Gorgeous movie. Yeah, it's a journey into insanity and death, but man--beautifully photographed! The color palette changes from yellow to blue to neutral wonderfully.
If they had just made the C card overlay a full O card slipcover that would have helped a lot with the packaging aspect.
If you turn it upside down you see Marlon brando on the cover
I noticed that when I was recording the unboxing part.
Love this movie so much. Picked myself up a copy at best buy and I've already watched the original and heart of darkness. Cant wait to watch redux and final cut cuz I've never seen either
Pass on the redux version. Just adds unnecessary content.
Honestly I have always thought the Theatrical cut was best of Apocalypse Now.

All of you better watch all 3 versions because stores only allow returns before 30 days of purchase. I had to return mine twice.
I saw the theatrical cut when I was 19 and I thought it was a masterpiece and I still do ! The redux was interesting to watch but it was sort of like dumbing down the original. I'm looking forward to viewing the Final Cut.
It definitely LIGHTENED UP the original with much humor. Whether that humor is a good or bad thing is debatable.
This is one of the most iconic movies ever released. Just like you said it grows on you as you get older. I grew up on this movie as a kid. Watched it on cable TV and many times on edited TV broadcast. VHS DVD and Blu-ray.
This movie is top 10 in my book.

I have this on VHS, DVD and BluRay my favourite film of all time saw it in the cinema 1979 and i was stunned, weird thing on my VHS tape it has Willard as a Lieutenant not Captain

Saw it last time 2001 at theater + 2019 twice at DOLBY CINEMA + another Laser projection theater and both times with DOLBY ATMOS and 1x with DOLBY VISION HDR, ATMOS was great and black as deep as possible, i still like the Redux better because the rain chopper playmate scene is missing + another day time shot of Marlon Brando
What about that new sensual sound?
RICCIMAN PRODUCTIONS I believe the sensual sound on this was primarily the LFE channel. It’s said the producers wanted to do so much more to have a bigger impact with bass alone, in 1979 the technology just wasn’t there. So hoped to you having a solid subwoofer, and foundations😂😂😂
The sensual sound was incredible. You have to have a good subwoofer though otherwise it’s completely wasted. I used a svs pb ultra 16 and the movie rattled my insides 😂
Multiplayers I managed to secure this movie with a steelbook case, but a couple of days after it arrived i was due to go on a lengthy vacation. So my entire home theatre is packed and stored in a secure unit. I will have to wait to watch it. I have dual XTZ cinema series 1x12 subwoofers which are just insane. I can’t wait😂👍🏻
Duane Bennett your going to love it. The napalm strike and incredible waves of pressure during helicopter village attack. 🔊😳. Plus so many very subtle moments throughout the movie. 😎
Multiplayers oh stop it, your teasing me now and I’m thousands of miles away from even my remote controls. 😂😂😂.
