I just bought a Morgan and peace proof dollar (23) to add to my current coins last month
I bought them because I like them and honestly I don't expect to make a profit from purchasing them.
In fact the day they become profitable especially at these prices we'll be living in a mad max scenario

The example you showed of the 2023 s reverse proof set proof 70 was $324.99. I bought a Proof 70 set last year for $399. Prices have definetly dropped.
Buying all again this year. The EBay sales don't bother me at all. Mainly because the many ounces of gold I purchased for $1,800.00 an ounce about the same time I ordered the silver from the mint are doing so fine.....🤑!
I don't think people are buying them up as much because they rather have the older peace and Morgan dollars... if they're going to mint them every year then it's not like a special occasion coin it's just them restarting up the Morgan and Peace dollars again and nobody's really going to buy them up... I'm not buying them I'm still buying the old Morgans and Peace dollars... I didn't even buy the 2023 one
They ruined it by making it an annual release!! I really think we were scammed by the mint by not telling us it was going to be annually released before hand!

I considered the 2023 Reverse Proof Set to be "special" when I first heard about it. I was excited to have one. Then I discovered it was to be an annual product of the U.S. Mint. That pretty much took all the fun out of it for me. Nothing special or unique about these coins. I sold my 2023 set and I won't buy one in 2024.

I remember at the 2023 FUN in Orlando, the line of people for pre-orders was nuts! I just went on my way and bought generic rounds at spot.
I have 2 complete sets of the 2023 peace and morgan dollars in 70 condition. One is cacg and the other is pcgs. I would like to get an ncg set in the future. Time will tell.
They're going to drag it on and on and on. The two piece reverse proof.
I will probably buy the 2924 Morgan and Peace dollar - one of each for my collection. I see no reason the 2024 silver dollars will become more desirable than the 2023 coins unless there is some kind of error or condition consideration.
Your spot on S.W. the rev proof set should have been one and done. The only way the mint could have saved this set was to make a Denver set and a 25 west point set and so on. A special set for 26 .

I think the mint disgraced these the memory of these coins, maybe they farmed it out to the Franklin mint to sell on HSN.
They have pissed me off by not telling us that it is going to be a annual event i was led to believe that they were one and done definitely by the pricing the two coin set

Yes, he means those. You know, the ones that circulated, got scooped with coal shovels, were melted under the Pittman Act. The ones with character, and true condition rarities.
@creativity.studio4967 yep,exactly. The ones that I bought between $13 and $18 ,all AU conditon. Over 100yrs old with numismatic and historical value. Check out their prices now. They wil stay in my stash and be handed down. I have plenty of .999 silver to sell when the time comes 😎
@@jisskk28 - I like my 2021 Morgans and Peace dollars with mintages similar to the very rare 1916-D Mercury dimes. Some of the old Morgans had 15-20 million minted! No numismatic value at all in worn condition.
They should have kept the minting of the reverse proof set at around 100,000
The low mintage would have been nice, but I suspect there are probably more than that already on subscription.
Not sure how these guys are selling on eBay under mint prices, but it works for me. I got some NGC and PCGS slabs and cracked them out to put in my Dansco album.

I think I'll be out this year for any of them. The Morgan and Peace dollar commemoratives have been overcooked and turned out to be duds. I'll see about the upcoming flowing hair gold coin and metal in the Fall. If gold spot price continues to soar, the sale price for the gold coin will probably be in the $3,400 range.
Me personally I don't buy silver or gold as an investment. I buy it to hold wealth. Any time I need a little money for emergencies. I have it. Price. will go up. Price. will go down. Savings you can hold.

Yes, I will be a buyer for a complete set of 2024 coins. What I would like to know out of all of the 2023 coins is how many have already been graded 70 condition. . That is what a true collector is going to want. Like the old saying goes condition condition condition.

I feel like buying these on the secondary market seems like a good idea lately.
For MS/PF-70's that is certainly true, and if one is okay with a slabbed 69, you can get it around issue price w/o the grading fees.
@SilverWolverine95 the 2023 Reverse Proof Morgan/Peace dollar set most definitely should have been a "one and done" issue.
The first year and last. That would have given the set it's rarity and mustique it so deserves. Now, it's just another silver coin set.
Im also really disappointed in the packaging and presentation of US Minted coins. Very cheap quality to say the least. I miss the velvet clamshells.

All of these 2023 Morgan & Peace Dollar issues have been losers in the secondary market, just as I predicted before their release by the United States Mint. And I’m predicting the same poor results for all of the 2024 issues as well.

The S is minted at San Francisco.. Not the same Mint as Philly..
In addition to product limits, they should have time limits.
Search TIP: If you include -proof in your search terms, it will exclude items with the word proof in the title. That's a minus sign (no space) 'unwanted word', which could be proof, uncirculated, reverse, whatever.
The proof issues sure look like they far outnumber the uncirculated ones.
Yeah, I might have skipped on the Reverse Proof Set if I knew they were going to be an ongoing product.

Thanks! They actually had the Reverse Proof on the 2024 schedule prior to the November 9th release. I did a video about it....

None of the newer Morgan and Peace dollars are collector items because all the mint marks were needed for the 2021's and zero 2022 were minted so collecting them all is worthless because there is no 2022
