According to the various articles floating around the web, the 660m that this Best Buy has is indeed Kepler. Other G75 models out there may have a 670 which is Fermi (basically 570m with higher clocks)
MSI makes a great laptop with really nice features. The Asus would be more for people that have a budget and can upgrade later. The sound on the MSI I thought was much nicer.
yes, it has 2 slots for 2,5 inch drives so if you only have one hd in it,the ssd will fit without a problem.
I have been given to understand that you can push much harder the 670 while overclocking in comparison with the 660. Just out of the box the 670 gives 20% more performance. (It's also much more expensive).
It does, you can chose to have a 660m or 670m.
Next video is uploading now! I'm blown away how fast this laptop is and the graphics card overclocks like a mofo!
my g74 is 7.1 index.. graphics being the low number.. its got the older 560 m graphics 2gb but as soon as u slap a good ssd in there that bottom number will rise to 7.8/9 and the graphics will be ur low number.. 7.3.. these are very good laptops.
@PaulMichaelNelson True about the salary but truth be told it was an asus g75 woth 2gb vram for $1,299 I went onto their site and looked it up.. Plus some of the new ones have that white corner border on the edges of the track pad Im gonna get it from bestbuy later
The guy in best buy didn't know the new model was an ivy bridge even though it said it was a 3rd gen, he said it may of been an overclock so I googled it :)

I'm using Patriot Pyro SSD's but I would imagine any 2.5" sized HDD/SSD would fit no problems!
It sounded like he said "Keebler" core, now I want some fudge stripes despite not having any here atm. I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles :(
You can turn the LED's off on the MSI (wish people would not complain so much about a feature you didnt have to have on). Apart from that, I see no difference. Besides MSI comes with the Killer, and better speakers (speakers dont matter, I know). What can you say about gaming performance? Haven't seen on video of the comparisons (benchmark tests are useless IMO)

No the 660 is kepler, the 670 is a redone fermi :)

So I have had this computer for about a year I have heard the 660m is a very good g card but yet I still have fps drops also does bad internet cause fps drops or lower it

Poor guys only make $11 a hour so for them to really have a passion for new tech I highly doubt is there.
