    Anyone else ever notice this series has a thing for blimps? Raleigh’s hideout? Blimp, The Contessa’s getaway vehicle? A blimp, the entire final level of Sly 2? Takes place on a blimp, when you fight Dr. M in sly 3, what do have to take down? A blimp, what does Le Paradox hide out in in Sly 4? A blimp. I’m currently playing through the series again right now and it’s just something I noticed while playing.
    Also on a side note if Sly 5 ever happens, do you think there should be a prologue section where we play as sly when he was a kid and we actually get to play out the cookie heist? I actually think that would be kind of cool but I would like to hear what you think about that as possibility
    (Oh, and there are also 2 other missions in Sly 3 that involve dealing with blimps! One in Flight of Fancy and the other in Opera of Fear)

    Thanks for making this video VTNVIVI, it really helped me with the bosses, now I can beat them first try! I also have a tip for the grizz, whenever the walls appear if there are two ice blocks one wall away from each other you can hit the middle of the ice blocks (the wall in between the two ice blocks) and it will break both of the ice blocks. That's a lot of ice blocks I've said!😂

    Last week, I was just chilling on YT and I saw a old video from ~2013 on Thieves in times (from an old French channel that broadcast montages with music (GameOneMusicHD), that brought me the attention on all the universe of Sly Cooper, and I wasn't expecting that much 😲 I mean, I just fall on one of your video about Sly, and every night, same routine, look at all your video about Sly for arround 2/3h hours. The work you pull into it is very big and consequent, all the theories, story .... are very well done. That really put me in this beautiful world, and it's pretty cool. You give me you make me want to start all the games again, and then wait patiently for the next one, while keeping hope, and watching your videos. Keep working like this, it's very good !

    For the Penolope versus Bentley boss fight all I did was the super. The thing about it is you have to have a full meter. That means no dodging. You can dodge when necessary. But don’t do it repeatedly. The super does a lot of damage and she moves slowly as well. What I did was I stayed away from her. The super can go at her from pretty much anywhere in that arena they are fighting in which means you can just stay away from her and deal damage with the super. I played the thing once and that’s exactly what I did.

      Also for a review on my first Sly Cooper game, I loved it. I am a FPS player and I found this game simple yet difficult. I liked that difficulty. To be honest, I need to do the Murray dance and the Carmelita belly dance more to get better at doing those things cuz I feel like I did terrible, tho I didn’t drain my health bar on those. Also how do you get that outfit for everyone? Like the secret outfits.

  • @whitebeardfanboy4692
    @whitebeardfanboy4692 Před 4 lety

    The Grizz was for me the hardest boss fight. It was also, in my opinion, the worst boss fight of the game. All the other bosses ironically enough were about equally difficult for me (4 tries or so each). The only exception was the final boss which I finished in two tries. My favorite was definitely Miss Decibel.
    I would suggest a Top 10 favorite bosses from the series video because I'm curious about what they are for you. Anyway cool video man.

  • @tabreezsiddique
    @tabreezsiddique Před 4 lety

    Here's my list;
    7 - Le Paradox - Nice visuals but not enough for me to appreciate the boss fight at all since it's just an extended quick time event, granted they used QTEs a lot in the game up to this point but they're just so boring, redundant and overdone.
    6 - Miss Decibel - Like that this boss fight includes a lot of platforming and avoiding her attacks are pretty challenging, but what kills it for me would be the length. This boss fight just outstays it's welcome for me having too many phases for a Sly Cooper boss fight for me.
    5 - The Grizz - I like this boss fight in a way, feels like a combination of General Tsao's 2nd boss fight from the 3rd game crossed with Dingodile's boss fight from the 3rd Crash Bandicoot game with a sprinkle of QTEs. I honestly couldn't tell whether or not this boss fight included ice physics since the series has never used ice physics at all to my recollection and if this boss fight did use it, it would explain why it kind of felt disorienting for me when avoiding his attacks up to the walls sections, hence why I won't rank it any higher.
    4 - Toothpick - Interesting ideas, like how much of a challenge it is to avoid his attacks until he's open which is nice and all but it doesn't leave me with much to say about this fight.
    3 - The Black Knight - Cool platforming and great use of the Archer Outfit (one of the better if not the best outfit of the game in my opinion), really engaging second phase for the boss fight when playing as Bentley too.
    2 - Moat Monster - This boss fight really was impressive. It's disappointing that they didn't utilise Carmelita's Gameplay enough in the game since a lot of the added power-ups they gave her would've made for really interesting combat for her if they used her Gameplay a lot and this boss fight is a great example of that with multiple phases, each phases getting more and more challenging and harder to avoid the attacks as well as making use of the shock pistol for more then just attacking the weak spots of the boss like shooting the smaller guys and incoming missiles. This was also the first bit of her Gameplay they had revealed back in 2012 which left me craving for more of that in the game.
    1 - El Jefe - Yeah, this one right here is the one I'd personally rank as the best. A lot of challenging platforming involved where you need to avoid his attacks whilst trying to reach him, same goes for when you're face to face with him (pun not intended BTW since the actual level here is called "Face-To-Face"), nice to see the Samurai Armour getting a lot of use in these phases too since it has not one but two uses in this whole fight, keeping you protected from the large fire waves and deflecting fireballs at him. There's about as much difficulty put to this fight as there was in the other ones that's close to this spot but another reason why I ranked it as the best is because there's so much put to the presentation of the whole fight to the point where it's actually easier to appreciate it whilst I'm in the fight. This is also the very first bit of Gameplay they had revealed back in mid 2011 when the game was revealed which helped to bring the hype up when the game was announced.
    (Although one thing about this fight is that there's a trophy where you'd need to beat El Jefe without taking damage which sounds like it would have enough of a challenge to get it and be difficult ... until you find out that there's an option in the pause menu that lets you restart from the last checkpoint meaning if you take damage, you can just pick that option and restart from the previous save point and the damage you took won't count at all. You can also do this for the other phases too and this is also how I got the trophy myself when I played the game for the first time so ... yeah.)

    That El Jefe boss was literally fire 🔥
    And while I do respect your opinion I have to say that I didn't realize see any challenge to the other boss fights in the game. All the other boss fights was just the game telling you how to beat them instead of trying to figure it out on your own. I didn't really like the whole "use the suits to defeat your opponent" thing. While they are kinda fun and hilarious but it still didn't feel the same as the old ones.
    #1: El Jefe) as I said up top, that El Jefe boss was lit 🔥👌
    #2: Toothpick) He basically falls for the same exact trick over and over again. He doesn't change tactics at all. He just use his regular standard attacks and then just stands there and waits for you to sound the whistle like an idiot. *¯\_(ツ)_/¯*
    #3: Grizz) I expected the Murray and Grizz boss fight to be like a hand to hand fist fight 👊💪. But instead we got an endless phase of dodging, throwing ice cubes and silly ice skating. That's it.🤷‍♂️
    #4: Penelope/ Black Knight) Penelope was actually kinda fun and challenging but I expected the boss fight to mostly be centered on her fighting Bentley. 🐢 *vs* 🐁
    #5: Ms Decibel) This boss fight was kinda just a chase sequence. All you have to do is chase her, dodge her, and smack her in the face when she gets dizzy. That is all. 🐘💨😫
    Final boss: Le Paradox) This boss fight was utter boring. I remember playing it for the first time and realizing how easy it was. Once I beat it I was like "That's it? That's the final boss? That was just a bunch of cheap quick time button mashing! *Grrrrrrrrr Sly 4 betrayed us!!!!* (That was just a SpongeBob reference. I just wanted to throw in a little humor while posting this comment)
    But seriously this game kinda disappointed me with boss fights by turning each of them into cartooney puzzles. In my eyes that's not what Sly Cooper is known for. The other 3 previous games had quite enjoyable boss fights compared to this.
    I like how the old Sly Cooper boss fights were. In the first game they were kinda puzzling. Especially the Ms Ruby boss fight when you had to react to everyone of her movements.
    The second game boss's wasn't really puzzling. They were just straight up fights. Dimitri's boss fight was straight up kicking his ass and that goes for Rajan's and Contessa's boss fights as well. Jean Bison was just a straight up idiot for falling for the same trick over and over again. And the Clock-La boss fight was just a repeat of the Clockwork boss fight in Sly 1. Tho I have to admit, as a kid it was challenging at first.
    In Sly 3 The boss fights just center on the player literally encountering opponents that change tactics during their boss fights. And I am mostly defending Sly 3 because their boss fights are the most memorable part of my childhood. Especially Octavio, Black Baron/ Penelope, General Tsao ( I think that's how you spell it) and Dr M especially.
    But overall I do agree and respect your opinion on the Sly 4 boss fights. Sorry for posting this long comment. I just admire your videos just as much as I admire Sly Cooper as a kid.
