the human and let them use the special ability, they use the energy their wearer generates.
If the one using them is a teen/kid, they don't generate enough energy, and can only use the special power 1 time per transformation, after using it, they'll de transform after 5 minutes, if it's an adult, they create enough energy to keep using the powers without restrictions. Though you always need to feed the kwami after transforming, no matter if you're an adult or child.
The kwami of the Ladybug, Tikki, represents Creation, and the miraculous of the Cat, Plagg, represents Destruction. They are the most powerful kwamis,and if you get a hold of both of them, you're able to make an ultimate wish. Hawk Moth (the villain) wants that power for their own, and is using the power of a miraculous that he found long time ago (the miraculous just so happened to be lost) to try and take the miraculous of Ladybug and Chat Noir, but they're here to stop him every time for 5 seasons and more to come, all filled with adventures, love, trauma and a lot of drama.

It’s hard to watch this show because I get second hand embarrassment from marinette doing literally everything. She’s basically a stalker and gets herself into every bad situation possible
I was a fan for a while and then realized how disturbing marinette's actions concerning her crush on adrian are. The worst thing is that for a while I thought it was normal, but they just executed it in a cringe way and I felt weird about it because of that. Plus chloe's character asassination was annoying.
Yeah, it's one thing to be awkward around your crush it's another thing to like plan their 35 birthday gifts.
They actually did explain this in a recent episode. Let's just say... she has her reasons, and it is trauma related.

I think out of context videos suit you for Miraculous. After maybe three or four you'll be at the same level of understanding as actual viewers of the show because let me tell you, we also barely understand what's going on 😭 It doesn't help that the show was _fine_ for the first two seasons, maybe even the third, but decided it didn't want to be that and so struggled to find its footing from the specials before and after season 3 up until now in season *_5_* where important stuff is either being rushed through so they can get to the good parts or being poorly handled, leaving viewers unsatisfied :/
Eh, not all the viewers are unsatisfied, I really like the seasons 4 and 5, it feels like the show is finally going somewhere.
@@albanewest2361 I'm aware some viewers are fine with how the show is written, I just see past all the cool stuff being brought up. The writing is still poor quality and it negatively impacts my enjoyment :/ It's written this way to _feel_ like it's going somewhere without actually going too far from what it was before and it's annoying because we've already spent three seasons doing absolutely nothing and now S4+5 are just inching along but in a way that makes it feel like it's sprinting.
As someone who has been with this show for about 7 years, I miss all this goofy no plot progression episodes because the new season (which is arguably the best one) has a lot of plot but is significantly darker with heavy themes for a kids show
Because they grow up with their public. And they discovered that adults watched the show, so they matured season after season.

He is an amazing guitarrist, and an even more amazing person.And he likes Marinette, the protagonist.But Marinette is obsessed with Adrien(Who also is really great, but that's not the point).And Marinette spends the whole episode putting Adrien in a pedestal in front of him, even in that scene where they are asking for a guitarrist ans she offers Adrien except of Luka who is literally right there!!
The poor guy is constantly witnessing those kind of things and he is like "If that's what she likes, I'm glad to step aside just to make her happy" ❤What a gigachad
As someone who was a singer in a community play of “Hadestown”, she was just flat out rude. If you think someone else can do a better job, try it yourself. He also probably knows how to sing, dance, and perform in general so she’s just a selfish dick to the band.

Context on the constipation tablets: She declared her love in a letter to Adrian. She also was given a prescription slip so she could help pick up someone else's medication for them. The papers get mixed up and she gives the prescription slip to him thinking its the letter with a line about how theres something she needs and can only get it from him. She thinks shes being so poetic about her love for him. He doesn't know why shes coming to him with her medication needs but just decides to roll with it and go out of his way to get her the medication.
