- This tutorial will cover the first step of a typical first person level design process: sketch & layout. I am drawing from my previous experience in both architecture and level design. I will also share some of the common roles that are involved when it comes to creating a level in a game studio. I am using Unity game engine to illustrate this process throughout this tutorial series, however some of the fundamental concepts can be applied to any other game engine.

What aspects of Level Design that you guys would be interested to learn? Let me know and I'll try to slot it in for future videos 🎥
New to the channel, but I'd like to see a video on team based FPS level design (i.e. King-of-the-Hill, Capture the Flag, Payload, etc)
Pretty good advice, because I usually just starts modelling and ending up with no clear goals...
I just wanna thank you from Brazil, Rubens!

Nice video mate. how is going with the refactor? :)
Going a bit slow, some of the code I am referencing is incomplete 😅
Where's part 2?
Question I wanna be a level designer where I make the level the player will play in will I need to learn how to draw first please respond thx.
You need to be able to at least sketch out your ideas. You don't really need drawing skills (although that would be an advantage).
Sketching is merely you scribbling without having it to look pretty, while drawing is a more carefully constructed piece of art. Sketching allows you to explore ideas as well as assisting you to share/communicate your ideas better with your team.
